You will visit the Gudauri Monument, also called Gudauri Panorama, just 120 KM from Tbilisi on the Georgian Military Highway to Russia. Built by the Soviet Union to mark the 200th anniversary of the 1783 Georgievsk Treaty, this monument is a must-see historical site.

16:00 Arrive in Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) and depart to Gergeti Trinity Church

After arriving in Kazbegi, we need to change the transport and take a local driver with a 4WD car to take us to Gergeti Trinity Church. Local drivers wait 30 minutes at the church and take us back to our transport.

By 4WD car, we will arrive at the Gergeti Church of the Holy Trinity. Our private guide will assist you to explore the church built by King Giorgi V to establish Christianity in the mountainous Khevi region, Gergeti Monastery became a central place of worship for the locals. It also served as a meeting point for local wise men, discussing community challenges and solutions. Protected by its mountainous location and a defensive wall, Gergeti Church was a secret treasury safeguarded by the dedicated villagers.

We will head over to Sighnaghi, the City of Love. You will check out the most fantastic old town built and located on a hill. You will experience incredible views of Alazani Valley. A leisurely walk along the narrow streets full of colorful buildings will be an unforgettable exploration for you. Another reason why every tourist should visit Signaghi is that it is one of the best grapes for winemaking. There are wines with unique grape varieties- Khikhvi, Rkatsiteli, Grdzelmtevana, etc.

16:10 JSC “Corporation Kindzmarauli”

We keep the adventure going to Corporation Kindzmarauli. You will explore more about Georgian winemaking history and secrets. The traditional wine cellar was built by the King of Kakheti - Levan. On the territory, wine was produced in peaceful times. However, during wartime, the cellar was used to shelter the population.

This unique private tour includes a visit to a family winery. After Badiauri, we go to Bodbe Nunnery. Bodbe Nunnery of St. Nino is located in Kakheti, 2 kilometers from Sighnaghi. According to the legend, it is built on the burial place of Saint Nino—a saint for Georgians who converted their religion to Christianity. Georgian kings were paying great attention to the Bodbe Monastery. It has been repaired and restored many times.

12:30 Sighnaghi – the City of Love and the Great Wall of Georgia

Signagi is a town in Kakheti, 75 km east of Tbilisi. The Great Wall of Georgia has stunning views for taking pictures, and the city is surrounded by it. However, Georgia’s smallest towns serve as popular tourist destinations due to their location at the heart of Georgia’s wine-growing region, its picturesque landscapes, pastel houses with wooden fretwork balconies, and narrow cobblestone streets.

In Sighnaghi, we have lunch with the beautiful view of Alazani valley. Try many delicious Georgian dishes. Eating Georgian food, drinking some good wine, and looking at Alazani valley from the top is a great experience that is a must to do while in Georgia.

16:10 Khareba Winery

Duration: 1 hour and 10 minutes

Winery Khareba is the largest of Georgia’s wine cellars. There are perfect storage conditions for wine, 7,7 km of tunnels, and galleries maintain a constant temperature of 12-14 degrees 0C. You have a walking tour with a local guide where you’ll find out more information and details about wine and taste it. The complex has an excellent museum in the tunnel which you will see during the tour.

Duration: 1 hour and 10 minutes

Corporation Kindzmarauli’s history dates back to 1533 and is connected with the construction of the historical Kvareli fortress in the region. The fortress’s wine cellar produced wine and molasses exclusively for the royal families for much of its history and now has opened to the broader local and international market.
