Day 1 Local Flight To Galapagos

Local Flight To Galapagos

Early depart to Quito’s International Airport for your local flight to the Galapagos Islands , this flight takes 3 hours ( with an stop in Guayaquil ). Upon your arrival at Baltra Airport, clear customs and ready to meet your Naturalist Guide from Galapagos, who will conduct to trough the other part of the trip towards Puerto Ayora town at Santa Cruz Island. On the way down, we will visit the Twins or Gemelos Craters, and then we will stop at the Giant Tortoises Ranch to admire them on wild. Finally arrival to the hotel in town for overnight. Day 2 Bartolomé Island

Bartolomé Island

This tour will start early from town , then a bus ride towards Itabaca Canal where you will board the yatch for this excursion. This program includes sightseeing , hike , snorkel , snorkel equiptment , lunch on board and much more. Finally you will be taken back to Puerto Ayora for your last night at the Galapagos Bartolome: The little island Bartolome is very small and 114m high situated close to Santiago Island. When the volcano that formed Bartolomé erupted, there was not any water present resulting in large amounts of basalt on this island (when water is present in an eruption tuff is created). The basalt hardened together with air creating very light rocks. Bartolome’s surface is covered with volcanic ash, which is supposed to be blown over from Santa Cruz Island. The island consists of an extinct volcano and volcanic formations in a variety of red, orange, green, and glistening black. Pinnacle Rock is the eroded remains of a tuff cone. This large partially eroded lava formation was created when magma expelled from the volcano reached the sea. When the seawaters cooled, the hot lava caused an explosion. The exploded particles eventually fasten together forming a rock composed of thin layers. Bartolome’s Pinnacle Rock has become one of the most photographed sights in the islands. On the northern one (wet landing) you are allowed to swim and snorkel. Don’t miss that! Day 3 South Plazas Island

During your visit at the Galapagos Islands, a day trip to South Plazas Island is a must-do experience. The uninhabited island is home to the endemic Galápagos iguana and an important colony of sea lions. Hike and snorkel with a guide and a small group limited to avoid less impact is possible , and learn about the flora and fauna. Round-trip transportation is included from Santa Cruz Island by motor yacht through the Itabaca Canal. South Plazas Island was created by lava flowing from the bottom of the ocean as part of the hotspot. Despite its small size, it is home to a large number of species and is famous for its extraordinary flora. That is why this island is very popular as a day trip tour from Santa Cruz. Day 4 North Seymour Island

A stronghold of wildlife in the Galapagos Islands, a trip back in time. This is the excursion to Seymour Island, one of tours you can do from Santa Cruz Island as a day Trip . Seymour Island is located in center of the Archipielago . It is only 1.9 square kilometers, but it houses a huge universe of birds and it is one of the last refuges for the yellow iguanas , one of the most endemic species of the Galapagos Islands. All year round on Seymour Island there are courtship, mating and nesting or rearing. As we like to say , there is always something to see. Yellow iguanas, sea lions, blue-footed boobies hatching their eggs, pelicans, king frigates and many other birds are concentrated on North Seymour Island. It is one of the most impressive Islands in Galapagos , that you could visit in our 8 hour tour departing from Santa Cruz Island everyday , all included. Day 5 Santa Fé Island

Santa Fé Island

On this Tour to Santa Fe Island in Galapagos you will visit an small island located southeast of Santa Cruz. We sail to a beautiful, turquoise bay surrounded by cactus and mangroves. From our boat we see a white-sand beach full of sea lions. Cliffs covered by a small forest of giant cactus unique Santa Fe. Seabirds such as pelicans, lava gulls and blue-footed boobies fly over us. In our yacht, we will approach the beach and carefully observe tintoreras (white-tipped sharks) resting near the shore. In the mangroves, it is common to observe Galapagos hawks. The island’s docile wildlife surprisingly does not fear humans, thus providing a great opportunity to interact with them and take unforgettable photos. The snorkeling is spectacular in Santa Fe! Playful sea lions invite us to swim. We also observe sea turtles, manta rays, a variety of colorful fish and occasionally sharks. Also you will see the Endemic land Iguana from Santa Fe…. finally navigation back to Puerto Ayora. Free morning , 11:00 am check out and transportation to Baltra's Airport to take a flight to Quito late in the afternoon , then transportation to the Hotel in Quito. Unfortunately we have to say goodbye after we arrive in Quito and we invite you to see one of our other tours in Ecuador Mainland and Peru Tours.. However if you desire to add one more night in Quito City or extend your staying in Ecuador , we can always help you out with free advice to make sure you optimize the time and continue exploring this paradise called Ecuador.
