Day 1: Arrival day - Peรฑas Blancas Border

Pass By: Granada, Granada, Granada Department
Welcome to Nicaragua Land of Lakes and Volcanoes! You arrive at the Peรฑas Blancas Border, after customs procedures you are transferred to your hotel at the colonial gem of Central America, Granada.

No meals included on this day.
Accommodation included: Overnight at Hotel El Almirante at the center in Granada.

Day 2: Organic Coffee & Chocolate experience

Stop At: Mombacho Volcano Natural Reserve, Granada Nicaragua
A real treat for coffee lovers, on this tour you'll visit the coffee plantation of Cafรฉ Las Flores, idyllically located on the slopes of an inactive volcano within the Mombacho Volcano Nature Reserve. Here you'll learn about sustainable coffee cultivation and at the end of the tour enjoy coffee tasting at Hacienda Cafรฉ Las Flores.

Note that although this tour can be done the whole year round, from November to February is the harvest season. During these months you can see how the beans are picked, washed, peeled and dried. You can help pick the beans using a basket strapped around your waist.

Stop At: ChocoMuseo Granada, Calle atrvesada, frenetic a bancentro, Granada 43000 Nicaragua
On this interactive workshop, popular with couples and families, you learn everything about cacao and chocolate-making and prepare handmade chocolate from Nicaraguan organic cacao beans. This one-and-a-half-hour activity covers the entire process, starting from the cocoa bean and ending with your very own handmade bar of chocolate. The preparation of cocoa-based beverages is part the workshop, including a mystical ancient indigenous drink. Learn about cultural heritage in a positive and joyful way, with the promise of delicious chocolate to wrap up the experience.

Day 3: Overland & Aquatic transfer to Ometepe Island

Pass By: Isla de Ometepe, Isla de Ometepe, Rivas Department
Enjoy an early breakfast. At 7:30 Hrs we departure towards San Jorge Port to embark on the ferry to visit Ometepe Island. At your arrival at the port, a representative will help you with the ferry tickets. Enjoy the wonderful views of the way! Afternoon at leisure.

Day 4: Gastronomic Experience on the island

Stop At: Isla de Ometepe, Isla de Ometepe, Rivas Department
Get on board for this marvelous culinary experience with a local women's cooperative, known as Puesta del Sol, located in the surroundings of Moyogalpa. During the tour, you will visit the cooperative and participate in a wine and medicinal plants tour on the property which has impressive views of the volcanoes and the island, followed by a cooking class where you will learn about the delicious Nicaraguan cuisine. Share a meal with the locals and get to know the culture of the Ometepinos, the island inhabitants. After the lunch we will have a wine tasting to complete this culinary experience.

Day 5: Transfer Peรฑas Blancas

Pass By: Rivas Department, Rivas Department
Today you will be transferred back to mainland Nicaragua, first by private vehicle from San Josรฉ del Sur to Moyogalpa and later by ferry from Moyogalpa to San Jorge. In San Jorge you will be transferred to the border. At the other side of the border, a transfer will bring you to the Peรฑas Blanca Border. End of our services.

Tour leaving from Rivas

Rivas is a city located in southern Nicaragua, near the Pacific coast. It is known for its beautiful beaches, such as San Juan del Sur, and its rich history and culture. Rivas is a popular destination for surfers and offers a wide variety of outdoor activities, such as hiking and bird watching. Additionally, the city has charming colonial architecture and delicious local cuisine.
