6 Day Cape To Addo Safari

Itinerary

Day 1: Cape Town to Struisbaai: Overberg, Whale Route, Cape Agulhus *Optional Shark Cage Diving (To be pre-booked)

Pass By: Gordon's Bay, Gordon's Bay, Western Cape
As we depart Cape Town, our exciting journey begins today as we join the world famous whale route in Gordons Bay for a stunning drive along the picturesque R44 mountain pass overlooking False Bay to the vibrant coastal town of Hermanus. During Whale season, we will get to enjoy land based Whale watching

Stop At: Walker Bay Estate and Birkenhead Brewery, R326, Stanford, Overstrand 7210 South Africa
At the beautiful Birkenhead Brewery you will get to sample some fine beers before moving on to the southernmost tip of Africa in Cape Agulhas National Park.

Stop At: Cape Agulhas - Southernmost Tip of Africa, South Africa
We get to travel to the Southernmost tip of Africa and no visit is complete without a photo being taken at the iconic monument indicating the spot where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Indian Ocean.

Day 2: Cape Agulhas to Sedgefield: Zipline Obstacle course & Aloe Factory

Stop At: Alcare Aloe, 39 Industrial Road, Albertina 6695 South Africa
Stretch your legs in an indigenous garden, featuring 17 species of aloes; get to explore the shop and grab some products
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Acrobranch Wildwoods, Timberlake, Wilderness 6560 South Africa
For our last stop we will enjoy some fun with either a canopy tour, experience the thrill of crossing rope bridges, wobbly crossings and zip wires high up in the trees OR some Quad Biking.

Stop At: Myoli Beach, Sedgefield, 6573, South Africa
Myoli Beach situated in Sedgefield on the Garden Route is an outstanding beach with exquisite views, soft sands and clear waters. This is a must visit for anyone passing by!

Day 3: Oudtshoorn day trip: Little Karoo, Cango Caves, Ostrich Farm

Stop At: The Cango Caves, 328 Approximately 30km (19 miles) from town on the R, Oudtshoorn 6625 South Africa
The Cango Caves will be the first stop and here we’ll embark on a 1-hour guided tour of the cave system to view its massive caverns and a wonderland of stalactite and stalagmite formations, millions of years old. Cango Caves is a world heritage site and one of the great wonders of the natural world. If you enjoy spelunking and don’t mind trying to squeeze through some smaller gaps then you are also welcome to take the 1.5 hour adventure tour!

Stop At: Oudtshoorn, Oudtshoorn, Western Cape
Visit the Ostrich farm where you get to see the eggs, incubators and chicks (in season) learn about the history, farming practices and industry with ostriches

Day 4: Sedgefield – Jeffrey’s Bay: Monkey Sanctuary, Bloukrans Bungee & Tsitsikamma National Park

Stop At: Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary, Monkeyland Road Animal Alley, The Crags, Plettenberg Bay 6600 South Africa
Monkeyland is the worlds first free roaming multi-specie primate sanctuary. It's mission is to educate and foster greater understanding of our primate cousins and the threats and challenges they are facing.
Duration: 1 minute

Stop At: Bloukrans Bridge, N2, Tsitsikamma National Park South Africa
Recognised as the highest commercial bungee bridge in the world! Face your fears by bungee jumping! This has to be on everybody's bucket list!
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Tsitsikamma National Park, Tsitsikamma National Park, Eastern Cape
If you are not keen on heights, you can take a beautiful walk through the indigenous Tsitsikamma National Park to the Storms river swing bridges before we head to the famous surfing town of Jeffreys Bay where we stay at a backpackers directly on the beach.

Stop At: Jeffreys Bay, Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape
We settle for the night at the beautiful coastal town of Jeffery's Bay, it is seen as surfers paradise and is the perfect location to catch amazing sunsets

Day 5: Jeffrey’s Bay – Addo National Park – Sedgefield: Game Drive (Addo), Surfing/ Shopping time (Jeffrey’s bay)

Stop At: Jeffreys Bay, Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape
J'Bay as it's known by locals is perfect to catch some waves as it's one of the most famous surf spots on earth or explore the towns many surf factory shops.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Addo Elephant National Park, Addo Elephant National Park, Greater Addo, Eastern Cape
Wake up early and head to Addo Elephant National park where we go on a morning game drive to view the multitudes of wild animals. Addo is home to the Big 5 and it also has the highest concentration of African Elephants in the world!
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Knysna Heads, Coney Glen Road, Knysna 6571 South Africa
We then take a relaxed drive back towards Sedgefield for the night. If there is time available we will visit the famous Knysna Heads for some absolutely amazing pictures where the ocean meets the inlet to the Knysna Lagoon.

Day 6: Sedgefield to Cape Town: Return to Cape Town via Sir Lowry’s Pass

Stop At: Wilderness, Wilderness, Western Cape
After a breakfast we begin a beautiful canoe trip down one of the many tranquil rivers in the area, followed by a short hike to a stunning waterfall.
Duration: 1 hour

Pass By: Sir Lowry's Pass, N 2 Vicino a Cape Town, 7130 South Africa
Enjoy a wonderful scenic drive via Swellendam and Sir Lowry’s Pass. We arrive in Cape Town late afternoon/early evening.
