      Day 2: Kathmandu City Tour

So it is your day 2 in Nepal as well as your first active day of the tour. Now, what better way to start off the journey than visiting the famous Kathmandu Valley? This culturally significant piece of hill resides in the western region of Kathmandu city. Kathmandu Valley can best be described as the musical wonder consisting of both natural enrichments and mythical ancient structures. This is a goldmine of tourist attractions. Thus we will start from the Kathmandu Valley and end up with the destinations nearby if not in the territory of the valley itself.

Moreover, today we will be focusing on four of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Nepal, which will include:

      a) Swayambhunath Stupa

The first place we will visit in the Kathmandu Valley is also the most antiquated sacred site. Swayambhunath is over 2000 years old Buddhist Stupa surrounded by Tibetan monastery. The construction of the Stupa includes a dome-shaped base holding a cubical structure at its top. And the cubical structure has the eyes of Buddha painted at its four visible sides. At the top of it, the cube helms thirteen pinnacle. The dome represents the earth and the eyes at each side of the cube represent enlightenment and clemency. Moreover, the thirteen spires symbolize the thirteen stages of spiritual realization; a conscious human being has to go through to reach Nirvana.

      b) Kathmandu Durbar Square

Next, we will move to another world heritage site. Kathmandu Durbar Square is a place packed with approximately 60 temples, the ancient royal palace making for a destination that gives you a taste of living history. This Durbar is a living specimen of Hindu as well as Buddhist religious-cultural enrichment displaying some of the most breathtaking architecture with detailed and intricate designs. Furthermore, most of the temples in this durbar square are several hundred years old.

      c) Boudhanath

In the northeast of Kathmandu, Boudhanath resides in the ancient trade route between Nepal and Tibet. 28 mins driveway from the Kathmandu valley via Bhaktapur road, this Boudhanath Stupa will be our next destination. Having an origin dating back to almost 1,600 years, this Stupa is the largest Stupa that Asia has to offer as well as it is the 3rd largest in the entire world. Being in the midst of a suburban area, it has shaped a culture of its own. You will get an essence of authentic Tibetan lifestyle and devotion here.

      d) Pashupatinath

Subsequently, at the end of this touring day, we will be visiting the temple of Pashupatinath, which is only 2km away from Boudhanath. Hence, you can say that it is on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu and on the shore of the sacred Bagmati River. As the name suggests, it is a holy place dedicated to Lord Shiva. This is one of the most important pilgrimage centers for Hindu devotees in entire Asia.

Finally, after such an eventful day, we will leave you to your hotel safely. There you can relax or spend the remaining of the evening as per your terms.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Kathmandu Cycling
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 3: Kathmandu Cycling

Taking a ride across the northern part of the Kathmandu Valley in a cycle comes to your third-day trip. The road map includes the hills of the Valley rim around Shivapuri National Park. After that, we will follow the mountain leading to the destination of Mudhku Bhanjyang. This stop is at an elevation of approximately 1530 m. Here you will enjoy the unobstructed blue skies as well as the panoramic view of the Langtang and also Ganesh Himal Ranges.

Afterward, we will continue towards the easterly course from where we are. The goal will be to reach the Tokha, the next village on the road map. The road will provide for ample hidden gems of tourist attractions like unexplored valleys, breathtaking cascades along with happening wildlife. As you can assume, the day will be quite tiring after such extensive cardio exercise. It will be a total of six hours of prolonged activity before we reach Kathmandu in the evening.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Trishuli River Rafting
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 4: Trishuli River Rafting

Today will be a river day. To start off the fourth day of your trip, we will move on from the Kathmandu Valley and make our way towards the majestic Trisuli River, which flows right through Nepal. This river attracts a good chunk of Nepal tourism, including both the Asian and foreign travelers alike. The reason is that the Trishuli is a world-class rafting spot with its turbulent white water in the store.

Our program for the entire day is circling around this river. There will be a booking for three hours of rafting. Then, we will be boarding a first-class tourist bus to our launch site, taking with us a box lunch. Finally, at the end of the eventful day, we will take a local bus to return to Kathmandu.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Sunrise Over Nagarkot And Trek To Changunarayan
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 5: Sunrise Over Nagarkot And Trek To Changunarayan

Just as the past two days, the fifth day of your trip will be pretty happening too. We will begin the day with the experience of seeing the sunrise from the village of Nagarkot. And then we will move on to trek to Changu-Narayan.

Our driver will be there to receive you well before sunrise. And it will be the beginning of your journey by to the mythical viewpoint of Nagarkot. With an elevation of 2,175 meters, Nagarkot is often regarded as the best place in Nepal to experience an utterly majestic sunrise over the mountains of Himalayas.

In central Nepal, on the edge of the Kathmandu Valley is situated a small village named as Nagarkot. Towards the northeast of Nagarkot lies the Mount Everest. Hence, itโ€™s mainly renowned because the Himalayas are within eyeshot. The snow-capped summit looks spectacular when the weather stays clear. During the monsoons, it is highly improbable to catch a glimpse of the Nepal peaks. Therefore, the best time to visit Nagarkot is between October to April.

Another reason which makes Nagarkot a trendy spot for tourists & visitors is itsโ€™ salient views of sunrise and sunsets. If youโ€™re looking for an escape from your hectic & monotonous daily life, then itโ€™s undoubtedly worth a visit. As in this hill station, youโ€™re going to get awarded with a lifetime experience of witnessing the magnificent view of sunrise from this valley.

This valley offers you another treat, which is a view of the Indravati River to its east. The valley is at the height of 2195m. Hence, the view of the river from up there is thoroughly enjoyable.

Changu-Narayan is the oldest temple to be found in the Kathmandu valley. The temple was established in the 4th century. Lord Vishnu is worshipped here. Natives of Kathmandu believe Changu-Narayan temple as the epicenter of their history, religion, culture, and faith. You will be amazed to witness the living history speaking of its tales through its architecture and carvings. It is also worth noting that this is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

However, Changu-Narayan is mainly popular because it offers picnic spots and mini-treks to the tourists. It takes about 4-5 hours to hike from Nagarkot to Changu-Narayan. The trek is adventurous and unique, offering you the heavenly high altitude mountainous scenic beauties.

After going through such an eventful and exhausting day, our representative driver will leave you to the hotel for the night.
