Accommodation: Day 1 & 2 - (&Beyond Savute Under Canvas) Savute, a remote and wild corner of Chobe National Park, stretches from the park’s northern boundaries to the Linyanti River. It’s named after the enigmatic Savute Channel, which flows and dries up intermittently, seemingly unrelated to rainfall: it flowed in 2009, again in 2013 and no-one can say when it will flow again. Savute Under Canvas is a mobile camp carefully positioned close to this channel which feeds into the Savute Marsh, home to exceptional numbers of elephant-hunting lion. Situated within the unique and haunting Savute landscape, our exclusive mobile campsites are perfectly situated to explore this remote region. The common guest area comprises open-sided tents for dining, pre-dinner drinks, or simply whiling away the time between game viewing adventures with a good book and a frosted beer or glass of wine. Delicious meals cooked over the coals are shared around a blazing fire. You’ll love the spaciousness of our mobile tents. Each of the five canvas tents boasts a comfortable double or twin bed, as well as an ensuite bathroom, separate flush WC and an outdoor bucket shower – steaming hot water is available on request. A private butler is on hand to assist with any requirements. Accommodation: Day 3-5 ( &Beyond Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp) Ideally positioned to explore the magnificence of the Okavango Delta, Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp is located on an exclusive 25,000-hectare (61,775-acre) wildlife concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is known for its elegant tented accommodation, which boasts breathtaking views of both mature mopane woodlands and seasonally flooded grasslands. You have the priceless opportunity to discover the myriad wildlife wonders of this diverse land-water Okavango location. Blending harmoniously with the environment, nine tented suites (including a family option) set on raised wooden platforms, are cradled under a canopy of towering ebony trees. Each spacious unit features a luxurious bed, an extended private veranda complete with a shaded sitting area, irresistible hanging daybed, and glorious Delta outlooks. The open-designed ensuite bathroom has both an indoor and screened outdoor rainshower, with a flush toilet enclosed by stylish canvas panels. Beautiful views, teak floors and a high pitched, open-truss ceiling frame the central guest area. Expansive indoor and outdoor sitting and dining areas include a range of guest-pleasure amenities: an interactive food and coffee bar, complete with our trained baristas; an extensive pool area with inviting loungers and shaded salas; a dedicated massage sala and a spectacular open-air boma, set under the dappled shade of the camp’s massive ebony trees – ideal for those buffet feasts under the stars. Accommodation: Day 6 & 7 (&Beyond Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp) Xaranna nestles deep in the heart of Botswana’s game-rich Okavango Delta. With sweeping views opening up onto a seasonal lagoon, this light and airy camp enjoys luxurious solitude on its own Delta Island, within an exclusive 90,500-hectare (223,630-acre) wildlife concession. Xaranna is a delightful camp, with just nine ensuite safari tents that luxuriously combine canvas, soft drapes and bleached timber. You’ll love the romantic outdoor sala, private plunge pool, indoor bathtub and al fresco shower. The overall atmosphere of the camp is cool, light and airy, in keeping with the gentle beauty of its environment. Taking inspiration from the Delta’s profusion of water lilies, the camp’s pastel colour tones are a delicate spectrum of olive greens, lily pinks and a chic yellow hue. Views, views and more views: the guest areas are all carefully positioned to maximise the expansive views across the Delta to the distant silhouettes of Delta tree lines. The inviting guest sitting area boasts a spacious reading section – perfect for afternoon relaxation. The elevated dining area extends onto a shady veranda which in turn leads onto an open-air boma where candlelit dinners are served beneath the stars.
