      Welcome to Maun! As the main gateway to the Okavango Delta, Maun (pronounced as mau-uunn) is Botswana's primary tourism hub.ย  Fact: The Okavango Delta in Botswana is one of the world's largest inland deltas. Fact: Moremi Game Reserve is a gem of a National Park that has garnered a number of important distinctions. In 2008, it was voted the 'best game reserve in Africa'. What will happend on Day 1: You will arrive in Maun Botswana and picked by our hospitality crew at Maun international airport. You will then be transferred to and stay at Sedia Riverside Hotel (sharing).ย  Narration: Sedia Hotel is located just 5 minutesโ€™ drive away from Maun international airport and is the gateway to Botswana's famous Okavango Delta. It boasts of comfortable rooms with super king-sized beds with pure cotton linen, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, LCD TV's with DSTV hotel package satellite channels, a fridge, tea/coffee station and a hair-dryer. Additional facilities include complementary Wi-Fi in all public areas, a meet and greet/lounge area at reception, indoor bar with pool table, restaurant, terrace bar with TV, large swimming pool and outdoor dining area. There will be no planned acitivities on the first day of your arrival. You will be given a short briefing by the Tour Director on some pertinent facts such as safety, required eco-tour practices expected during the entire tour and some relevant regional information. In the evening we will have a โ€˜meet and greet sessionโ€™ in the meet and greet/lounge area at reception where you will meet your fellow travellers.       Travel To Moremi Game Reserve

      Below is the program of the day 05:30 am - 0600 am: Wakeup in Maun from Sedia Riverside Hotel. Take breakfast as arranged.ย  06:00 am โ€“ Pack up all your personal belongings for quick check-out.ย  06.10am: Then you will proceed to Moremi Game Reserve transported in open-sided 4X4 safari vehicles, with coffee/tea being served, whilst viewing game on the way. You will see some of Botswanaโ€™s most breath-taking scenery on the way to an ideal camping location. The camp site services include food, beer/wine prepared and served by a highly qualified Chef. Setting up of tent accommodation:ย  You will also be requested to help out with mounting of tents including some minor camp chores. Mid-Day Lunch: After setting up the accommodation camp tents, sumptuous meals will be served with table and chairs nicely arranged. After lunch you may rest for a few minutes in a shady, beautiful setting to soak up the peace and serenity of the Okavango delta.       Today you will being doing soft adventure activities exclusively in the Okavango Delta --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overview The Okavango Delta is one of Africa's last remaining great wildlife habitat and provides refuge to huge concentrations of game. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Program of the day 06:30 am: The day will start with a wakeup call: Exchange of morning greetings pleasantries in the local Setswana language by saying "Dumela" meaning Goodmorning in English. Take morning bath. 07: 00 am: Breakfast will be served on the scheduled time. Thereafter taking breakfast, the team in the company of a professional mokoro guide will take the entourage for a mokoro safari trip along the tributaries of the Okavango delta. During this tour, there is a high possibility of viewing wild animals as they come to drink water along the many tributaries of the delta. Once back at the Mokoro landing base, the guide will set up a picnic lunch with table and chairs.
