  • Day 1 Arrival In Kathmandu

      As you arrive at the airport, one of our friendly Asian Heritage Treks & Travel representatives will be waiting for you with a sign with your name. You will then be quickly dropped off at your hotel. Along the way, youโ€™ll see iconic landmarks such as the Open Cremation Place (Pashupatinath Temple), the Royal Palace Museum (Narayanhity), and the tranquil Garden of Dreams, all before arriving in Thamel.


      Your hotel, conveniently located in downtown, puts you right in the heart of the tourist district. Once settled, our representative will be available to answer any questions and go over your travel plans. Donโ€™t worry, youโ€™ll have plenty of time to explore Thamelโ€™s vibrant streets at your leisure.

  • Day 2 Sightseeing In Kathmandu

      Sightseeing In Kathmandu

      After breakfast, our friendly tour guide and driver will transport you in a comfortable vehicle. Weโ€™ll begin our journey by visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its intricately carved temples and historic buildings that provide a glimpse into ancient Kathmandu. Next, weโ€™ll travel to Swyambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, to enjoy panoramic views of Kathmandu.


      Following that, we will go to Pashupatinath Temple, one of Southeast Asiaโ€™s most important Hindu pilgrimage sites. Youโ€™ll see the traditional Hindu cremation ceremony and explore the peaceful surroundings. We can also visit the nearby Guweyswori Temple, another important pilgrimage site. Our final stop will be at Boudhanath Stupa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to 600 A.D. It is a unique Buddhist symbol that provides a peaceful setting for reflection. Following our sightseeing excursion, you can return to your hotel to unwind.

  • Day 3 Sightseeing In Patan And Bhaktapur

      Sightseeing In Patan And Bhaktapur

      Today, our guide will welcome you and drive you to Patan for sightseeing. In Patan, you will see other heritage sites such as Krishna Temple and Patan Durbar Square. Later, we will visit the Patan Museum, where you can learn more about Patanโ€™s history and kings. We also visit the Golden Temple and the Banglamukhi Temple, which are popular among Hindus and Buddhists alike.

      Following that, we will visit Bhaktapur, where you will be amazed by the architecture. Observe the old, wood-carved buildings all over Bhaktapur. Explore the surroundings, including the Nyatapola Temple, Nepalโ€™s largest temple. You can also take a pottery-making class using traditional methods. You will visit Pottery Square. You will be taught how to design and decorate your pot with beautiful patterns and inscriptions.

  • Day 4 Kathmandu To Chitwan (5-6-Hour Drive)

      Next stop: Chitwan! Itโ€™s about 150โ€“160 kilometers southwest of Kathmandu. Along the way, youโ€™ll pass by charming small shops and a mini-market. As you approach Chitwan, youโ€™ll notice the forest becoming denser. Once you arrive, check into your hotel and take some time to relax. Later, take a leisurely stroll through the local market and streets of Chitwan. In the evening, youโ€™re in for a treat with the Tharu cultural program show. Enjoy the lively performance before returning to your hotel for a restful night.

  • Day 5 Activities In Chitwan

      Activities In Chitwan

      Today, you will have a whole-day sightseeing tour. Firstly, you will have a jungle safari by Jeep. You will enter the community forest section to view the one-horned rhino and some other wild animals like wild boar, deer, leopard, and many more. After that, you will cross the Rapti River to get into the skirt of the main national park area, and if itโ€™s your lucky day, then you will get to see the Royal Bengal Tiger in the highland area where the bushes are as high as 5โ€“6 feet. 


      Along with that, you will be able to see the wild elephants and other wild animals as well, and after completing your jungle safari tour, get back to the hotel and have your lunch. Later, you can take a guided tour of Tharu village before canoeing on the Rapti River, where you can see Marsh Mugger and Gharial crocodiles resting on the riverbank in Chitwan. After completing your sightseeing tour, get back to the hotel and have a rest.

  • Day 6 Birdwatching In Chitwan, Drive To Lumbini And Sightseeing (4-5 Hours)

      Get up early in the morning, and our tour guide will take you around the Rapti Riverbank for bird watching. Chitwan is one of the best places for bird watching in the world, as many students and researchers visit Chitwan to study the birds around here. Our tour guide will explain the various bird species and how they migrate from around the world to Chitwan, Nepal, during the winter season. Later on, visit the Elephant and Crocodile Breeding Center, where you can observe the life cycle of these animals and how the National Park is saving them. Then head back toward Lumbini, which is 150 kilometers away from Chitwan. Upon arrival, check in  at the hotel and have a rest. In the late afternoon, visit Maya Devi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, and Lumbini Museum.

  • Day 7 Lumbini To Pokhara (7-8-Hour Drive)

      You will head toward Pokhara, which is 210 kilometers away in the northwest direction from Lumbini. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check in at the hotel and have a rest. Later in the afternoon, you can go strolling around the lakeside street of Pokhara and to the bank of Phewa Lake.

  • Day 8 Sightseeing In Pokhara

      Sightseeing In Pokhara

      You will travel to Pokhara, which is located 210 kilometers northwest of Lumbini. When you arrive in Pokhara, check into your hotel and rest. Later in the afternoon, take a stroll along Pokharaโ€™s lakeside street to the bank of Phewa Lake.

      To capture the peaceful and stunning view of the city before daybreak, as well as to see the first sunbeams strike the mountains in the distance, you will leave early for Sarangkot. Sarangkot offers expansive views of the Himalayas, including Annapurna, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, and others.


      Youโ€™ll be visiting the World Peace Stupa, which is on top of a hill about an hourโ€™s drive from Pokhara. From here, you can see the Annapurna, Nilgiri, Glacier Dome, Fishtail Mountain, and Dhaulagiri ranges. After taking in the scenery, youโ€™ll hike for 40 to 60 minutes to the bank of Phewa Lake and take a boat tour to the Barahi Temple, which is located in the middle of the lake. After seeing the temple, youโ€™ll visit Deviโ€™s Fall, Gupteswor Cave, and Seti Gorge before returning to the hotel to relax.

      On this day, you will have a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, starting from Pokhara after breakfast. On the way, youโ€™ll visit Bandipur, an old Newari town. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your respective hotel and have a rest. In the evening, you can stroll around the downtown area of Thamel.

This marks the end of the Nepal Highlights Tour.
