Accommodation

Accommodation will be in a Hotel/Lodge on the first day on twin sharing basis. On other days it will be in Sahara meru tents which are 2.4*2.4 meters Double beds with full bedding, no need to bring sleeping bags and pillows En-suite Bush toilet and shower Camping/ Rest chairs in every tent Tents are cleaned and serviced twice daily Every tent has a carpet and table

Guide

Guide and Crew Accompanied by 3 crew members who are Local staff (for solo travellers, 2 crew members and the crew number increases with the group size) Crew includes: Guide, Chef and camp assistant Guide makes sure you are safe at all times. They drive you around for game viewing and sightseeing. Our guide will be available to assist with in-depth knowledge at any given time during your travels about the area, nature, wildlife, culture, current affairs, and extensive knowledge in birding, tracking and interpretive bush walks. The Chef prepares and serves all meals and drinks daily Camp assistant erect the tents, cleans the tents and surrounding. They also services and clean the tents and bathrooms twice daily. Provide hot shower water. You are not expected to do any chores such as cleaning and cooking

Transport

Transport Pick and drop off from and to the hotel/Lodge/Airport or agreed place Airport transfers Road Travel is by Open Sided Specialised Safari vehicle Second backup vehicle is available The road in Botswanaโ€™s Parks and Game reserve is gravel road which is poor and so tough on vehicles. These increase the chances of occasional breakdowns and if they do occur please treat them as an African adventure. We do have backup of the breakdowns. Optional fly in to the destination is also available but with extra cost

  • Day 1 Maun
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Maun

      On the first day of arrival in Maun, you will be picked from the airport to the lodge, hotel,  which you will spend one night and have lunch or dinner depending on the time of arrival. Before arriving at the lodge, you will get an option of going to town to buy anything or changing your currencies. On arrival, there will be a briefing of the whole trip itinerary as well as what to bring and what to expect during the trip and the time of departure the following morning.

      Maun to Moremi Game Reserve

      After your morning breakfast, you will meet your professional guide who will drive you to Moremi Game Reserve, where you will have to spend a night camping. On arrival, the camp hand will prepare the tents while you go out for the morning drive, the chef will also prepare your meals.

      You will carry your bottled water, snacks, and drinks. The drive will last for some hours and later go back to the camping site. Later in the evening, you will have an option of doing the afternoon drive depending on what you have seen in the morning. You will spend two nights in this area visiting different areas of attraction while on the drive both morning and evening. You will spend a night camping.

      There will be ablutions with showers and water system toilets. During dinner, you will spend the night around the fire while you have enough time to discuss the itinerary of the following morning.

  • Day 3 Moremi Game Reserve
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Moremi Game Reserve

      During the morning, you will enjoy an early breakfast and then do the drive in Moremi Game Reserve. You will visit areas like the Black pools, paradise pools Xini area. Later then drive back to the camping site and rest for some hours.

      You will relax and catch up with the diaries during the siesta time of the afternoon.

      Later the chef will prepare the meals and in the evening we go for another game drive then back to the campsite, where we will enjoy our meals around the fire place. We will have enough time to discuss the itinerary of the following day.

  • Day 4 Moremi Game Reserve
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Moremi Game Reserve

      After your morning breakfast, you will pack your camping equipment and drive to Xakanaxa, where you will do boat cruise. You will cruise for 3 hours in the main channels of the Delta. During the cruise, you should expect to see a variety of bird spices as well as hippos and crocodiles. Sundowners and snacks are enjoyed on the game drive before heading back to camp.

      In the evening on arrival in camp, you will be welcomed by sight of the campfire and the smell of dinner.

  • Day 5 Maun
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Maun

      After your morning breakfast, your camp assistants will break camp and you will have your game drive back to Maun. you say your goodbyes around 11 and youโ€™ll be dropped off at the airport (or hotel).

      Additional post tour activities and accommodation can be arranged for an extra cost.
