      Welcome to Quito. At 9,350 feet (2,850 m) above sea level, Ecuadorโ€™s capital is one of the highest cities in the world. Built on the ashes of the northern Inca capital following the 1533 Spanish conquest, Quito is surrounded by majestic Andean peaks, including the restless Volcรกn Pichincha.


      You are arriving at a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will be able to walk through its picturesque plazas, markets, and stores with locally-made hats and other products and by night, experience a rich nightlife and culinary scene.

  • Day 2 Quilotoa Lagoon

      Today you will visit the picturesque volcano lagoon Quilotoa. You have the option to walk along the craterโ€™s rim to enjoy the splendid view or hike down a path to the crater lake. The return can become a bit longer, so you have the option to rent a mule for the uphill hike.

  • Day 3 Baรฑos Through The Volcanoes Avenue

      Baรฑos Through The Volcanoes Avenue

      The guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Baรฑos City. Located in a valley of waterfalls and hot springs, the city of Baรฑos has much to offer its visitors. Your private guide/driver will make some stops on the way for you to take some pictures of the volcanoโ€™s avenue. 


      This small town is known for two things: naturally heated thermal baths โ€“ the namesake of Baรฑos, Ecuador โ€“ and adventure sports! Nearby Baรฑos, youโ€™ll find mountains, rivers, waterfalls, and hot springs to explore.


      Check-in at your hotel and have a rest before our visit to the swing of the end of the world, where you and your family will enjoy the magnificence of the Llanganates and Sangay National Park mountains. For the end of the day, lets enjoy a bath at the hot springs.

      In the morning, you will drive along the "Avenue of Waterfalls." Driving south from Baรฑos, you will follow the Pastaza River on its way through the valley of the same name. Passing a number of waterfalls, you will reach the village of Rio Verde, where you will stop to visit the well-known El Pailon del Diablo (The Devilโ€™s Cauldron) waterfall.  Afterward, we will drive north towards Otavalo for our overnight stay.

      In the morning you will visit the market of Otavalo. Otavalo features one of the most important traditional markets in South America. Here, the indigenous people of the surrounding areas gather to trade anything from animals over handicrafts to fresh vegetables and fruits. Take a stroll through the streets and maybe try some of the local street food such as salted mango or fritada con mote, and fried pork with cooked corn. In the afternoon you will hike around the crater lagoon of Cuicocha. On the trail, your guide will explain to you the high-altitude flora and fauna and the history of the once-active volcano. Alternatively, you can ride in a boat around the two islands.

  • Day 6 City Tour Quito

      City Tour Quito

      After breakfast, your English-speaking guide will pick you up for a walking city tour. The colonial center of Quito was already named world cultural heritage by UNESCO in 1978. Visit the Plaza Grande and the beautiful churches La Compaรฑรญa and La Basรญlica, and walk down the oldest street of Quito, La Ronda. Afterward, you will visit the equatorial monument Mitad del Mundo, where French scientists determined the position of the equatorial line many years ago.

  • Day 7 Teleferico - Capilla Del Hombre (Contemporary Art Museum)

      Teleferico - Capilla Del Hombre (Contemporary Art Museum)

      In the morning, your guide will take you to hop on the cable car "Teleferico" which brings you up to 4.000 m on the Pichincha volcano, from where you can enjoy a spectacular view over the city and the surrounding mountains. If you want to, you can have a short walk, or just take some pictures from different viewpoints. 


      After that, we will visit La Capilla del Hombre which is an art museum built by the Ecuadorian painter Oswaldo Guayasamin as a tribute to the human being.


      The project was conceived in the 80โ€™s by the artist Oswaldo Guayasamin and the study of the architect Luis Felipe Suarez Williamson, who made the design at the request of the master Guayasamin. This building, emblematic for its architecture and for the pictorial and mural work it contains,


      It was declared by UNESCO as a "Priority Project for Culture", and by the National Government as "Cultural Heritage of the Ecuador"

      Arrival At The Rainforest

      In the morning, you will arrive at "El Puente," the main entrance to the Cuyabeno Reserve and the last point of real civilization. Here you will have a box lunch and then drive on the Cuyabeno River in a motorized canoe for three hours until you reach the lodge. 


      With a bit of luck, youโ€™ll have already spotted some of the 10 different species of monkeys and tropical birds here. This part of the river is narrow enough to observe wildlife closely. After you arrive at the lodge, youโ€™ll have more time to rest and then take an introductory tour around the area. After dinner, your bilingual tour guide will supply you with information about the coming daysโ€™ activities.

  • Day 9 Adventure In The Amazon

      Adventure In The Amazon

      After an early breakfast, you will start your exploration, taking advantage of the early hours of the day, the best time to observe the flourishing activities of the tropical forest. Below is a typical day, but you can take many excursions via canoe rather than on foot.

      Your tour guide will share his knowledge with you during a walk in the rainforest, and youโ€™ll learn and understand how life in the jungle coexists in a fragile balance. Your guide will also explain the use of medicinal plants, a knowledge that has been passed on from generation to generation and is still applied by the local population today. Look for amphibians, butterflies, centipedes and millipedes, snakes, birds, monkeys, and other mammals along the trail.

      Later you will return to the lodge for your lunch. In the afternoon, youโ€™ll make an excursion that will take you along the Cuyabeno River to discover the animals that live in the dense forest on the banks of the river, especially monkeys, toucans, and sloths. Thereโ€™ll be the opportunity to spot river dolphins (Inia geoffrensis and Sotalia fluviatilis) in the magnificent fluvial landscape.

      Before having your dinner, youโ€™ll head into the dark forest to find its nightlife, such as insects, spiders, snakes, or colorful frogs, accompanied by the nocturnal sounds of the jungle.

  • Day 10 Indigenous Community, Laguna Grande, & Igapรณ

      Indigenous Community, Laguna Grande, & Igapรณ

      Enjoy an early morning walk through the forest to see the wildlife, especially monkeys and birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast, then continue by motorized canoe along the "Turtle Path" to visit the Seoqueya community, where several families of the indigenous Siona group live. One of the family members will demonstrate traditional cooking techniques, including preparing the typical yuca bread called cassava. Youโ€™ll then try your hand at making bread under instruction from the family as your guide explains local traditions and cultures. 


      In the afternoon, continue by motorized canoe along the Cuyabeno River to Laguna Grande. Here, youโ€™ll explore a unique rainforest ecosystem: a flooded forest (igapรณ) characterized by massive trees and lush greenery. After exploring the lagoon, cool off with a swim in the calm waters and take in the sunset. Continue your adventure downriver to see more nocturnal wildlife, especially caimans, before returning to the lodge.

      This morning you have the opportunity to make an additional excursion, either by canoe or hiking. The choice depends on the weather conditions and the interests of the group. After breakfast, explore a pristine stretch of the jungle with your guide. He will tell you more about the medicinal use of the flora as it has been used by native cultures for generations. At lunchtime, you will return to the lodge for a rest. In the afternoon, you will be able to explore the Cuyabeno River by canoe and enjoy the views of the exceptional scenery and listen to the sounds of the jungle as you watch out for the exotic local exotic species.

      Return To Civilization

      This morning activity will be a short canoe trip to enjoy the sunrise in the jungle, where you will have a good opportunity to observe some different types of wild animals and enjoy another moment of peace in this wonderful natural paradise. After breakfast, you will have time to prepare your luggage for your return trip. You will navigate upriver to return to El Puente de Cuyabeno. After your box lunch, your bus will take you back to Lago Agrio, and from there you return to Quito, where your Amazon tour ends.

      Welcome to the beautiful city of Lima, the capital of Peru, it was founded on 18th January 1535, by Spanish Conquistador Francisco Pizarro.


      At Arrival you will be welcomed and transferred in private transportation to your hotel; the transfer time is 1.5 hours depending on traffic. The rest of your time left will be at leisure to enjoy the beauty of this colonial city.

      After breakfast, you will start this tour with a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca temple from the 4th century AD.


      You will visit the Parque del Amor in the district of Miraflores with the view of the Pacific Ocean and Plaza San Martรญn, where you will have time to take pictures.


      The next stop will be the Plaza Mayor, here you will see:

      Municipal Palace

      San Francisco Monastery and its Catacombs.

      Bodega & Quadra Museum, where you will observe the Lima Wall built in the XVII century and with an exhibition of objects showing the society and development during the society and development during the viceroyalty.

      Visit the Santo Domingo Convent, proof of the importance of Catholicism during the viceroyalty and if conditions allow it, climb the tower for observation.

      You have arrived at the ancient city of Cusco is situated in the Andes Mountains of Peru at 3,400 meters (11,000 feet) above sea level. You will be surrounded by beautiful hills that extend into a river basin known as the Sacred Valley of the Inca. 


      The word Cusco derives from Quechua โ€œQosqoโ€, meaning โ€™navelโ€™ in the ancient Incan language and hinting at the former significance of the city as the center point of the Inca Empire, it is one of the oldest cities on the South American continent, where people have continuously lived.


      Upon your arrival at Cusco Airport, (CUZ) transportation will be waiting for you and take you to the hotel.

      Early in the morning, we will begin our journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit the popular Pisaq Market, renowned for its quality handicrafts. Lunch in Urubamba, we will enjoy a walk through the fortress of Ollantaytambo. Then we will transfer to our hotel in Sacred Valley.

  • Day 18 Machu Picchu Excursion

      Machu Picchu Excursion

      After breakfast, take the local train to Aguas Calientes, the base for most Machu Picchu adventures. The ride takes you through a valley and into the Urubamba River canyon, then into the cloud forest as you near the Machu Picchu sanctuary. 

      Aguas Calientes contains the train station, a craft market, restaurants, and a variety of hotels for those who prefer to spend the night at the foot of the mountain and climb it early in the day. Stop here for lunch before taking the 25-minute bus ride up to the Machu Picchu ruins. 

      This 15th-century Inca citadel is located at 7,970 ft (2,430 m) and is a masterpiece of engineering that served as a sanctuary and retreat for the Incan Emperor Pachacutec and his royal court. Machu Picchu, which means "Old Mountain," is considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. 

      Built as a seasonal residence for the Inca family, Machu Picchu was rarely home to more than 800 people, and during the royalsโ€™ absence, a mere 100 servants would remain at the site to maintain the grounds. Machu Picchu was abandoned 100 years after construction and remained largely hidden to the outside world until the early 20th century. 

      Your guide will lead you around the site and explain the different buildings and curious corners of the building complex. Approximately one-third of the site has been reconstructed into its original structure, giving visitors a sense for the grandeur and artistry of the original citadel.

      After the two-hour tour, take the bus back to Aguas Calientes to connect to your train to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco.

      After a delicious breakfast, you will be picked up in your hotel for a city tour. You will visit the Cathedral, Koricancha (Temple of the Sun) and the nearby ruins: Qenko (Ceremonial and Ritual center, place where sacrifices were made), Puka Pukara (this complex was probably used by Emperor Pachacutec as a Tambo), Tambomachay (also called โ€œThe Bath of the Incaโ€) and Sacsayhuaman Fortress (the place where the main Inca Festivals, Inti Raymi and Warachicuy take place). After your city and nearby ruins tour, you return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

      Today will begin with an early pick-up from your hotel in Cusco for the 3.5-hour drive to the start of the trek.

      When we reach the trailhead, weโ€™ll enjoy some breakfast before starting the hike. After breakfast, we will begin the hike from Chillca, at 3,700 m/12,139 ft elevation. From here, it will be a 4-hour, uphill hike to reach the famous Rainbow Mountain.

      Along the way, you will enjoy amazing views of the Andes, glacial peaks, red mountains, rocky hills, along with llamas and alpacas grazing along the valley. Once you arrive at the top of Rainbow Mountain, you will have enough time to absorb the majesty of the red mountains that surround this area. You will also see amazing views of the valleys and Ausangate Glacier Peak in front of you. Ausangate is the tallest mountain of the Cusco region (just under 21,000 ft elevation) and is part of the Cordillera Vilcanota Range.

      After taking in the view, weโ€™ll descend back to our car and driver for the drive back to our hotel in Cusco.
