Day 01 : Guwahati - Shillongย
Arrive Guwahati and drive to Shillong (140 kms / 4 hrs drive approx)ย en route Barapani (Umium lake) and after refreshment if time permits evening roam the Shillong famous Police Bazar on foot. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 02 : Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Shillongย
After breakfast you will be traveling to Cherrapunjee (60 kms/ 02 hrs approx one way) โ the wettest place on the earth. En route visit the famous Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak - to enjoy a birdโs eye view of Shillong city. At Cherrapunjee visit โ Mawsmai Cave, Nohkalikai Falls. After lunch at Cherrapunjee, visit Thankarang Park, Koh Ramhah. Drive back to Shillong for overnight Hotel.
Day 03 : Shillong - Mawlynnong - Shillongย
After early breakfast drive to Mawlynnong (110 kms/3 ยฝ hrs drive) Visit the Living Root Bridge. Itย is a 53 ft long bridge. Locally known as 'Jingkieng Deingjri' which means 'bridge of the rubber tree,' this bridge is remarkable in that it is more than a 100 years old. Then drive to Dawki (India โ Bangladesh Border).ย Late afternoon drive back to Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 04 : Shillong - Kazirangaย
Today after breakfast we drive to Kaziranga (290 Kms / 07hrs drives approx). Check in Hotel. Overnight in Kaziranga.
Kaziranga National Park
In the heart of Assam, covering an area of 430 sq-kms, is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. In 1985, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its unique natural environment.
Day 05 : Kaziranga National Park - Guwahati
After breakfast enjoy the Park on the back of Elephant, return back to lodge for breakfast and later proceed for a jeep safari in the Westral/Central range of the park to explore more inside the jungle. Afternoon drive to Guwahati (240 Kms/05 hrs drive approx). overnight at Guwahati.
Day 06 : Guwahati Departure
After breakfast visit Kamakhya Temple, Tirupathi, Umananda Temple, Bhimashankar Temple, Peacock Island
Later aroundย 02:30 pmย transfer toย Guwahati airportย for onward journey.ย
