Surfing - Milibangalala - Maputo Special Reserve - 5 Days

For those wanting an original and unique place to surf and explore, this is the place for you. Milibangalala is located in the Maputo Special Reserve surrounded by grasslands and forest.

The waves at Milibangalala are great for surfing and visited mainly by locals only. This means that you will not run into the problem of someone 'stealing' your wave. You'll enjoy one of the most scenic routes to the beach possible, through the Maputo Special Reserve. Here you'll have a chance to see some of the Reserve's most popular inhabitants about in their natural habitat.

Itinerary:

Day 1: 

This morning will be an early one! You can expect your guide to pick you up from your location in Maputo at approximately 5:30am. On the way, the guide will give you a light breakfast to enjoy while we cross the ferry to Catembe.

By now, we are on our way to the Reserve, but first we will make a stop at the village of Salamanga to visit a Hindu Temple and a traditional bread factory.

Upon arrival at the Maputo Special Reserve, and on our way to lunch, you'll begin to notice wildlife roaming about, a casual drive through a magnificent habitat.

Once we finish our lunch, we will continue on towards Milibangalala where we will camp overnight. 

When we arrive, the staff will begin camp setup and you have a chance to relax or hit the waves for the rest of the day.

This evening, we will enjoy a delicious dinner served up by our camp chef and we will camp in semi-luxury tents.

Day 2: Free day to surf or opt for extra activities.

Day 3: Free day to surf or opt for extra activities. 

Day 4: Free day to surf or opt for extra activities.

Day 5: On your last morning here, you can spend your time soaking in the last bit of surf and sun. Our camp staff will take down our camp and prepare lunch.

After lunch, we will begin our journey back to Maputo. Our guide will drop you back off at your accommodation in Maputo around 6:30pm.
