Day 1: Mexico City - Puebla - Oaxaca

Stop At: Church of Santa Maria Tonanzintla, Avenue Reforma Norte, Santa Maria Tonantzintla Mexico
Before reaching Puebla, visit Santa Maria Tonantzintla; admire its interior decoration and the richness of elements.

Arrival in Puebla and tour of the Chapel of the Rosario, the Cathedral, the Plaza Mayor and the historical city center before leaving for Oaxaca
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

After lunch, arrival and overnight stay in Oaxaca.

Day 2: Oaxaca - Monte Albán - Mitla - Tule

Stop At: Monte Alban, Oaxaca Mexico
Following breakfast we will depart to the archeological site of Monte Alban, built on a mountaintop. Stroll through the first urban complex in Mesoamerica and visit its main buildings: the Grand Plaza, the Ball Court, The Palace and The Dancers, among others. Transfer to Mitla, also known as the Place of the Dead, for you to admire its beautiful decoration of symbolic frets.

Continue to visit the Tule Tree, believed to be the tree with the bulkiest trunk in the world.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Oaxaca, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico
Return to Oaxaca and tour the main streets of this beautiful colonial city. Visit its Cathedral, the impressive Santo Domingo temple and the Gold Museum.

Day 3: Oaxaca - Sumidero Canyon - San Cristóbal de las Casas

Stop At: Canon del Sumidero, Chiapa de Corzo Mexico
Early morning departure to Tuxla Gutierrez, capital of the state of Chiapas. Arrival and transfer to join a boat tour along the Grijalva River and through the impressive Sumidero Canyon. Admire the landscape offered by the impressive orography and the abundant flora of the mountains

Stop At: San Cristobal de las Casas, San Cristobal de las Casas, Southern Mexico
Transfer to San Cristobal de Las Casas for a two night stay.
Duration: 8 hours

Day 4: San Cristóbal de las Casas - Indigenous Communities

Stop At: San Cristobal de las Casas, San Cristobal de las Casas, Southern Mexico
Breakfast at hotel. Departure and transportation to an area known as “Los altos de Chiapas” to visit the indigenous communities named San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan, indigenous towns which keep their traditional way of life, their religious faith and their social organizations. Their churches, huts and clothing are most original and colourful. Afterwards, return to San Cristobal de las Casas. Free afternoon. We suggest a walking through the streets of this beautiful city and visit the market, Santo Domingo, the Cathedral and the museum of Jade which keep a copy of King Pakal’s tomb. Lodging.

Community of San Juan Chamula

San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán are a typical indigenous population that preserve their traditions, religious beliefs and social organization. Their churches, houses and clothing are very picturesque.

Day 5: San Cristóbal de las Casas - Agua Azul - Palenque

Stop At: Cascadas de Agua Azul, Reserva Especial de la Biosfera Cascadas Agua Azul, Palenque 29920 Mexico
Departure to Agua Azul Waterfalls (Blue Water Waterfalls). Formed by the tributaries of the rivers Shumuljá, Otulún and Tulijá, these waterfalls of crystalline waters and beautiful turquoise tones, are refuge of abundant vegetation and wild fauna. Its shallow canyons with cliffs, become natural pools where it is possible to refresh. Time permitting, the Misol-Ha waterfalls will also be visited. Transfer to Palenque.

Day 6: Palenque - Villahermosa

Stop At: Zona Arqueologica de Palenque, Carretera a Palenque- Zona Archaeologica Km. 8, Palenque 29960 Mexico
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the archaeological area of Palenque, located at the jungle. One if the most important ones of the Mayan World. Both, due to the historical discoveries as for its beauty. Within the Pyramid of inscriptions there was found a Tomb of the Pakal King with an engraved inscription in it. Cross temple, Sun’s temple and the Palace. Afterwards transfer to the airport of the city of Villahermosa to take the flight to their city of origin. It is suggested to confirm flight after the 17:00 hrs. End of our services.
