      Visit of the city of Salta and its surroundings, in its route it stands out from the rest of the cities of the country due to its Hispanic appearance with houses of ground floor or a single floor, narrow streets, and sidewalks, framed in surrounding mountains, historic houses will be observed. We will begin our tour in the main square 09 de Julio, the San Bernardo Convent, the oldest religious construction of Salta, with its carob portal carved by aborigines, a jewel of Salta art. The Church San Francisco with its tower of 53 mts tall; Built-in 1796, it combines ornamental details of Baroque, Italian academic and neoclassical styles. The Cathedral with its facade that is framed in a classic Italian style, with very elaborate friezes and cornices. , where the remains of Gen. Martín Miguel de Güemes rest, a reference in Salta for the deeds of Independence and, in turn, the Cabildo where the Historical Museum of the North now operates. Nearby is the Church of San Francisco, one of the most beautiful Catholic temples in the North; Built-in 1796, it combines ornamental details of Baroque, Italian academic and neoclassical styles.

      Continuing we reach San Bernardo´s hill, at the foot stands the Monument to General Güemes carved in stone extracted from the same hill and that culminates with the equestrian figure of the hero, cast in bronze. It passes through the Catholic University, Vaqueros River, Castellanos creek, Lesser, until reaching San Lorenzo, a picturesque town of rest very appreciated to enjoy the summer holidays of Salta, located in the so-called sector of the Yungas very close to the San Lorenzo River, northwest of the Lerma Valley, where you can see an interesting landscape and colorful rooms as well as attractive houses.

      The Quebrada of San Lorenzo is a place to appreciate with its tall vegetation that during the summer is covered with mist, typical of the area of the Yungas. On the way back, we visit the Handicrafts Market of Salta.

      In 2003, the Quebrada de Humahuaca has declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the Cultural Landscape category.

      This excursion will take us from Salta through the province of Jujuy to visit and visit its enchanting landscapes and villages and to travel almost 10,000 years of history. From south to north, the Quebrada de Humahuaca rises in Volcán, where the mountains abruptly abandon the green and give way to ocher and brown mountains. Without leaving the contour of the Rio Grande, you arrive at the town of Tumbaya, which shelters its beautiful church built-in 1796. When you deviate along National Route No. 52, you enter Purmamarca, a town of legends and singers, which has a church dedicated to Santa Rosa de Lima dating from 1648. The town of Purmamarca has been built at the foot of the internationally known "Cerro de Siete Colores".

      The tour continues through Tilcara where you visit its Pucará (old indigenous fortress), today reconstructed, it is a palpable sample of the splendor of its ancient inhabitants, the tilcaras. Towards the North, after passing through Huacalera and the Tropic of Capricorn, you arrive at Uquía, which in its Church treasures one of the most important collections of the famous "Arcabuceros Angels", emblematic examples of Cuzco painting.

      The city of Humahuaca, the heart of the Quebrada, awaits the visitor full of natural, historical and cultural attractions. Among the latter stand out the Monument to the Heroes of Independence and the articulated image of San Francisco Solano, who every noon makes its appearance in the central square to bless the people.
