      Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be greeted warmly by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure to explore the historic and vibrant city of Kathmandu. Meals: Not Included­

  • Day 2 Day 2: Acclimatize Kathmandu And City Tour

      Day 2: Acclimatize Kathmandu And City Tour

      After breakfast, we’ll start journey on a full-day guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, often referred to as the “City of Glory.” Our first stop is Durbar Square, the heart of the city’s religious and cultural life. This historic area is adorned with ancient temples and remarkable Newari architecture, including notable sites such as Kal Bhairav, Hanuman Dhoka, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, and the Kumari Ghar, home to the Living Goddess.


      Next, we’ll visit Swoyambhunath Stupa, one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world, perched on a hill offering panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley. Our journey continues to Pashupatinath Temple, a significant Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This expansive temple complex is located beside the sacred Bagmati River. While only Hindus can enter the temple courtyard, tourists can view the temple from the eastern bank of the river.


      We’ll then head to Boudhanath, a Buddhist Stupa renowned as one of the largest in the world. This towering structure features four pairs of eyes that gaze in each direction, symbolizing the watchfulness for righteous behavior and human prosperity.


      In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner. Meals included: Breakfast and Welcome Dinner.

      Catch an early morning flight from Kathmandu International Airport to Lukla Airport. From there, embark on a trek to Phakding. Descend over picturesque farmlands and pass through charming Sherpa villages, including Chheplung, Ghat, Sano, and Thulo Gumela. Along the way, visit the serene shrines and monasteries of Drangdrak Gompa and Pema Choling Gompa. Enjoy breathtaking views of the sacred Kumbila mountain and the neighboring Kusum Kanguru peaks. Meals provided: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

      Heading toward Namche Bazaar, we pass through the charming hamlets of Zamphute and Tok Tok, where the dazzling Thamserku peak glistens in the sunlight, accompanying us throughout much of the trek. We traverse scenic Sherpa villages such as Benkar, Chumoa, and Monjo, before reaching Utche Choling Gompa, perched on a bluff by the Dudhkoshi River. Continuing, we make our way to the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.


      As we complete the first half of the journey to Namche Bazaar, we prepare for the second half, which involves a steep ascent. We cross the last village of Jorsale and tackle a steep, stepped path that leads us to a stunning high bridge over the Dudhkoshi River gorge. Just before this bridge, the Dudhkoshi meets its tributary, the BhoteKoshi. Gradually, we ascend the final steps to Namche Bazaar, where we are rewarded with our first glimpse of Mt. Everest, towering over the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. After a final stretch of about 1.5 km (0.9 miles), we reach Namche Bazaar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

      On our way to Namche Bazar, we traverse the hamlets of Zamphute and Tok Tok, where we’re treated to the stunning sight of Thamserku sparkling in the sunlight, which will accompany us for much of the trek. We pass through the scenic Sherpa villages of Benkar, Chumoa, and Monjo, eventually arriving at Utche Choling Gompa, perched on a bluff overlooking the Dudhkoshi River. From here, we make our way through the bluff to the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.


      As we complete the first half of our journey to Namche Bazar, we prepare for a more challenging second half due to the steep ascent. After passing through the village of Jorsale, we cross a steep, stepped path leading to an impressive high bridge over the Dudhkoshi River gorge. Just before the bridge, the Dudhkoshi meets its tributary, the BhoteKoshi. As we begin the final uphill climb, we’ll catch our first glimpse of Mt. Everest, peeking over the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. After about 1.5 km (0.9 miles) of climbing, we reach Namche Bazar. Meals provided: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

      Today, the trail ascends steeply out of the valley, winding through a lush rhododendron forest, with junipers and large conifers becoming more prominent as the elevation rises. Springtime adds a special charm to the trek. The route passes through Yak Kharka and various summer settlements. Enjoy magnificent views of Khumbi La and Tawache throughout the day. Meals provided: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.­

      The trail ascends a ridge offering stunning views down the valley to Kangtega and up towards Cho Oyu. After descending to a river, the path climbs steeply to the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpa Glacier. Arrive in Machherma by early afternoon. Meals provided: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.­

      Today’s trek leads us to one of our final destinations: Gokyo. We’ll set up camp here for a two-night stay, using it as our base for several hiking and sightseeing excursions around Gokyo. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

      Gokyo Ri is the crown jewel of the Gokyo Valley Trek, offering an unparalleled vantage point for spectacular mountain views. We begin our ascent early in the morning, crossing a stream at the north end of the village before climbing for two hours to reach a hilltop adorned with a cluster of prayer flags. From the summit, you’ll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cholatse, and Taboche, with the Ngozumpa Glacier dramatically cutting across the landscape. After soaking in the views, we descend back to Gokyo for an overnight stay. Meals provided: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.­
