Another attraction of Amber Fort is the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace).  Amber Fort was one of the most powerful forts in ancient India, and is one of very few forts that were never conquered by any ruler.  Proceed to go to City Palace. Like different Forts and Palaces of Jaipur, this palace too contains a mix of Rajasthani and Mughal design. PrinceSawai Jai SinghII initiated the development of this palace between 1729 and 1732. City Palace was the seat of the prince. Afterwards, visit JantarMantar, a solar observatory and the largest of its kinds. The observatory has handful of instruments used to calculate the positions of stars. Sun Dial is the largest instrument of its kind in the world.  After that visit Hawa Mahal, splendidly called the Palace of Winds. The palace is built in the form of the crown of Lord Krishna. During the hot summers in Rajasthan, the royal ladies used to sit in this palace to see the proceedings in the town.
