AYUBOWAN-! Welcome to Sri Lanka: upon arrival at Colombo CMB Airport, you will meet your tour leader and you will be transferred to your hotel (we can pick you up from any hotel in Colombo or Negombo as well).

DAY PLAN:

For day one, you are free to arrive in Sri Lanka at any time. The ﬁrst destination will be Pinnawala, which is well-known for the Elephants’ Rehabilitation Centre, originally created in order to protect and look after the wild elephants found wandering in and around the forests of Sri Lanka. It is always a pleasant experience to give them a bath at the nearby river.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast with a hot cup of Sri Lankan tea or a coffee, you will take a wonderful journey across the stunning Sri Lankan countryside towards Dambulla city, which is the central point of the cultural triangle on the island.

DAY PLAN:

Upon arrival at Dambulla, you’ll enjoy a wonderful cultural village tour while exploring the beautiful countryside. It is a great opportunity to get close to unique local culture & life style of Sri Lankan people. It will start with a Tuk Tuk ride and a catemaran boat ride across the lake before reaching the farmer’s house where you will experience a Sri Lankan curry cooking demostration & authentic countryside food.

Afternoon, you will visit Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress (UNESCO World Heritage Site) since it’s the best time to witness and capture the beautiful scenery of sunset from the summit. King Kasyapa (477 – 495 AD) built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful frescoes. Known as one of the wonders of the world due to the amazing architecture & technology being used.

In the morning, you will have an educational session at Polonnaruwa Primate Center Lodge, known locally also as the “Monkey Camp”. This site attracts scientists, students, educators, and anyone interested in primate biology, wildlife conservation, and South Asian tropical biodiversity.

Thereafter, you will visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa (UNESCO World Heritage Site). In 1070 King Vijayabahu chose this place as his Kingdom, one of the most ancient in the history of Sri Lanka. Cycling through Polonnaruwa’s antique ruins would be a wonderful experience.

After breakfast, proceed towards Kandy, the capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom. It’s set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and bio-diverse rainforests. Kandy is also famous for its sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth Relic.

DAY PLAN:

En route to Kandy, visit the Royal Cave Temple (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE). Dambulla has the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 meters over the surrounding plains and houses 5 cave temples with some of the most unique and signiﬁcant historical drawings.

Afternoon, vist the Temple of Tooth Relic (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE) and Kandy view point.

Morning, step into Gem Museum; get to know more about the World-renowned and most prestigious Sri Lankan gems and jewelry and how they have been made using traditional techniques.

Thereafter, visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden, one of the best botanical gardens in Asia. It attracts 2 million visitors annually and it is renowned for its collection of orchids. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres.

In the afternoon, you’ll explore on your own walking around Kandy’s city centre before engaging with a cultural dance show which is inspired by Sri Lankan arts, traditional dance and cultural heritage.

En-route to Nuwara Eliya, while driving through the cold and misty hills that host lush green tea plantations, stop at a tea factory to observe the rich tradition of making Ceylon tea kept alive up to date. Make sure to end your factory visit in style over a perfectly blended cup of tea.

Afternoon, you will enjoy walking through Nuwara Eliya city center and the fruit and vegetable market.

Explore the village, Ella is everyone’s favorite hill country village due to the fact that it’s a wonderful nature-friendly location. Rawana Waterfall and Nine Arch Bridge are the most popular sightseeing attractions in Ella.

Afterwards, continue your journey towards Udawalawe National Park, the largest and most stunning national park in Sri Lanka. Enjoy a 4x4 jeep ride searching for peacocks hanging on trees or whispering through the bushes, crocodiles patrolling the river or wild baby elephants drinking water and playing around.

This incredibly beautiful place is home to a vast number of animals such as sambar deer, wild boars, barking deer, squirrels, monkeys, porcupines, leopards, and many other mammals. Also, this place hosts over 160 species of birds.

Upon arrival at Galle. walk through the streets listening to the creaks of wooden saloon doors and observe how European architecture mingles with South Asian traditions nowadays ﬂooding cultural enthusiasts on a global scale.

Thereafter, you’ll visit a turtle hatchery centre where baby turtles learn to take their first swim and injured adults are rehabilitated back into the ocean.
