      Arrive Paro by Druk Air/Bhutan airlines. (Kathmandu/Bangkok/Singapore/Delhi) The flight offers you a beautiful view of mountains and landscapes. On arrival and after visa formalities you will be received by HATT members and transfer to Hotel. If time permits s/seeing. Evening stroll around the market. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

      After breakfast drives north of Paro valley to Ramthangka and then take an excursion to Taktsang Monastery, the most famous of Bhutanese monasteries. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of Tigress and meditated at this Monastery, hence it is called "Tigerโ€™s Nest". The Excursion to Monasteryโ€™s viewpoint takes about 5 hours for a round trip. While a return to Paro town visits en route Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom. Overnight at the same hotel in Paro.

      The morning after breakfast we drive 45 minutes to the starting point of the trek. The first day of walking goes along the off-road for 3 hours till you arrive at a signboard of Genekha School. All through the trail ascend through terraced fields and coniferous vegetation is abundant. Camp at Genekha at 2800 meters. Walking time 4/5 hours. Overnight at the tented camp.

      The communion with nature starts with alpine flora and fauna (birds are common). The two hours of uphill walk and rest at a huge rock platform offering a picturesque view of the valley below. The camp is located in the heart of the woods ideal for an afternoon stroll. Flowers are abundant in spring. Camp at 3350 meters. Walking time 4/5 hours. Overnight at the tented camp.

      Walking across the bridge offers a beautiful view of the rugged mountain vegetation. During spring the meadows are filled with flowers. From the pass, one can see the spectacular view of the Dagala range. Camp at 4300 meters near a lake filled with golden trouts. Walking time 6/7 hours. Overnight at the tented camp.

      This is an ideal day for an excursion to the three lakes namely Relitso, Hentso, and Jamatso. Trout fishing can add delicacy to your meal in this wild countryside (please bring your own fishing equipment). If you are still fit to do trekking you can attempt climbing the Jomo peak which is 5050 meters. The view from the top will be memorable for a lifetime. Overnight at the tented camp.

      After 30 minutes uphill and a majestic view of the Himalayas during the descent. Your guide will identify the peaks for you. Passing through meadows, shrubs, and lakes you will camp at 4000 meters. Walking time 4/5 hours. Overnight at the tented camp.

      This day entails the crossing of several passes each one more impressive than the other. Look out for different varieties of Blue poppy (national flower) during the month of June & July. An hourโ€™s climb after lunch brings you to the end of the Dagala range and you can enjoy the view of Thimphu valley below. An hourโ€™s walk downhill brings you to your camp at 3050 meters.


      Walking time 6/7 hours. Evening visit to Tashichhodzong, the beautiful medieval fortress/ monastery which houses most of the Governmentโ€™s office and Kingโ€™s throne room. Overnight at a hotel in Thimphu.

      Commence sightseeing in Thimphu includes. Institute of Zorig Chusum where students undertake a course on the 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan; National Library, which holds an extensive collection of Buddhist texts and manuscripts, some dating back to several hundred years back, as well as modern academic books, mainly on Himalayan culture and religion; The Post office; National Memorial Chorten, built in the memory of the late 3rd King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, Kuensel Phodrang/ The Giant Buddha- a huge statue more than 50 meters high, situated on top of a hill overlooking the city. Evening 1-hour drive to Paro. Overnight at a hotel in Paro.
