Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Johannesburg to Tremisana

Stop At: Balule Nature Reserve, Hoedspruit, South Africa
Board an open Landcruiser for a 3h Sunset Drive, your first opportunity to experience the fauna and flora of Africa. Watch the magnificent African sunset and, after dark, use a spotlight to view nocturnal animals. Dinner in the Marula Tree Boma will be a BUSH BRAAI. After dinner, continue with your Night Drive and overnight in en suite air conditioned chalets.

Day 2: Game walk and game drive

Stop At: Balule Nature Reserve, Hoedspruit, South Africa
Early morning coffee and rusks before we drive to

the Olifants River for an amazing 4 h BUSH WALK with armed and

experienced rangers. You will learn about the smaller denizens of

the bush and will learn about tracking and spoor identification.

Adrenalin surges will be acute as signs of the presence of the Big

Five is everywhere. Return to Tremisana for brunch.

Stop At: Motlala Game Lodge, Farm Guernsey KU 81, Hoedspruit, 1380, South Africa
You will then be transferred to the brand-new Katekani Tented Lodge. Lunch will be served in the Lapa and after a rest or swim in your private splash pool, we go to MOTLALA GAME RESERVE for a 3h Game Drive. Dinner and overnight at Katekani.

Day 3: Kruger National Park

Stop At: Kruger National Park, Malalan Gate, Nelspruit 1350 South Africa
After breakfast, you drive on an open Game Viewer to the ORPEN gate of Kruger Park. You will have a full day of game viewing and bird watching in this world-renowned game reserve. Return to Katekani for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Moholoholo and Game Drive

Stop At: Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, R531, Hoedspruit South Africa
After breakfast, we drive to Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre for orphaned and injured animals. The animals at the centre are in enclosed pens and have been rehabilitated but are not yet able to be released into the wild as they are incapable of fending for themselves. They serve a good purpose insofar as tourists can see that the project has successfully rehabilitated an animal that was destined to otherwise die - these animals arrive at Moholoholo as the result of being orphaned, poisoned, caught in poachersโ€™ snares etc.

By visiting the centre we are supporting the important conservation work they do.

Stop At: Tshukudu Game Lodge, R40, Hoedspruit 1380 South Africa
At around 15h00 we drive to Tshukudu Game Reserve where we

enjoy a 3 h game drive. The chances of finding the Big Five in this

enclosed reserve are very high. Dinner and overnight at Katekani.

Day 5: Morning walk and Transfer back to JHB

Stop At: Tshukudu Game Lodge, R40, Hoedspruit 1380 South Africa
You go on a short morning walk with an armed ranger.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve, R543, 2351 South Africa
After breakfast, we travel to the Blyde River Canyon with a stop at the

Three Rondawels. Return to Johannesburg and surrounds at around

17h00. Airport dropoff by arrangement.
