We then return to our hotel for breakfast. After breakfast we get ready for a thrilling paragliding adventure and soar over the mountains before landing next to Phewa Tal. We will then head back to our hotel and in the afternoon head to: Bindabasini Temple and Deviโ€™s Falls. The temple is located in the middle of the old bazaar is dedicated to the goddess Bhagwati - a manifestation of Shakti. The park surrounding it is a great place to sit, relax and enjoy a picnic lunch. Devis Fall, locally known as Pattale Chhango is in the south of the Pokhara Valley and is where the water flows from the lake and plunges through a rocky gorge. It is very popular place for tourists who visit Pokhara. The next attraction is a visit to Gupteshwor Cave, just 2 kilometers from the airport. The cave is 3 km long and is home to a Hindu phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. Next we head to Seti River Gorges that has been carved out by the raging waters of the Seti Gandaki River. Our next place is the Tibetan refugee camps at Tashiling in the south and the Tashi Palkhel Village in the north of Pokhara where they have a reputation for making quality woolen carpets and other handicrafts. Tibetan settlers first came here in the 50โ€™s. The World Peace Pagoda, also known as Pokhara Shanti Stupa, is a Buddhist pagoda-style monument 2,100 meters high above Phewa Tal on the Ananda Hill. Nepal has two of the eighty peace pagodas in the world, the Shanti Stupa in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, and the Shanti Stupa in Pokhara. From Shanti Stupa we have some great views of the Annapurna Ranges, Phewa Tal and Pokhara. The International Mountain Museum provides some interesting information on the source of water for Nepal and India, flora and fauna in the Himalayan mountains and its amazing eco-system.
