  • Day 1 Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

      Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

      Pick up from your accommodation in Marrakech at 8 a.m., and depart to the High Atlas, a sub range of Moroccan Atlas Mountains, going through Tizi NยดTichka pass with stops for panoramic views and taking pictures of the Berber small villages that camouflage in the landscape. Then we continue south to the ksar (fortified village) of Aรฏt Ben Haddou where we will visit the famous Kasbah (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous films have been shot on this spectacular stage, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, and Sahara with Penelope Cruzโ€ฆetc. Free time for lunch in town.


      Then we continue to Ouarzazate also known as โ€œThe gate of the desertโ€ which in the Berber language means โ€œnoiseless or without confusionโ€. Here weยดll see the Taourirt Kasbah, one of the most spectacular ksars in Morocco. The next site to visit is the Rose Valley going through the big Skoura palm grove, a beautiful place to contemplate more than 700.000 palms and numerous kasbahs that are built in the surrounding area. In this Valley damascenes, roses are raised for cosmetic use such as the valued rosewater. The Rose Festival is held here annually in May and it is an important mousse for Moroccan culture. Finally, we reach the Dades valley where weยดll spend the night. Dinner and overnight in a traditional hotel.

  • Day 2 Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Jorf - Erfoud - Merzouga

      After breakfast in the hotel, we drive back through the valley to see the amazing rock formation โ€œthe monkey toesโ€, and the still-standing 19th-century Kasbah of Ait Yul. We leave the Dades valley towards Tinrghir and after some stops on the way, weยดll reach the Todra Gorge. The scenery is spectacular. At the Gorge, you will walk under the 300m high red cliff, where many rock climbers come to enjoy their preferred sport. Local people live in the area and can be seen in the adobe villages. After a short walk in the Todra gorge, continue our trip to Erfoud and Rissani, where we will have lunch and afterward we will leave for the village of Merzouga. Here you will spend your night in a hotel close to the dunes. Dinner and overnight in a traditional hotel.

  • Day 3 Merzouga - Khamlia - Nomad Family - Fossil Site - Tour Of The Dunes - Sahara Desert

      This morning after breakfast in the hotel, you will have a tour of the dunes on a 4ร—4 vehicle, allowing you to visit the black volcanic rocks of fossils, a nomad family living in a tent, Khamlia village where we will entertainment with the spiritual music of Gnawa. Afterward, we will visit the lake of Sarji which forms in springtime and attracts pink flamingos and wildlife. Then you will have a break for lunch in Merzouga or Hassi Labied.

      After lunch, you will see the canal irrigation system and have a walk on the oasis located at the foot of the dunes. In the afternoon, get ready for a camel trek for an hour guided by an experienced camel man, to enjoy the sunset. While on the back of your dromedary, you will explore inside the mysterious sand sea of the Erg-Chebbi and continue to the camp for an overnight in a traditional nomad tent. Dinner and spend the night in a bivouac in the middle of the dunes.

  • Day 4 Sahara Desert - Draa Valley - Zagora

      After a quiet and memorable night in the dunes of Erg Chebbi, you can watch the sunrise over the dunes. A typical breakfast will be served and we will depart for Rissani. You can explore the tourist area including the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and the palm grove as a part of your exploration. Lunch in Nkoub and then we continue to Zagora, through the Draa Valley. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Zagora.

  • Day 5 Zagora - Draa Valley - Kasbah Telouet - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

      Zagora - Draa Valley - Kasbah Telouet - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

      We will leave Zagora, through Agdez & Draa Valley. Our journey follows the path next to the Draa River, one of the longest rivers in Morocco. Enjoy the view of the green palm groves. Later on, we will make a stop for lunch, and after that, we will continue to Marrakech with a detour to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet. Here, we will make a stop to visit the Kasbah el Glaoui before we cross the High Atlas Mountain. Arrive in Marrakech late in the afternoon, the driver will drop you off at your hotel, and this is the end of your Morocco desert adventure tour.
