      Welcome to India! Upon arrival at Delhi airport, you are greeted by our representative. Transferred to your hotel where our representative helps you check in and briefs you about the following tours.       Day 2: Delhi

      After breakfast we head to Old Delhi, built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1639 AD. We will visit the Raj Ghat where the father of India Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. The next stop is Jama Masjid, one of the iconic, historic and largest mosques in India. From here you will be driven past the iconic Red Fort, the standing testimony to the magnificent power and pomp of the Mughal emperors. We then visit Chandni Chowk, a very popular and busy market in Old Delhi. A rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk will be interesting as you can observe the local life through the busy bazaar. After this we will head to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib which is one of the prominent Sikh houses of worship. Next we will go to Humayunโ€™s tomb, another UNESCO world heritage site. Later we will visit Qutub Minar, touted as Indiaโ€™s largest Minaret and India Gate, built in memory of the Unknown Soldier. You will be driven past the Parliament House, Presidentโ€™s House and other Government Secretarial Buildings before going back to your hotel.       After breakfast proceed for city tour of Shekhawati which was established by Shekhawat Rajputs and named after Rao Shekha. The villages of Shekhawati are famous for the painted havelis or houses and have the highest number of frescos in the world. The Marwaris were an influential business community in this region and in the 19th century, many left their families to migrate to larger cities where they succeeded quite well. With this money, the Marwaris built large houses in these villages and to tell the world about their success, they hired artists to paint these houses and havelis. After visits you will be transferred from Mandawa to Pushkar. Stop-over for coffee break and photo stop on your request. On arrival check in at the hotel.       After breakfast you will be visiting Pushkar - one of the most sacred pilgrimages for Hindus and considered to be one of the oldest existing cities in India and it is said that Lord Brahma created this holiest of cities for the Hindus. When a demon Vajra Nabha killed Brahma's children, Brahma hit him with a lotus flower which killed the demon. A lotus petal fell in Pushkar and a lake was formed where Brahma performed a sacrifice on a full moon day. A temple dedicated to Brahma is the only one of its kind in the world. Hindus believe that bathing in the lake will ensure salvation. Pushkar is famous for its Camel fair when thousands of camels and cattle are traded.  After visits you will be will be driven to Jaipur. Jaipur, also known as the pink city is the capital of Rajasthan. Many captivating palaces are present here having breathtaking design and architecture.       After breakfast the Jaipur journey starts from Amber Fort also known as Amber Palace, the earlier capital of Jaipur. This magnificent fort was constructed in red sand-stone and marble by Raja Man Singh and is divided into four sections each with a courtyard. You could ascend the fort by walking up the steps or in jeep (on direct payment basis).  Later you will be taken to Maharaja City Palace, a royal palace with seven storeys as well as Jantar Mantar, the observatory. Another palace, Hawa Mahal is popular all over world for its magnificent architecture. You will be taken through business centers of Jaipur. End your tour with visit to Birla Temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Narayan), the preserver and his consort Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth and good fortune.       After breakfast you will be transferred from Jaipur to Agra en-route first stop will be at Abhaneri (without guide service) which is known to have 'Baoris', stairwells that were invented by the Indians to harvest rainwater. These tanks were used as reservoirs of water in dry times of the year. Chand Baori is the most popular of the wells in the region, and is one of India's deepest and largest. There are three ways to reach the water with the steps, which are divided into the stories.  After visit continue your drive to Agra where your next stop will be Fatehpur Sikri which was built in the 16th century by Emperor Akbar. Fatehpur Sikri holds exceptional testimony to Mughal civilization and is one of well-known UNESCO World heritage site of India and has various historical monuments.       Early morning at sunrise you will be taken to Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday), one of the wonders of the world. This beautiful building is elegantly built with white marble by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between the years 1631 to 1648 and it was built in the memory of his favorite beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal. After visits return back to hotel for breakfast and shower. After some rest in proceed to visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and known for its architectural structure and was built in the 16th century during the Mughal Empire.       After an early breakfast you will be transferred to board train to Jhansi. On arrival at Jhansi railway station you will be greeted by our representative and from here drive to Khajuraho visiting Orchha en-route. Orchha, a town in Madhya Pradesh near the banks of Betwa River. The medieval city of Orchha seems to have frozen in time, its palaces and temples still retaining their original grandeur. The word Orchha means 'hidden'. When the Tughlaqs, who were ruling Delhi in the 15th century, pushed the Bundelkhand rajas out of Garkhundar, they retreated to distant Orchha. You will find it so easy to travel back in time when taking a quiet and less crowed walking tour around here.  After visits continue your drive to Khajuraho, stop-over for coffee break and photo stops as per your request.       After breakfast visit Khajuraho, once the capital of the Chandela Dynasty, this little village is now famous for its World Heritage-listed temple architecture. Enjoy your exploration of the world renowned Khajuraho Temple Complexes, each of which decorated with unbelievably exquisite sculptures that have stood the test of nature for more than 1000 years and stayed almost intact. It is said that Khajuraho is something that canโ€™t be described in words but must be experienced, you will find your own answer there.  After visits you will be transferred to airport to board flight to Varanasi. On arrival at Varanasi airport you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.       Early morning boat excursion on the river Ganges, a ferry pilgrimage from ghat to ghat. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers to the rising sun. The two cremation ghats are Manikarnika & Harishchandra where funeral pyre burns day and night. Every pious Hindu believes that to die in Kashi and to be cremated on banks of the Ganges is to attain release from the cycle of birth and death. Next head to visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the most famous temple in Varanasi, also known as the Golden temple dedicated to the Lord Shiva. After this drive back to hotel for breakfast.  Afternoon is at leisure in which you can partake in the activities of your interest. Later this afternoon head for old kashi walking tour. Walking in the oldest markets, narrow and puzzled alleys of Varanasi will take you to an entirely different world. Seeing a 400-year-old saree market, the spice and grains market, a magnificent mosque built by the Mughals along the river and the temple of Lord Kaal Bhairao, known as the Kotwal or the Police Chief of Varanasi will give you a real sense of the old city "Kashi". Then this evening witness the thousand-year-old Aarti Ceremony during which worshippers pray near the water by the light of candles and lanterns.       After a leisurely breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Sarnath and visit the buried Buddhist city where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon, Sarnath was a renowned school of learning from 6th century B.C. to 12th century AD. Visit the ruins, the stupa, the Buddhist temple and the Museum (Closed on Friday). After visits in time you will be transferred to airport to board flight back to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi self-transfer to another floor on same terminal to board flight back home. No service in Delhi. Meal: Breakfast
