  • Day 1 Arrival & Afternoon Game Drive

      Arrival & Afternoon Game Drive

      Upon arrival at Durban Port, you will meet the guide at the port at noon and proceed to Thula Thula arriving at around 3 pm, you will check in to the lodge and have your lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will embark on an afternoon game drive. After your game drive, dinner is served at 19h30 in the boma around the fire. A buffet dinner, African style, will be done in the boma, under the African sky.

  • Day 2 Morning Game Drive & St. Lucia Estuary Boat Cruise
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Morning Game Drive & St. Lucia Estuary Boat Cruise

      Morning game drive at 06h30. You will embark on the morning game drive in search of the big 5 animals after the morning drive. Experienced rangers will guide you on exciting safaris in open game drive vehicles through the unique diversity of this ancestral land to encounter big game such as buffalo, elephant, hippo, leopard and rhino, giraffe, hyena, crocodile, and a spectacular variety of other indigenous species and superb birdlife. You will head back to the lodge for lunch and relax at the pool. In the afternoon you will drive to st Lucia and enjoy a Lucia Estuary Boat Cruise, Experience the beauty of the iSimangaliso /Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park on a relaxing two-hour boat cruise (three different daily departure times) along the St. Lucia Estuary. Learn about the magnificent birdlife, hippos & crocs to be sighted with educational talks. The boats offer ample space to walk around in & comfortable seats from which to study the beautiful scenery and are custom-built to venture into shallow waters. Excellent photographic opportunities are a given. After the Boat cruise head back to the lodge for, dinner is served at 19h30 in the boma around the fire. A buffet dinner, African style, will be done in the boma, under the African sky.

  • Day 3 Morning Game Drive At Umfolozi Reserve & Zulu Village Visit

      Morning Game Drive At Umfolozi Reserve & Zulu Village Visit

      Today after breakfast you will head to the KwaZulu-Natal for a big five-game drive. The park now has the largest population of white rhinos in the world. Throughout the park, there are many signs of Stone Age settlements. The area was originally a royal hunting ground for the Zulu kingdom but was established as a park in 1895. The Umfolozi & Hluhluwe reserves were established primarily to protect the white rhinoceros, then on the endangered species list. After the game drive, you will head back to the lodge for lunch. Later Visit a Zulu community and interact with the friendly people of KwaZulu-Natal. A Bantu tribal group, the Zulu are the largest ethnic group in South Africa. A local &Beyond guide will escort you through the community and share interesting insights and narratives about Zulu culture and its fascinating customs, beliefs, and traditions. You will be invited into a traditional Zulu homestead and given the rare opportunity to witness the daily routines and lifestyle of an authentic, rural Zulu family where eons of tradition intersect with modern life. Learn about the family structures, patriarchal duties, and matriarchal responsibilities of the tribe, find out how local homes are constructed and why cattle are so valuable and highly severed. Spend time with the respected local sangoma, a witch doctor and traditional healer, who will explain the significance of the ancestors in Zulu life, as well as the tribeโ€™s spiritual beliefs and the importance of their sacred lands. You will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight

  • Day 4 Morning Game Drive - Departure

      Morning Game Drive - Departure

      Wake up for the 06h30 game drive. Arrive back for breakfast and later checkout and drive to King Shaka International (DUR) to catch your flight at 1:20 pm. The flight is approximately 2 hours direct in arriving in Cape Town at 3.30pm. Upon arrival you will be the driver who will transfer you to Cape Town Port.
