      You will be picked up just outside the port upon your arrival and then depart by road for

      Thanda Safari is a celebrated Big Five private game reserve situated in the soulful wilderness of northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is world-renowned for its exclusive experience of the African bush and understated luxury, matched with its celebration of Zulu culture and passionate conservation of the environment.


      Each of the 9 bush suites is a tribute to African abundance, with a spacious lounge, majestic master bedroom, double-sided fireplace and an indulgent bathroom, with a beautiful bath, and an indoor and outdoor shower.       Wake up to a morning game drive in Thanda Reserve before returning for breakfast. After breakfast, we depart for Phinda Mountain Lodge on the Phinda Private Game Reserve!


      Phinda Private Game Reserve is home to a magnificent variety of wildlife, including the entire Big Five, but is best known for its large population of the elegant cheetah and the endangered black rhino, both of which are less easily spotted at other game reserves. The rare sand forest is home to the shy suni and the rare red duiker, two tiny antelope that are seldom encountered elsewhere. The reserveโ€™s population of nyala is the biggest on private land and guests are guaranteed frequent encounters with this stately animal.


      Upon arrival you will settle into your surroundings before enjoying a light lunch and an

      afternoon game drive in the Phinda Reserve. Overnight Phinda Mountain Lodge.

Steeped in Zulu heritage, this lodge offers a spectacular experience, with its beautiful mountain-view suites, cottages, and its one-of-kind family suite, with panoramic vistas, and access to a selection of unique safari adventures.

      A typical day on safari at Phinda would be as follows:

      05h30- Wake-up time and morning tea

      06h00-Morning safari departs

      15h00-Afternoon safari departs
