Itinerary of your trip Classic Victoria Falls, Chobe And The Okavango Delta

  • Day 1 Day 1-2: The Smoke That Thunders (Victoria Falls )
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 1-2: The Smoke That Thunders (Victoria Falls )

Your adventure begins after touching down at Livingstone Airport in Zambia, where you will be greeted and welcomed by a staff from Little Roz Safari. aha The David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa Located on the banks of the Zambezi River, this Safari Lodge and Spa offers luxurious rooms only 10 minutesโ€™ drive from Victoria Falls. It has a spa and wellness centre and a private river-cruise boat.

Each of the rooms is luxuriously decorated with four-poster beds draped in mosquito nets. All rooms have a private bathroom and the suites contain a hot tub and lounge area. Guests can enjoy a sundowner on their private balcony.

The expansive gardens contain an outdoor pool surrounded by the Gwembe Terrace serving fine cuisine in a relaxed setting. There is also buffet dining available at Kalai Restaurant and a cocktail bar.

After a restful night you can look forward to a day of exciting activities, all included in your stay: take a tour of the Zambian side of Victoria Falls and enjoy a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi. The lodge also offers walking safaris and game drives in Mosi-oa Tunya National Park, and cultural tours to the local school and village.

Livingstone is known as Africaโ€™s adventure capital so if you are an adrenalin junkie you can take on the Grade 5 rapids of the Zambezi River, swim on the edge of the Falls in the Devilโ€™s Pool, take the โ€˜Flight of the Angelsโ€™ over the Falls on a helicopter or microlight, or go bungee jumping. These activities are optional extras but are easily co-ordinated by your personal .

  • Day 2 Day 3-4: Boat River Safari
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 3-4: Boat River Safari

Bid farewell to Zambia with a final breakfast and an early morning game drive. It is then time to cross the Kazangula border into Botswana โ€“ you will transfer over the river at a place known as โ€˜Four Countriesโ€™ as it is the point where the borders of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia meet. A guide will escort you through customs to ensure a hassle-free crossing. After the transfer, you will arrive at Chobe Safari Lodge.

Chobe National Park is the second largest wilderness reserve in the country and is best known for its estimated 80 000-strong elephant population. After lunch, and perhaps a spot of high tea, is the scheduled afternoon safari activity, which is usually a romantic cruise on the Chobe River (look out for families of elephants crossing, the leader testing the depth of the water and the babies kept safe in the middle of the group). You will return to the lodge after a spectacular sunset where a sumptuous dinner awaits. The following day is all about tracking big game including lion, hippo, crocodile and large herds of elephant and buffalo โ€“ either on game drives or river cruises.

  • Day 3 Day 5-6: Into The Delta
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 5-6: Into The Delta

Today you will begin the exciting journey into the Okavango Delta. After a short transfer to Kasane Airport a light aircraft flight takes you to Stanleyโ€™s Airstrip. It is a very scenic flight and is followed by a short road transfer to Safari Camp.

Your next two nights are spent in luxurious tented suites, and you will be treated to a very exclusive safari experience within 260 000 acres of private wilderness. The camp accommodates just 16 guests at any one time and offers serene mekoro excursions (subject to water levels), romantic bush dinners, guided nature walks, game drives as well as the rare opportunity to enjoy night drives. An optional extra that comes highly recommended is the chance to get close to three semi-habituated orphaned elephants, walk alongside them and even feed them.

  • Day 4 Day 7: Maun-Tour End
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 7: Maun-Tour End
