Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Bratislava/Vienna to High Tatra Mountains. Hike to a waterfall Skok

Stop At: Tatras National Park, Tatranska Strba 75, Tatranska Lomnica 059 41 Slovakia
Departure from Vienna or from Bratislava. Three-hour journey takes us to the North-Eastern part of Slovakia, passing Low Tatras National Park. En route we will also spot some of Slovak cultural and natural landmarks - castles, mountains and beautiful landscapes.
In the afternoon we will do our first hike, easy and relaxing one. Starting in the village ล trbskรฉ Pleso, 2-hour comfortable walk will take us to the Skok waterfall. It is about 30 metres high and falls from a rock threshold at altitude of 1,789 metres (5,869 ft). You can climb to the top of the waterfall over slippery terrain, which is secured by chains. The walk rewards you with gorgeous mountain and river views.
Route and duration: ล trbskรฉ pleso โ€“ Skok waterfall and back, approximately 3,5 hours.

Day 2: High Tatra Mountains - chalet and the mountain lake Zelenรฉ pleso

Stop At: Zelene pleso, Vysoke Tatry Slovakia
We will start the moderate hike to the mountain lake Zelenรฉ pleso (Green lake) from Biela voda, then crossing the valley Dolina Zelenรฉho plesa. It is a fabulous hike through pine forests and alpine meadows with stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Zelenรฉ pleso (Green Lake) itself is of beautiful emerald colour created by small underwater springs. You will be amazed by the 900 m high northern face of Maly Kezmarsky peak, Jastrabia Veza and other peaks in the scenic valley.
For experienced hikers: from the chalet we can continue to the Jahnaci peak (2220 metres / 7312 ft). The terrain and trail to the peak is difficult, secured with chains. From the top you will enjoy breathtaking views of the mountain environment.

Day 3: Hike to the lake Veฤพkรฉ Hincovo pleso and Kรดprovskรฝ peak

Stop At: Koprovsky stit, Vysoke Tatry Slovakia
We will start in the mountain village ล trbskรฉ Pleso and continue further up for approximately 3 hours to the largest (200 800 m2) and deepest (53,7m) mountain lake in the Slovak part of the High Tatras, Veฤพkรฉ Hincovo pleso. From there we ascend to Vyลกnรฉ Kรดprovskรฉ sedlo, and to the Kรดprovskรฝ peak. At 2367 meters (7765 ft), Kรดprovskรฝ peak offers spectacular views over the High Tatra ridges and valleys. It is one of the easiest to access among the High Tatra peaks, and the trail leads through one of the most beautiful valleys in the whole mountain range.

Day 4: Slovak Paradise National Park tour. Suchรก Belรก โ€“ gorge

Stop At: Slovak Paradise National Park, Hrabusice, Spisska Nova Ves Slovakia
The national park has 300 km of walking trails. One of the loveliest routes is the ascent up the dramatic, ladder- and technical-assist Suchรก Belรก Gorge. The hiking trail starts in small village Podlesok and takes us through some of the most beautiful parts of the national park full of greenery. Wooden and iron ladders, chains, steps and footbridges, requiring an extra caution, secure exposed stretches in the gorge. The whole trail leads through the stream Suchรก Belรก. Depending on the season, the level of water in streams can be higher and rocks can be slippery; therefore it is necessary to wear high ankle, waterproof and anti-slip trekking boots.
You will enjoy spectacular landscapes and rock formations giving you an amazing experience.

Stop At: Spis Castle, Namestie Majstra Pavla c.40, Zehra 053 04 Slovakia
We will also visit Spiลก Castle, one of the largest and oldest castle sites in Central Europe. It was built in the 12th century and became the political, administrative, economic and cultural center of Szepes County of the Kingdom of Hungary. The castle is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 5: Transfer back to Bratislava/Vienna
