Considered one of the most exotic beaches of Costa Rica, Playa Conchal is located in the north of the province of Guanacaste on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. With one of the clearest waters it gives free reign to snorkeling and swimming for those who know how to do it. With a fantastic collection of marine life exhibited, you can swim with many tropical fish that dwell here or you can glimpse the rays that swim in this area. For the more adventurous, it offers other sports such as fishing in the open sea, SCUBA, and other water sports. If you get bored of the beach, Playa Conchal is also close to national parks and nature reserves. Nearby, there is a small estuary that can be visited. Playa Conchal is surrounded by cattle ranches and has some areas where you can camp and sleep under the stars.

Playa Flamingo...while you won’t find any flamingos roaming around, you will find sparkling white sand and stunning blue waters filled with marine life. For those who seek a break from the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo and Coco, this beauty is one of Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast gems, offering a relaxing vibe and tranquil atmosphere. Like other beaches, the surf can vary but it is mostly calm, offering visitors a chance to swim without worry, or snorklers an opportunity to see an abundance of aquatic life from Spotted Eagle Rays to turtles and more! We recommend staying for Flamingo’s famous sunsets and grabbing a local brew from BOA Brewing, both of which are sure to not disappoint. Playas del Coco is one of the oldest and fastest growing cities in Costa Rica. Less than an hour’s drive from Liberia Airport, Coco’s close proximity offers tourists an abundance of beach and outdoor activities, access to numerous bars and restaurants, and even the emerging craft brewery of Angry Goats.
