Day 1: Pune - Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary (200kms/ 4hrs approx)

Stop At: Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary, Koyananagar, Maharashtra 416212, India
Pick up from your hotel in Pune or Pune airport and drive to Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary check in at resort/ camp.

Later visit Koyna Dam on the Koyna river. It is one of the most significant dams in India and supplies water to majority parts of Maharashtra. Shivsagar Lake is the reservoir of this dam. It also acts as the main dam for the Koyna Hydroelectric Project. Boating on Shivsagar Lake one among the vast lakes of Maharashtra, has beautiful flora surrounding it, fresh greenery everywhere and calmness around it. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary - Kolhapur (135kms/ 3hrs approx)

Stop At: Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary, Koyananagar, Maharashtra 416212, India
Early breakfast at resort/ camp followed by Jeep Safari. Explore Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary nestled in the beautiful Western Ghats sprawls over an area of about 426.52 sq km. It forms the catchments area for the Koyna River, and the Shivasagar reservoir formed by the Koyna Dam. It is surrounded by natural protective boundaries - Shivasagar Lake on one side, and the slopes of the Western Ghats on both the sides. These geographic barriers have enabled the emergence of a wide variety of flora and fauna and high biodiversity in the sanctuary. Its a known habitat of tigers, leopards, sloth bear, wild dogs, Indian gaur, wild boar, sambar deer, barking deer, mouse deer, and giant squirrels. Due to the wide range of elevations in the sanctuary, the ecoregions in the sanctuary include North Western Ghats montane rain forests above 1,000 m(3,300 ft) and North Western Ghats moist deciduous forests below.

Day 3: Kolhapur - Belgaum - Goa (225kms/ 5hrs approx)

Stop At: Belgaum Fort, Belgaum 590001 India
Later drive to Goa via visiting Belgaum. Visit Belgaum Fort- believed to have been built by the rulers of Ratt Dynasty in 1204 AD. With shrines of Goddess Durga and Ganapati at the entrance, the architecture fort features a fusion of Chalukyan, Deccan and Indo-Saracenic art forms and the incredible lotus design at the Mukhamantaapa leaves everyone awestruck. There are numerous Hindu and Jain temples and mosques, located inside the fort area. Fort served as an impenetrable barricade against the violent attacks of the enemies. It has undergone many renovations and additions throughout its existence because it played host to a legion of dynasties. The Belgaum Fort shot to fame when Mahatma Gandhi was captured here during the Freedom Movement of India. The fort was constructed after demolishing 108 Jain temples and 101 Shiva temples. Some of the stones and pillars can be seen as a part of the religious shrines over here, like the Jamia Masjid.

Stop At: Kapileshwar Temple, Kaplieshwar Rd, Shastri Nagar, Shahapur, Belgaum, Karnataka 590001, India
Kapileshwar Temple - a holy shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva considered as the southern Kashi. The temple is located beside the Shahpur Flyover which connects the central city of Belgaum to Shahpur. It is believed that the visit and darshan of the 12 Jyotirlinga scattered all over India will remain incomplete unless started from Kapileshwar Temple. There is a rare cluster of Banyan, Peepal and Ficus trees in the Compound of the Temple. The temple is open for devotees from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM every day. St. Maryโ€™s Church one of the peaceful places to visit in Belgaum The church was built during the time of Britishers thus gives a reminiscence of the past of this city.

The Church of St. Francis of Assisi of Goa was built during 1517-1521 AD. Church of St Augustine Ruins 46 meter high tower, the church was built in 1602 with the combined efforts of 12 Augustinians. They also built a convent besides the church. Church of Marry Immaculate Conception one of the most famous landmarks of Goa. This church is supposed to be one of the earliest churches to be constructed in Goa

The Aguada Fort built by the Portuguese commands the mouth of the Mondovi River and on the fort stands a 4-storey Portuguese lighthouse and the oldest of its kind in Asia. Shree Manguesh Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located on a hillock surrounded by lush green hills. Though small, it has an air of distinctive elegance. Its lofty white tower at the entrance is a countryside landmark. Shree Mahalsa A short distance away from the Shri Mangueshi temple, the deity worshiped here is an attribute to Vishnu.
