Welcome to India!Upon arrival at Delhi international airport T3, SafeHands Travels representative will assist you at arrival lounge and accompany you to hotel.The standard hotel check-in time is 12.00 afternoon. Your first day will be free and there is no activity scheduled. However, in case the arrival is during day time, you will get enough time to explore yourself around the hotel.   • Day 2 New Delhi Sightseeing

      Delhi is a fascinating metropolis, combining the palpable illusion of tradition and modernity. With more than 10 millions vehicles on the road, traffic in Delhi moves a bit slow, therefore, you will start your sightseeing by 7.30 am for Old Delhi. You will begin the day with majestic monuments Red Fort (Lal Quila), built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1638 and Jama Masjid located across the road.  You will walk through the streets to see marvelous architectural vision and appreciate the work of some 5000 unknown artisans behind these great monuments. Further, you  will enjoy the rickshaw ride through various markets of Chandni Chowk and Sis Ganj Sahib Gurdwara (Sikh religion temple).   By afternoons you will reach Lutyens Delhi and drive pass to India Gate which was built in the year 1931 to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in the World War I & the Afghan Wars, and President House, the official residence of President of India, formally known as the viceroys house during British rule.   After having some tasty Indian foods, you will proceed to five storey victory tower Qutab Minar built in 1193 by the founder of slave dynasty Qutab-ud-din-Aibak.  Next would be The Lotus temple or Bahai temple, which is open to all regardless of any religion/caste/race. Be prepared to walk 500 meter or more to admire the huge complex of this epitome of peace and prosperity. Finally, you will conclude Delhi sightseeing with Akshardham temple (closed on Monday) a Hindu temple complex displaying millennia of traditional Hinduism, Indian culture, spirituality, and architecture.Overnight stay - Hotel

      Today morning post breakfast, you will head to airport to board the flight for Varanasi or Benaras or Kashi, the various names of one of the most ancient living cities of the world. Known for narrow lanes, chanting monks, illuminated ghats and aimless crowd searching for their own rendezvous with meaning of life, Varanasi is definitely a completely different experience to be enthralled with. It is an important cultural and learning centre of north India which is closely associated with river Ganges, the place of one of the finest silk weavers, the land of several finest musicians gifted to the world, Maha-Samshna or The great cremation grounds the holy city humbles you by bringing you face to face with the balance of life and death and the land of Buddha where it is believed that Buddha has founded Buddhism around 528 BC and gave his first sermon here. In Varanasi you do not just visit the monuments but you experience the place, meet the people, and interact with the culture & tradition, so nothing can be a better place than Varanasi to learn the lessons of life.   Upon arrival in Varanasi you will be received by a local tour guide who will be with you for the next two days. From airport, you will proceed to visit Sarnath and Archeological Museum which houses the famous Ashoka Pillar miraculously survived and became the National Emblem of India and National symbol of Indian Flag. It was here in Sarnath were Lord Buddha had preached his first sermon after experiencing enlightenment. It was here that he taught the keys aspects of Buddhism the four noble truths, the eightfold path and the middle way philosophy. The Buddha encouraged followers to avoid extremes of austerity or pleasure. The remains of monasteries dating from the 5th century BC indicate a thriving monastic community. Here, you will also observe and appreciate the Stupas and Bodhi trees which were grown from a cutting of the Bodhi Tree of Bodh Gaya and various temples established from the countries like Thailand, Japan, Sri-Lanka etc. After Sarnath, you will proceed to your hotel for freshen up and rest for some time before we head for Ganga Aarti.In the evening, you will proceed for one of the most spectacular experience of Ganga Aarti (Prayer) by crossing the narrow lanes of the city. Vehicles are not allowed to enter into these areas, therefore, you can enjoy rickshaw ride to reach close to the Ghat (River bank) and then walk around 600-700 meter to reach to your boat to be the spectator of the Aarti performed by a group of priest with brass lamp and laud the chants in the presence of huge crowd. These unforgettable rituals will make every moment of yours so special and spiritual that for sometimes you will forget to yourself.You will return to your hotel post Ganga Aarti via same narrow lanes with rickshaw ride.Overnight stay - Hotel 

  • Day 4 Varanasi - Khajuraho (Flight)

      Today, you we will get up early in the morning before sunrise for a boat ride on the river Ganges. You will board the boat and sail through from the Assi Ghat till Manikarnika Ghat, the biggest cremation ground. The Benaras city cannot be as beautiful as over the dawn. The life alongside the river is exciting and different from rest of the world, where, you will see the routine life of the people taking bath, chanting mantras, performing rituals and worshiping their gods.  You will conclude your boat ride at Manikarnika Ghat and walk through the biggest cremation ground to experience the city of learning and burning. It is known as Mahashamstana, the great cremation ground of Shiva. It is here you will traverse from the land of the living to the houses of the dying and perhaps encounter with a black-clothed flesh-eating sadhu (Priest) of the Aghor Ashram who will demonstrate that how you can come out from the cycle of birth and rebirth. We will also take you to the traditional house of dome community who execute the cremation (If time permits). Post breakfast you will visit Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. This University has developed into one of the supreme centres of learning in India. You will also visit Bharat Mata Temple before departing to airport to board flight to Khajuraho (UNESCO World Heritage sites of India).Upon arrival at Khajuraho airport you will proceed to your hotel.Overnight stay - Hotel 

  • Day 5 Khajuraho- Orchha- Jhansi -Agra (Train)

      An art lying in a barren village called Khajuraho which in first instance symbolize the erotic sculptures or Kamasutra however more than 90 % of the art work connects with the daily life of ours and remaining sculptures are erotic too denotes the family life of a human being during those period. Each and every sculpture are so beautifully carved and placed in between the stones which will leave you astonished the expressiveness of ancient Indian art work in 10th and 11th century.  In 100 years in between 950-1050 around 85 temples were built by the Chandela Dynasty however most of the temples were destroyed by the Muslim rulers in 13th century and currently just 22 temples are survived. All these temples were built at the same time but dedicated to two religions Hinduism and Jainism which also shows the respect and acceptability for diverse religion for human kind. These temples are broadly divided into three parts the eastern group, the southern group and the western group which is located at a distance of 3-4 km with each other and it can be covered in 3-4 hours time. Since all temple compounds are spread in few square kilometers therefore you can expect some long walks and if we happen to be in the month of February then we can also participate in Khajuraho dance festival.By late morning you will drive to Jhansi railway station to board the train for Agra en-route visiting Orchha Fort 15th Century Orchha a picturesque lush green town located on top hill of mountain and on the bank of River Betwa is one of the important historic towns. It was built by the Maharaja Rudra Pratap Singh which is also known as hidden place. The Orchha Fort comprises various palaces mainly Jahangir Mahal, Raj Mahal and Rai Parveen Mahal. There are several temples like Chaturbhuj Temple, Laxmi Narayam temple and Ram Raja temple that signify the world class Mural painting on the walls. Chattris were constructed to glorify the contribution of past rulers.Later, you will depart to railway station which is located at 45 mins driving distance from Ocrhha to board the train for Agra. Agra was the capital city during the Mughal period and it is hosting city of three UNESCO sites namely Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri and Taj Mahal.Upon arrival in Aga, our representative will meet you and accompany you till your hotel for smooth check-in.Overnight stay - Hotel 

  • Day 6 Agra Sightseeing

      You will start your day by exploring Taj Mahal, (Closed on Friday) at Sunrise. This monument looks very beautiful when golden Sun rays creates magic on the white marble dome. The entry gate to Taj Mahal opens at Sunrise with long queue during morning hours, therefore, you will reach at least 30 mins before the sunrise to be there on-time to get the best glimpse of Taj Mahal. (Note: For two months December and January due to thick fog you might not get the sunrise. Except your passport & camera nothing is allowed inside, not even water. So dont carry anything). The parking place is around one km from the monument, from where either you can enjoy walk or Tanga ride or Battery bus. Taj Mahal complex is huge and it would take around two hours to cover it. Post breakfast at hotel, you will visit to 11th century Agra Fort, a famous walled city and one of the most grandeur forts of India. As you know it was Mughals who had laid Agra its capital therefore in the fort architecture you will see mostly the Mughal influence. Different Mughal empires ruled from this fort and have beautified it as per their choices and preferences. Approximate 75 % of the fort is closed for the tourists due to military establishment and even remaining portion is huge so be prepared for some long ascending walks. In the evening, you will again visit to Agra Fort to watch Light and Sound Show portraying the love story about Shahjahan and his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The entire event is dramatized so beautifully that people dont want to blink their eyes. Overnight stay - Hotel Atulyaa Taj or SimilarDay 07 / Friday:Agra  Fatehpur Sikri  Bharatpur  Abhaneri  Jaipur (250 km / 5 Hrs.)This day would be a long day as we have kept three en route sightseeing, so you will have early breakfast and start your  journey. Your first stop will be at Fatehpur Sikri which is around 40 km from Agra, but it takes more than one hour due to congested roads. Please beware of hawkers as they will be very pushy to sell their products or direct towards their shops, therefore, just keep following your tour guide. This fort was built by the emperor Akbar on direction of Sufi Saint Salim Chisti and served as capital for sometime, however, later the capital was shifted back to Agra due to water scarcity in Fatehpur Sikri. Your next stop will be  Bharatpur, one of the finest bird sanctuaries of India. It is famous for its wonderful Unesco-Listed Keoladeo Ghana National Park located at around 25 km from Fatehpur Sikri. You will get the option of exploring the park through bicycle ride, human pulled rickshaw or Tanga as per your interest/choice. Park local naturalist will be available to guide you on narrow roads inside the jungle and explain you about the birds. You can have your lunch at any of the midway restaurants. Dont expect high standards though it would be authentic Indian hygienic food. Further, you will move to Abhaneri, to explore some less explored places. Abhaneri is a en-route village (Approximate 8-10 km diversion) on Jaipur route, famous for its 9th century step wells (Called Chand Baori) and Harshad Mata temple. We must reach before sunset for some 20-25 mins. Further you will drive to Jaipur . Overnight stay - Hotel

      Jaipur city tour would be a full day engagement and you will start your tour from Amber Fort and experiencing the Elephant ride. Amber Fort, one of the most visited tourists attraction of Jaipur is located on top of a hill. This artistic Hindu architecture was built by the Raja Man Singh in 1592, and is famous for the Elephant Ride as well. You will have several opportunities to click some nice photos. At Amber Fort you will find large gates, cobbled pathways and ramparts, along with Mandirs and exquisite paintings. Within the fort are Diwan-e-Khas,  Diwan-e- Aam, Sheesh Mahal, SukhNiwas and Jai Mandir. Rajput Maharajas used to stay in Amber Fort, which still permeates with their nostalgic heritage. Later we drive past the iconic Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds. Built in a unique design Jharokhas (Small windows), Royal women could witness the festivities outside as they were not allowed to come in public. This five-storied Rajput architecture is very mesmerizing to look at; so be ready with your cameras to capture this quintessential beauty. Next destination is City Palace, built in 1732 by Raja Sawai Jai Singh II; which used to be the seat of powerful Maharajas of Jaipur. An impressive collection of courtyards, buildings and gardens will win your heart. Near to City Palace is the famous Jantar Mantar, an observatory containing 19 astronomical objects dating back to the time of Rajput King Sawai Jai Singh. This UNESCO world heritage site is world famous for its sundial along with other astronomical objects.  Post lunch, you would be visiting one of the local markets among the several markets like Johari Bazaar, Tripola market, Bapu Bazaar. You will end your tour by visiting Birla Mandir, which is a grand immaculate temple, also called as the Laxmi Narayan Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Built with finest quality of white marble, the temple has beautiful paintings dating to the mythological India. By the evening will return to hotel and after freshen up you will enjoy your dinner along with live performance of Rajasthnai dance show (Subject to operational)Overnight stay - Hotel
