Itinerary of your trip Romantic Islands Of Greece

  • Day 1 Arraival to Athens
    Arraival to Athens
    • 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

      Arraival to Athens

You begin your adventure in Greece upon arrival at the Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport (ATH) in Athens, where a representative awaits you for the transfer by private vehicle to the hotel with a sign with the name of the operator.

The shuttle will wait until 1 hour after your flight landing time. If you experience changes by the airline or delays in receiving your baggage, you must contact the emergency number to avoid losing it. In case you do not notify the transfer to the hotel it must be on your own taking a taxi from the airport.

Check-in at the hotel is available from 3:00 PM, if you arrive during the early morning or very early and before that time you will probably need to add an additional night to rest properly.

After check-in you have free time to rest or start touring the city on your own.

In the afternoon, our agent (spanish speaking) will meet you at the hotel to give you a talk about your itinerary and will distribute all the necessary documents as well as the ferry tickets.

Athens, capital of Greece, is the economic, political and cultural center of the country, also has large temples and buildings that have lasted for years.

      Meals: Not included

Accommodation: Jason Inn Hotel 3 stars or similar, (Double Room)

Note 1: You must share your flight itinerary 61 days prior to the start of your experience in order to correctly coordinate your internal flights and your airport-hotel transfer. If you do not upload your passports at least 61 days prior to the start of your experience, you may incur additional unforeseen expenses. The transfer drivers can speak Spanish or basic.

Note 2: We recommend visiting Greece during the summer (April - October) as the weather is much more pleasant. During winter (November to March) it is not recommended as it is usually cold and many of the establishments on small islands (such as Naxos) are closed.

  • Day 2 Athens - Parliament - Ilion Palace - Temple of Zeus - Hadrian's Gate - Free afternoon
Athens - Parliament - Ilion Palace - Temple of Zeus - Hadrian's Gate - Free afternoon
    • 7:00 am - 7:30 pm

Athens - Parliament - Ilion Palace - Temple of Zeus - Hadrian's Gate - Free afternoon

In the morning, after breakfast, you will depart by coach to tour the most famous monuments of Athens on a panoramic tour.

During the tour we passed by the Parliament with the monument of the Unknown Soldier, Syntagma Square, the Neoclassical Trilogy, Omonia Square, the 19th century Parliament, the Catholic Cathedral, the Roman Temple of Zeus, the Arch of Hadrian and we stopped to take photos of the famous Olympic stadium where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896.

Then you will have the visit of the Acropolis with the Propylaea, the temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon and the Erechtheon. Afterwards you can return to the hotel or add the ticket to visit the Acropolis Museum (not included, you can purchase it in the extras section) to visit it at your own pace. If you reserve the museum, the transfer to the Hotel will be on your own.

  • Day 3 Athens - Piraeus Pier - Ferry to Naxos.
Athens - Piraeus Pier - Ferry to Naxos.
    • 6:00 am - 1:00 pm

Athens - Piraeus Pier - Ferry to Naxos.

In the morning, after breakfast, you leave the hotel early to board the ferry. If you leave the hotel very early, you can ask the hotel to prepare your breakfast to go, ask your assistant or directly at the hotel how to request it, you must request it a day before.

They pick you up at the hotel to take you to the port of Piraeus. From where they board a ferry through the Aegean Sea (approximately 5 hours drive) to the Island of Naxos.

The seats of the ferries are numbered and tourist class, your ticket will be delivered in your hand with the seat number, try not to lose it or you will have to buy it again on your own..

Upon your arrival on the island, one of our representatives will wait for you to transfer you to our hotel.

Naxos- Free day to explore the island.. Photo 1 Naxos- Free day to explore the island.. Photo 2
    • 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

Naxos- Free day to explore the island.

After your breakfast, you have the day free to explore the largest island in the Cyclades at your own pace. Its beautiful sandy beaches attract many visitors, but the unique feature of the island is that it combines the color of the Cycladic summer with the atmosphere of the mountain Monte Za, it is the highest mountain in the Cyclades.

Some of its villages, such as Apiranthos, are definitely worth visiting. The Naxos Town Castle and the famous "Portara" (great marble gate) guarding the port complete the landscape of a truly picturesque island.

We recommend visiting the Old temple dedicated to Dรญmitra (it is located in the middle of the cultivated fields of the island), sister of Zeus, goddess of agriculture and fertility (not included).

You can also visit the town of Vivlos, famous for its three windmills, or choose to visit Filoti, a very interesting and picturesque small village (not included).

If you prefer to walk along the beaches, these are a great option on the island of Naxos, since you don't have to go far from the city to find them, huge and without a large influx of tourists. We suggest visiting Pyrgaki, Aliko, Hawaii Beach or Plaka, among others (not included).

      Meals: Breakfast

Accommodation: Xenia Hotel 3 stars or similar. (Double Room)

Note 1: The itinerary times are approximate. On the Island of Naxos, very few people speak Spanish, so it is likely that if you do not know English you will require support to communicate with service providers (transfer drivers, hotel receptionists, etc.). Your assistant at the destination is there to support you with any questions, you can call the emergency phone number at any time (it has WhatsApp).

Note 2: During the months of November - March the location of the hotel may change, being not central, the name of the confirmed hotel will be sent to you at least 7 days before your trip through chat. This is because it is low season on the islands and many establishments are closed.

  • Day 5 Naxos - Aegean Sea - Santorini.
Naxos - Aegean Sea - Santorini.
    • 6:00 am - 3:30 pm

Naxos - Aegean Sea - Santorini.

After enjoying the stunning island of Naxos, you leave the hotel very early to board the ferry. If you leave the hotel very early, you can ask the hotel to prepare your breakfast to go, ask your assistant or directly at the hotel how to request it, you must request it a day before.

At the established time in the morning (specified in your pre-trip document or by the guide whe you arrive), you board the vehicle to head to the port of Naxos, where you sail by ferry across the sea to your next destination, the island that is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, Santorini.

The seats on the ferries are numbered, your ticket will be hand-delivered with the seat number, try not to lose it or you will have to buy it again on your own.

As you approach the island you can enjoy the fascinating landscape, undoubtedly an ideal moment to photograph the city of Fira, with its white houses on the cliff overlooking the volcano.

  • Day 6 Santorini - Free time
    Santorini - Free time
    • 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

      Santorini - Free time

Your day begins with breakfast, on this day you have free time on this magical island considered by many to be the lost continent of Atlantis to discover it at your own pace.

The name of the island is a distortion of the name that Venetian merchants gave it in the Middle Ages. They called her Santa Irene, because she was the patron saint of the island.

In 1576 Santorini became part of the Duchy of Naxos, until the Turkish conquest of Piyale Pasha.

If you wish, you can add any of the following additional excursions to visit the Volcanoes in the Caldera (see the extras tab).

      Option 1: Volcano-Hot Springs-Thirassia

Available if you travel from April 1st to November 5th.

Sail to the volcanic islands of the Santorini caldera region. Swim in hot springs, admire views from an active volcano and explore the typical village of Thirassia.

Sail around the volcanic islands of the Santorini Caldera on a unique traditional Greek boat. First, you will sail to the lava islet of Nea Kameni. You will walk guided by an ascending path until you reach its summit where the crater of the still active volcano is located. You will enjoy incredible views of Santorini from a different angle.

You will return to the boat and continue to the second lava islet called Palea Kameni, also known as Hot Springs. You can jump off the boat and soak in green sulfur hot springs.

The next stop is to the traditional island of Thirassia, where you will enjoy free time. You can relax in the small and picturesque port of Thirassia, have lunch or visit the village of Manolas (not included), which is accessed by a spiral staircase, either walking or riding a donkey (we do not recommend riding a donkey as we do not promote use of animals for tourism activities, however this option is available at the destination).

Round-trip transfers from Athinios port (not from the hotel) and local Spanish-speaking guide included. Food, drinks and tickets to the volcano are not included and can only be paid at the destination, approximate cost โ‚ฌ5.

      Option 2: Volcano-Hot springs-Thirassia, sunset in Oia

Available from May 15 to September 30.

The tour is the same as the previous one, however after visiting Thirassia this option includes an afternoon transfer to Oia to enjoy free time and see the iconic sunset. The tour will end after sunset.

Round-trip transfers from Athinios port (not from the hotel) and local Spanish-speaking guide included. Food, drinks and tickets to the volcano are not included and can only be paid at the destination, approximate cost โ‚ฌ5.

      Meals: Breakfast

Accommodation: Hotel Iliada 3 stars or similar, (Double Room)

Note: The itinerary times are approximate. This day you can add only one of the extra tours mentioned above, they are the same except that one includes transfers to Oia to see the sunset.

  • Day 7 Santorini - Athens
    Santorini - Athens
    • 6:00 am - 5:00 pm

      Santorini - Athens

At the indicated time, our staff will transfer you to the Santorini airport, where you will board the domestic flight (includes 15 kilos of checked luggage) to Athens.

If you want to stay longer on the Island you can add additional nights in Santorini in the "extras" section.

The internal flight can leave very early in the morning (around 8am), so it is likely that you will leave the hotel very early this day (around 6am).
