Our guide will let you know which activities you will start with for the five days you spend in Laongo. Here are some of the activities you will be doing during your stay: Morning/ Evening Game drives The park has a lot to offer nature lovers, birders, and ecosystem enthusiasts. You will also catch a glimpse of the vast wildlife in the park, including monkeys, sitatungas, crocodiles, and forest elephants. On a visit to this serene ecosystem, you wouldnโ€™t fail to miss an elephant taking a stroll in the muddy waters, a pack of lions hunting for a kill, a buffalo slowly charming the evergreen grass, or maybe a rhino taking a busk while listening to the chirping birds of Loango. The park is brimming with several species of trees, including mangrove forests, a vast coverage of savanna, and tidal lagoons. Boat Safaris. A boat safari will enable you to explore the vast lagoons in the bark, see the forest elephants along the Akaka river, and see the sitatungas as they graze the vast park. The boa safari is quite interesting during the rainy season between November and April. Gorilla Trekking Loango is also home to lowland habituated gorillas. The Atananga group is one of the habituated gorillas in the pack. Watch how these animals are close to the human species. However, these animals are often challenging to spot as they fear human interaction and are aggressive when they meet humans too close to them. Trekking to the gorillas is a unique experience, especially in Januaryโ€“May, since they are easy to spot and do not travel much. Whale watching The humpback whale is a famous visitor along the Loango coastline between July and September. Carry your camera and capture a vivid experience of this playful mammal as they arise and dive into the water. The pack has two seasons, the dry and the rainy, each offering a unique experience. The dry season includes December through January and May through September. On the other hand, the rainy season has Februaryโ€“April and Octoberโ€“December. Accommodation: Laongo Camps. Meal Plans: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
