EXCURSION TO THE BORROMEAN ISLANDS (2 HRS 30 MIN)(50 EUR) Visit to the famous Borromean Islands, the most popular and visited tourist site in lake Maggiore. This archipelago still belongs to the powerful Borromeo family from Milan. It offers some of the most fascinating and unique sites in the north of Italy. We will travel by ship to visit the Isola Bella where the famous baroque palace was built in honor of Borromeoโ€™s wife Isabella. This palace has borne witness to many events in the history of Italy. We will admire its magnificent hanging gardens designed in terraces with their French style symetric structure, as well as its many sculptures and floral diversity in order to feel the special magic found in this place. Afterwards, we will visit the Isola dei Pescatori, the only one that is really inhabited. We will walk through its characteristic street network. GONDOLA RIDE IN VENICE (20MIN)(40 EUR) A gondola ride along the Canals of Venice is on the wish list of every traveller who visits โ€œthe city of the water streetsโ€. For any mythomaniacs, a gondola ride in Venice is nothing but a romantic dream coming true . There is only one Venice, and the gondola ride is the unique opportunity to get to know the city from the right perspective, the water line. So, get ready for an unforgettable ride in the narrow canals of a city that has existed for more than 1,200 years . This boat, the gondola, is undoubtedly one of the most emblematic images of Venice and one of the most recognisable icons in the world. In the past it was the symbol of elegance and extravagance, why almost every king in Europe wanted gondolas in the lakes and canals of their palaces. For our gondola excursion, we have chosen a special route that runs along part of the Canal Grande , the most elegant avenue in the city. But we will also enter the small c anals , of which many are only accessible by boat. In these narrow straits, we will get the best opportunity to see the gondolier, in his traditional uniform, demonstrate his skills to navigate the vessel around sharp corners and under beautiful bridges. SAILING AROUND THE VENICE LAGOON (2HRS)(40 EUR) We sail towards the north of the lagoon passing by the island of San Michele where there is a monumental cemetery and then by the island of MURANO. We continue sailing until we reach the islands of BURANO and TORCELLO, the northernmost islands of the lagoon. Sailing along the eastern side of the lagoon we pass the island of SAN FRANCESCO DEL DESERTO and the long peninsula of Punta Sabbioni, the Venetiansยด beach. We will be able to admire the Mose plan, the last masterpiece of high engineering technology, which helps Venice during the phenomenon of high tides and separates the Adriatic Sea and the inner lagoon of Venice. We continue to the canal where the Lido of Venice is located, famous for its prestigious Hotel Excelsior and above all where the Palazzo del Cinema is located, where every year the Venice Film Festival takes place. We enter the canal in the south of Venice admiring the 2 famous islands: ISOLA DEGLI ARMENI and SAN SERVOLO also called the island of the madmen. We will pass through the Finance canal where you can admire the famous HOTEL CIPRIANI and we will end the navigation entering again in the Bacino of San Marco. -Private panoramic boat -Explanation with local guide. -A refreshing drink and a snack. ISLAND OF CAPRI (2 HRS)(40 EUR) We include a boat trip to the island of Capri in some of our circuits. In order to make the best of your time on the island, we propose a programme of organised activities. After arriving in this beautiful island, we will go on a boat trip to the White Grotta, the Red Grotta and the Faraglioni as well as Marina Piccola. Once we return to the main port, there will be shuttle buses waiting for us to take us to the city of Capri where we will take a fantastic tour, with our guide, through the islandโ€™s narrow romantic streets to later arrive to the Gardens of Augustus where we will be enjoy the beauty of the islandโ€™s landscapes offered by its lookout. Free time in the city of Capri.       Welcome to your tour with Europamundo! Weโ€™ll transfer you to the hotel and youโ€™ll have some free time. In the afternoon, youโ€™ll find information about the start of your tour on the boards located at the hotel reception.

      Today weโ€™ll see one of the most beautiful scenic areas in Europe, the region of the Italian Lakes. First, weโ€™ll travel to Lake Orta in Orta San Giulio, a well-preserved medieval city. Weโ€™ll take a train ride to reach the medieval center of the town and then a boat to the Island of San Giulio, a little island on the lake with a monastery. After this, weโ€™ll go on to Lake Maggiore, making a stop in Stresa, where weโ€™ll have the option to visit the Borromean Islands. The highlight is Isola Bella, featuring its gardens and palace (closed in the winter). Weยดll have some time for lunch and then weโ€™ll head to Verona.Note: During the winter months, the Orta train does not operate. If that is the case, you can access the medieval town by walking approximately 800 meters from the bus parking lot.

      Weโ€™ll have time to explore Verona, the enchanting city of Romeo and Juliet, before departing for Venice, arriving around 01:00 p.m. A delightful boat trip to St. Markโ€™s Square is included, followed by a guided walking tour of the City of Canals, including a visit to see Murano glasswork. Afterwards, enjoy some leisure timeโ€”perhaps a gondola ride? Accommodation will be in the Mestre district.

After lunch, weโ€™ll traverse the picturesque Apennines, soaking in the breathtaking mountain scenery as we head to Gubbio, a beautifully preserved town known for the impressive Palace of Consuls and the 12th-century cathedral. Finally, weโ€™ll arrive in the enchanting city of Perugia.

      Weโ€™ll embark on a panoramic tour of the historic city of Perugia, famously known as the city of chocolate. Ascending to the city on its escalators that traverse the rocky hills, weโ€™ll be captivated by its charming squares and cobblestone streets. Afterwards, weโ€™ll head to Assisi, where weโ€™ll have time for lunch and a visit to the Basilica of St. Francis. In the afternoon, weโ€™ll continue our journey south (sometimes stopping in Rome to drop off passengers). Weโ€™ll arrive in Naples in the evening.

      Weโ€™ll have free time to explore Naples before boarding a boat for a trip to the Island of Capri, where you can choose to take a boat to Grotta Bianca or the funicular to Capri city. After lunch, weโ€™ll reboard and head to Sorrento, a charming tourist town nestled at the base of a cliff, where youโ€™ll have free time to wander. Our journey will then take us to the Gulf of Salerno, where weโ€™ll stay in the city of Salerno.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Salerno, Pompeii, Naples, Cassino, Rome

      Weโ€™ll begin our day with a visit to Pompeii, where youโ€™ll have the chance to admire the remains of this ancient Roman city, buried by the ashes of Mount Vesuvius (tickets and guided tour included). Afterward, weโ€™ll head to Naples, one of Italyโ€™s most captivating cities and among the oldest continuously inhabited areas in Europe. The historic quarter of Naples, one of the largest in Europe, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Youโ€™ll have time to explore and enjoy lunch. Weโ€™ll then continue to Cassino, where you can visit the breathtaking abbey, the site of one of World War IIโ€™s fiercest battles. Our journey will conclude in Rome, arriving in the evening.
