Itinerary of your trip Luxury Arequipa & Colca Canyon 5 Days

  • Day 1 Arrival In Arequipa
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Arrival In Arequipa

      Once we arrive in Arequipa, we will be pick up and transfer to the hotel. After check-in at the hotel, we will have free morning for shopping or resting.

      **NOTE: check in at hotel at 12pm

      Afternoon: Arequipa City tour & Santa Catalina Monastery

      We will start with the pick-up at your accommodation around 2pm to go to the first places to visit: the viewpoints of Carmen Alto and Yanahuara. From these places we will have panoramic views of the city and the Misti volcano. Then, we will go to the main square, where we will receive explanations about the cathedral, the surrounding portals and the church of the Company of Jesus. Later, we will move to the Santa Catalina Monastery, a cloister from the colonial era that, over time, was transformed into a small village that gives us a very good idea of what the buildings of the city of Arequipa were like in the 17th century. End of our tour at Arequipa main square around 6pm.

  • Day 2 Arequipa โ€“ Colca Canyon

      Arequipa โ€“ Colca Canyon

      At 8:00 am we pick you up from your hotel to leave Arequipa (2,325m) destination to the snowy mountain Chachani in our transport. We will see wild vicunas, alpacas and llamas in the National Reserve of Pampa Caรฑahu as well as birds such as flamingos, ibis, Andean geese, ducks, eagles and Andean called Kara Kara.

      We will also visit the viewpoint of volcanoes and snowy mountains in Patapampa (4,800m).

      Arriving in Chivay (3,600m), the capital of the Colca Valley, we will have lunch and free afternoon to relax.

      Overnight in  Chivay.


  • Day 3 Colca Canyon- Arequipa
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Colca Canyon- Arequipa

      Early morning after breakfast (around 6:00 am), we leave for a full day excursion on the left side of the canyon and visit beautiful towns like Yanque and Maca with colonial churches and friendly people who are happy to show their traditional embroidered clothing. See hundreds of pre-Inca terraces still used for farm and Andean corn, quinoa, amaranth and others.

      After a drive of two hours, we reach the place you have been waiting - La Cruz del Condor. Here we can see the depth of the canyon and the condor wonderful ride. Free time to watch the condors and explore the lookout. Then we return to Arequipa where we will arrive around 5:00 pm and transfer to your hotel.

  • Day 4 Morning:. Sillar Stone Tour
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Morning:. Sillar Stone Tour

      Pick up from our accommodation around 8am and transfer to the ashlar quarries in the district of Cerro Colorado. In a time of arpo. 30 minutes from the center of Arequipa arrive at this place known as the Quarries Aรฑashuayco, in this place we can see where it is that the stonemasons take Ignimbrite then patiently manage to develop the Sillar, we will explain in detail the preparation thereof and also they learn the story behind the Sillar. In due time we return to the City of Arequipa and will arrive around 1pm

      Free afternoon to enjoy the city or visit museuns.
