      Santiago is a mixture between the old and the modern, characteristic that we invite you to know. Our tour through Santiago will show the immensity of the city, its varied geography, and civility. We will guide you through Plaza de Armas, the main square of Santiago, where the cathedral, main post office, and city hall are located. You will be told about the origins of our city. The next stop is the civic neighborhood and the surroundings of La Moneda government palace. After that we ฬll drive through some of the old neighborhoods of Santiago, like Republica and Concha y Toro, Later we will visit the eastern part of the city and weโ€™ll see the modern buildings and the changes that they have brought to the neighborhood. We finish our tour in a handicraft store located in an exclusive neighborhood, where weโ€™ll appreciate with a Pisco Sour, Lapizlazuli masterpieces, made with this stone that just exists in Chile and Afghanistan.

      We invite you to walk through the beautiful streets of Valparaiso, one of the main ports of Chile and named World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003. You will be able to watch from its balconies the marvelous bay and the colorful hills that have inspired famous artists like painters, architects, musicians and poets such as Pablo Neruda. 

      We will discover the city, following the steps through the hillsides and the different artistsโ€™ lives.

      After lunch, we will visit the city of Viรฑa del Mar, a coastal city neighbor of Valparaiso. Its beaches and boulevards surrounded by palm trees and beautiful parks have five the name of Ciudad Jardin (Garden City). Viรฑa del Mar is a popular weekend and holiday destination for people of Santiago, despite its cold waters due to the Humboldt Current. Overnight: Santiago.

      We start our trip by visiting the city of Llanquihue, famous for its traditional and tasty sausages. This area is part of the ancient Route of the Settlers and is the place where the Maullin River is born. During the tour around the city, we will visit the German Colonists Memorial and then head towards the Frutillar city. This city is a beautiful village that recalls the old Bavaria, from where the first colonizers arrived. In 1856 Frutillar was just a boarding pier, soon appeared tanneries, mills, and breweries that brought the region to life. We will walk around the beautiful old houses of German style, admiring the gardens and the incomparable views of the Osorno and Puntiagudo volcanoes framing the city. As an option, passengers can go to the German Colonial Museum which portrays the life of the settlers, and at the lakeshore (tickets not included) observe the Teatro del Lago (Lake Theatre) that yearly presents the famous Frutillar Musical Week, a Summer Festival of classic music from Chile and abroad.

      OPTIONAL EXCURSION: FD to Chiloe Island: Ancud, Caulin & Puรฑihuil Penguin Rookery

      We begin the tour on our way to Pargua, south of Puerto Varas city; here we will board a ferry to sail through the Chacao Channel, this channel separates the continent of Chiloe Island. During the navigation, we see sea wolves, pelicans and sea birds autochthon in this area.

      The ferry berths at Chacao pier, here we see the houses that are built with Alerce wood, and the Churches that are National Heritage Site then continue along a coastal route and we are going to visit Caulรญn beach, a place very famous for the oysters and rich marine fauna.

      Later we will go to Puรฑihuil beach; there we get a boat, that will take us to a small island where we find the Magallanes Penguin and Humboldt Penguin, this is the place where these two species make their nests, a during generations they have coexisted together, making this islands the only place in the world where this happens. 

      The tour guide will explain to us the way of life of these birds, the surroundings and the abundance of food that makes it possible that these islands become a wild paradise. Itโ€™s important to say that Puรฑihuil was declared National Heritage for its ecological relevance. 

      Later we continue our trip to Ancud city, where we can see the San Antonio Fort.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Puerto Varas/ Bariloche - Lake Crossing Excursion

      At the set time you will be transferred to the port to take the Andean Lake crossing navigation. Departures from Puerto Varas. The tour will then follow to Petrohue, bordering Llanquihue Lake. Throughout the journey on route, you will be able to enjoy imposing sights of Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes. Entrance to Vicente Perez National Park, a place where you will visit the Petrohue falls (tickets not included), impressive volcanic rock shapes, which the emerald green water covers. Set sail to Peulla, navigating Todos Los Santos Lake. If the weather permits it you will keep on enjoying the scenery of Osorno and Puntiagudo Volcanoes and Tronador Hill. Arrival to Peulla, ecological Village, a paradise for the nature lovers. Here you will have lunch (not included). After lunch, we will board a bus with a destination to Puerto Frias. Customs procedures to exit Chile and enter Argentina. We will cross the Andes Mountains at only 976 meters over sea level. We will start to go down the road to Puerto Frรญas, and navigate through the lake that receives the same name: Lago Frias (Lake Frias) and head journey onto Puerto Alegre, place in where we will board a bus to Puerto Blest. Depart from Puerto Blest, this will be our last navigation through Nahuel Huapi Lake with destination to Puerto Paรฑuelo, we will take a bus to do the last portion and destination to โ€œThe Argentinean city of Tourismโ€, San Carlos de Bariloche. City in which throughout the year fascinates the tourist with its Ski center, commerce, hotels, restaurants and nightlife.

      Day 8: Excursion "Circuito Chico" And Cerro Campanario

      Today, you will discover the picturesque town of Bariloche and its surroundings by doing the "Circuito Chico" tour (Short Circuit). It starts by going along Nahuel Huapi Lake to Bonita Beach, where the Huemul Island can be seen. Later, you will arrive at the foothill of Cerro Campanario (1,050 meters / 3,500 ft. above sea level) where a chair lift can take visitors up to the top and appreciate the beautiful landscape surrounding Bariloche. The highlights are the Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno Lakes, the Trebol Lagoon, the San Pedro and Llao Llao peninsulas, Victoria Island, the Otto, Lopez, Catedral and Goye mountains. Continuing the trip, you will pass by the San Pedro Peninsula and will get to the Llao Llao peninsula where it is possible to see the renowned hotel and the local San Bernardo church. You will pass by the hotel golf courses, the bridge over the Angostura River and that joins the Moreno and Nahuel Huapi lakes. The next stop will be at a natural lookout point. Then, after going around El Trebol lagoon, you will start heading back to the city closing and finishing this circuit.

      The tour includes attractions such as 9 de Julio Avenue, the Obelisk and Corrientes Street. The first stop will be in the Plaza de Mayo to visit the Cathedral and the Cabildo (Old City Hall). After that, the trip will continue towards the most traditional neighborhood of Buenos Aires, San Telmo, which is characterized by its old colonial houses and the cobblestoned streets. Later on, the tour will go to La Boca Neighborhood located in the south of the city. There will be a new scheduled stop to look around the colorful zinc houses that make up this area of Buenos Aires and that used to be the refuge and home for the first immigrants and popular artists. Soon after, the vehicle continues to Puerto Madero โ€“ the old port of the city that was turned into one of the most exclusive gastronomic and residential areas in Buenos Aires. The tour will go to Palermo: one of the most extended areas in the city and where it is possible to find the popular woods of Palermo with more or less 300 ha (741 acres) of gardens and artificial ponds surrounded by elegant buildings. Finally, the last point in the tour is Recoleta, which is one of the most selected neighborhoods and where, among other attractions, the Recoleta Cemetery can be found. Also, there are bars, cafes and fancy restaurants that are worth a visit. Overnight: Buenos Aires.
