Please provide a clear uncut scanned colour copy of the two flip pages of the personal details portion of your passport at the time of booking. Bhutan Immigration is extremely strict. If one passport scan fails to meet their requirements the whole groups visa will be rejected, thus delaying the process significantly. Airport arrival and departure transfers are included in Nepal and Bhutan. Please advise all international flight details at least 60 days prior to departure. Please be aware that Bhutan’s airlines are renowned for last minute changes to flight timetables into and out of Bhutan. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours transit time between your flight from Bhutan and your onward international flight. Timetables are available on the Druk Airlines and Air Bhutan websites. All travellers must arrive on Day 1 and depart on Day 7 to be eligible for a group visa. A single supplement to have your own room is available on this trip and is applicable for all nights on tour. All meals are included during your time in Bhutan. The transfers and flight between Kathmandu and Paro is included on Day 12. This flight is unaccompanied. The weight limit for your internal flights is 20kg for checked luggage and 5kg for your carry on luggage.

Our guests and staff’s safety and well-being are paramount to us. We are closely monitoring the evolving situation regarding the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and have implemented the following measures to ensure a safe environment during our tours: 1. Vaccinated Tour Guides: All our tour guides are fully vaccinated to protect their safety and that of our guests. 2. Protective Measures for Guides: Our tour guides will wear masks throughout the tour and use gloves when sanitizing, taking temperatures, and providing hand sanitizer. They will also frequently check their temperatures and refrain from working if sick. They can return to work after receiving a negative COVID-19 test or being fever-free for 14 days. 3. Sanitization of Vehicles: Before each tour, our tour guides will thoroughly sanitize and wipe down all surfaces inside the vehicle to ensure a clean environment for our guests. 4. Temperature Checks: Our tour guides will use non-contact thermometers to check the temperature of each guest before entering the vehicle. Guests with a fever or traveling with others with a fever (temperature above 100.4ºF/38.0ºC) will not be allowed to join the tour. 5. Restricted Front Seat Access: The front seat of the vehicle will be off-limits to guests to maintain distance between guests and the tour guide. 6. Non-Compliance Measures: Guests who refuse to wear masks or abide by social distancing guidelines, thereby jeopardizing the health and safety of others, will be removed from the tour without a refund. 7. Minimal Contact: Our tour guides will be the only individuals handling the opening and closing of vehicle doors during the excursion to minimize contact. 8. Mask Requirements: Guests must wear masks for the tour, except in locations where masks are not required. Guests must provide their masks, and those without masks will not be allowed to take the tour. Children under five or with medical conditions are exempted from wearing masks, while children aged five and over must wear face coverings. 9. Social Distancing: Guests are expected to maintain a 6-foot distance from the tour guide, other guests not in their party, partner staff, and other patrons. 10. Sanitization at Stops: Our tour guides will use sanitary wipes to disinfect commonly touched areas inside the vehicle at each stop. 11. Hand Sanitizer/Wipes: Our tour guides will provide hand sanitizer or wipes to each customer when they re-enter the vehicle. 12. Limited Group Size: To ensure social distancing, we limit the number of guests on our tours to 8 people. 13. Ongoing Monitoring: Our leadership team will continue to closely monitor the recommendations from reputable health organizations and implement best practices accordingly. 14. Contact Tracing: When making a reservation, we collect guests’ contact information to facilitate contact tracing during a positive COVID-19 case. One of Bhutan’s most iconic and breathtaking experiences is the climb to the renowned Tiger’s Nest Monastery, also known as Paro Taktsang. Our journey to Tiger’s Nest begins with a scenic drive to the starting point, followed by a hike through lush forests and pristine landscapes. The trail winds uphill, offering glimpses of the monastery from various angles, building anticipation and excitement.

As we ascend, we will encounter prayer flags fluttering in the breeze, chortens (Buddhist shrines) dotting the path, and occasional resting spots where we can pause to catch our breath and take in the stunning vistas. The hike may sometimes be challenging, but the reward of reaching the Tiger’s Nest is well worth the effort.

Upon reaching the monastery, we are greeted with an almost surreal sight. The sheer cliff face, adorned with prayer flags and colorful paintings, provides a dramatic backdrop to this sacred place. We can explore the monastery complex’s various temples, halls, and meditation caves, immersing ourselves in Bhutanese Buddhist traditions and history.

The view from the Tiger’s Nest is simply breathtaking. Looking out over the Paro Valley, we are treated to panoramic vistas of rolling hills, snow-capped peaks, and verdant landscapes. The serenity and tranquility of the surroundings make it an ideal place for reflection and inner peace.

We will arrange your transportation to the airport in accordance with your flight schedule. For instance, if your flight is at 7 am, we will ensure that you are dropped off at the airport by 5 am. Two hours is sufficient time at Bhutan’s airport to catch an international flight, as it typically has fewer passengers and less congestion.
