      Day 2: Guided City Tour Of New And Old Delhi

      The morning begins with refreshing breakfast. Your guide will meet you at your hotel and ready to show you the best of Old and New Delhi. The tour will start with Old Delhi where you will visit the Jama Mosque- the largest mosque of India. In continuation we take a Rickshaw ride (Pedi cabs) through the 300 yearโ€™s old Chandni chowk bazaar to explore the historical lanes of Old Delhi and Asiaโ€™s largest spice market.

      At the end of the rickshaw ride we move on to Raj Ghat, the memorial of father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi. It is a peaceful place with beautiful gardens.

      Later we head to British Delhi (New Delhi), drive pass the official home of President of India (Rashtrapati Bhavan) and Indiaโ€™s highest legislative body the parliament building. Also visit the Iconic India gate memorial to 90,000 India soldiers who died during World War 1.

      Our last visit for the day will be Qutub Minar UNESCO world heritage site

      After leisurely breakfast we drive to the Pink City of Jaipur by road, passing through rural villages, Aravalli hills and agricultural land. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in to the hotel. Rest of the day is completely yours. If you wish to visit some places, the transport is available for you and your options are: Galta Ji is a large Hindu temple complex that lies 10 km outside of Jaipur city. Galta Ji Jaipur is a unique Hindu temple as it is centered on a natural spring that has been channeled to fill seven large pools. In these pools pilgrims come to bathe away their sins while, at quiet moments, the playful monkeys can be found swimming in the holy waters. The temple is also home to a large colony of monkeys and this has given rise to the common name of the complex, the monkey temple. OR Laxmi Narayana Temple is an example of marvellous architecture. There are idols of Hindu Gods and Goddess, Hindy symbols, ancient quotes. On walls mythological events are carved and there are idols and images of saints, philosopher and historian like Buddha, Socrates, Zarathustra and Confucius. You can witness the temple prayer at sunset. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

      Today you go out all day on an excursion, back to Amer fort, 11 kms outside of Jaipur and the former medieval capital, built by Raja Man Singh the commander of Rajput Akbar army in 1592. This landmark is a splendid representation of Rajput architecture.  Enjoy your drive up to the fort passing through some of the oldest house and temple of the old city.  After that thrilling ride youโ€™ll steady your feet and be awestruck by the marvellous sight before you, marble palaces, mosaics, paintings, mirror works, carvings, mural walls and engravings. When touring Amber Fort, donโ€™t forget to visit the 17th century Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors), a chamber decorated with an array of mirrors on the walls and ceiling. The Zenana courtyard, is a place you must see. It is a private womens residence designed with one corridor but different rooms so that the Maharaja (King) could visit the wife or concubines of his choice, at his pleasure without the others knowing.   After visiting Amer fort, return to the city en route stop for the picture at Jal Mahal (Water Palace), is a five story high palace located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. The four floor stay under the water it is only the fifth floor which is visible.  Your next visit is the glorious City Palace; when you visit you get a feel for the wealth of Jaipurโ€™s royal family, one of the richest in India. For a beautiful display of intricate craftsmanship, see the superb peacock gate, which shows off spectacular and bright peacock images at the entrance that will make you go WOW! Visit one of the best museums in India with an art gallery and exhibits of royal costumes and medieval Indian armaments. Admire an exclusive collection of regal costumes and marvellous shawls like the pashmina. In the middle of the  complex stands a pink and white marble paved gallery where the Maharaja conferred with their ministers called the Diwan-I-Khas (Hall of Private Audience). It is here that you will find what are considered to be the biggest silver object on earth; these are two mammoth silver vessels 1.6 m tall.  Afterwards you will visit Jantar Mantar, a gigantic solar observatory with a brilliant display of Indian architecture that shows the scientific expertise that existed in medieval India. It is made up of some 14 most important geometric devices which track the location of stars, measure time, predict eclipses, as well as earths orbit around the sun. It will be a surprise to you when you see that these instruments which the ancient people made of stone can carry out the same measurements of time and the suns movements as our modern day technology. Drive past Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace), which was built so that the royal ladies could view the Royal processions without anyone seeing them. If you have ever seen a giant beehive than that gives you an idea of the look of this five storey building. The Hawa Mahal is beautifully decorated with lattice work, has some 953 tiny windows (Jharokhas). Overnight stay in Jaipur.

      Today we wake up Early to board the train for Jhansi. morning transfer to railway station to board the Shatabdi train to Jhansi.

      On arrival in Jhansi meet our representative and drive towards Khajuraho. Evening free to visit Light and Sound Show at Khajuraho Temple. Overnight stay at Hotel in Khajuarho.

      We will wake up early for Boat ride at sunrise is one of the experiences not to be missed when in Varanasi. It gives a glimpse of morning life along the Ghats and stunning views sun rising from eastern horizon.  Later we will take a walk to the narrow streets to reach the heart of the city to experience the life style of people, feel the culture of the city and also visit Manikaran Ghat: The ancient Hindu cremation place.  We return to our hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon we will do most popular excursion to Sarnath located 13 kms north east of Varanasi. Another sacred place where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon in a deer park. Dhamek stupa, Founded by the king Ashoka in 249 BC,is the one of the most prominent Buddhist structure in India.  Also visit Archaeological Museum, sarnath The buildings form half of a monastery in plan. There are five galleries and two verandas. The antiquities in the museum are datable 3rd century BC to 12th century AD.  Return to Varanasi. Evening will be at your leisure. Overnight stay in Varanasi.
