Day 1: Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting. Islamabad Airport transfers are provided.

Stop At: Faisal Mosque, Islamabad Pakistan
Arrive at any time. Meeting and assistance on arrival at the airport, our representative will meet to welcome and escort you by a private chauffeur driven car and transfer to hotel . Islamabad has been the national capital of Pakistan since 1965 and is an idyllic symbol of the thriving present of Pakistan. Feel free to explore before your welcome meeting, but make sure youโ€™re back in time to meet the group. After introductions, your tour leader will review the details of your tour. Day 2: Fly to Skardu (2500m) in the morning, afternoon free for sightseeing/ Drive on Karakorum Highway to Chilas (1280m)

Stop At: Skardu, Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan
Catch the scenic mountain flight to Skardu. The sights from the plane are amazing, providing dramatic views of hills and the distant Himalayan giants.Meet the crew and check the gears. The mountain flight into Skardu is spectacular and flight duration is generally around 50 โ€“ 55 minutes. Once in Skardu, Spend the next day trekking in the area and acclimatizing in preparation for heading to base camp. This is a challenging trip but the whole experience is simply awe-inspiring! In case flight cancelled or by choice drive to scenic Naran valleys to Chilas over the 4000 m Babusar pass to Chilas. enroute passing beautiful hamlets, lakes and villages. In case flight cancelled or by choice drive to Chias by Karakoram Highway KKH through scenic Kohistan along with river Indus.The drive is compensated by the beautiful scenery along the Karakoram highway and Indus gorges. The journey on the Karakoram Highway is most exciting and thrilling. It is a monument to the engineering feast and one of the most spectacular roads and the worldโ€™s highest metalled border crossing. It connects Pakistan and China stretching over a distance of 1300km between Islamabad and Kashgar, winding through three mountain ranges and following the ancient Silk route along the Indus Valley to the Chinese border at Khunjerab Pass. We pass through the historical town of Taxila, beautiful hill station of Abbottabad, quake affected lush green towns of Mansehra, Shinkiari and finally meet the great Indus on Thakot Bridge. From there onward the road snails along the bank of the Indus with contrasting landscape after every two kilometers. We pass through Besham, Dassu, Komila and Shatial to arrive at Chilas with many rocks carving and inscriptions along the way left by Chinese pilgrims and ancient travelers of 5th century A.D. Chilas was on the ancient caravan trail over the Babusar Pass into India. The drive through the Indus Gorge is guaranteed to knock your socks off! The view after crossing the Rai kot Bridge of Nanga Parbat is without any parallel. Standing at around 1,000 m. you see a mountain which rises to above 8,000 m! This is the largest land escarpment in the world. This is also where the three greatest mountain ranges meet; Himalaya, Hindukush and Karakoram.

Day 3: Skardu Sightseeing & Briefing /Drive to Skardu 10 hours

Stop At: Skardu, Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan
While we wrap up last minute paperwork with the government, we arrange for you to enjoy a city tour - or you can just relax at the hotel. The guide will make sure that your equipment is in place and might recommend any gear that needs to be rented. If we are Traveling by road, we will drive through the narrow gorge of the Indus River to Skardu.

Day 4: Drive to Askole (3000m) via the scenic Shigar Valley, 5-6 hour

Stop At: Shigar, Shigar, Gilgit-Baltistan
we will drive to Shigar town, have a brief stop here.

We will pass through this fruits laden valley to its entire length.

Arrive at Askole, where we camp. Overnight at 3050m. we meet the rest of our staff and porters and trek.

Day 5: Begin trek, Pass Biafo Glacier and path of Panma Valley to Jula (3100m), 6-7 hour

Stop At: Biafo Gyang Glacier
The early morning set up our first day trek with porters. Walking along the Braldu River we pass the village of Askole after about three hour. Walk brings us to Korofan(10,170โ€™) on the other Two hours walking we will camp at Jula. Day 6: Trek with a glimpse of K2 to Paiju (3420m), 7-8 hour

Stop At: Paiju
This is an undulating walk, with Occasional scrambles across the rock. Excitement mounts as we prepare to have the first views of the great mountains ahead. The trail climbs to vantage point from where we can see the snout of the Baltoro Glacier. Visible in the east is the magnificent panorama of Cathedral Towers and Broad peak (26,400,). Paiju camp (11,750) is situated in a grove of willow and poplar trees and has a freshwater stream running through it. A sacrificial goat will be provided for the porters, and weโ€™ll be able to listen and watch as they sing and dance throughout the evening. Four to five hours hiking.

Day 7: Acclimatisation day at Paiju (3420m) with options for hike for a view of granite towers of Trango and Cathedral peaks

We spend a complete acclimatisation day at Paiju, which is also a useful time for our porters to bake as much bread as they can for the trek.

Day 8: Climb up onto the Baltoro Glacier to Khoburse (3795m), 6-7 hour

Stop At: Baltoro Glacier
A little over an hour after we leave camp, we step on the snout of the Baltoro Glacier, a vast, turbulent sea of rocks and gravel more than a mile wide and nearly 40 miles long. We begin to feel the pulse of creation: the ice melts, the rocks roll, the glacier creaks and groans while rearranging its icy rivers. We walk across the boulder-strewn ice, gaining height steadily for three hours on a long diagonal to the south side of the glacier. Along the way we have spectacular views of Paiju Peakโ€921,648โ€ the jagged granite needles and blocks of the Trango Towers series, with Nameless Towers rising straight to 20,464. Camp at khobursay (13,000) a flat and sandy area of lateral moraine. Five to six hours hiking

Day 9: Trek with views of the Trango Towers and Nameless Tower to Urdukas (3900m), 4-5 hour

Stop At: Urdukas, Pakistan
For the first two hours we walk along the rest of the lateral moraine. Across the Baltoro glacier we have exciting views of Paiju Peak, Choricho (22,160) Uli Biaho, Trango Towers, Cathedrals, and Biale (22,160). We will camp at Urdukas

Day 10: Trek on Baltoro Glacier with views of Masherbrum to Goro (4295m), 6-7 hour

Stop At: Baltoro Kangri
Trek to Goro. Five hours walk on Baltoro glacier.

Day 11: Trek to Concordia (4500m) Passing Mustagh Tower, with view of Marble Peak and Crystal Peak, 5-6 hour

Stop At: Baltoro
Trek four to five hours to Concordia (14,500). As we make our approach, Gasherbrum IV (26,180) stand guard in the east, with Gasherbrum II (26,360) peering from its right shoulder, More extraordinary mountain views await us at Concordia, where we see K2 (28,741), Broad Peak (26,400), Golden Throne (23,989) Mitre Peak (19,718) and a vast array of other peaks.

Day 12: Rest Day or Trek to Broad Peak (4572m) & K2 Base Camp (5100m), 6 hour

Stop At: K2 Mountain, Skardu Karakoram Mountain Range, 16100 Pakistan
Trek to K2 Base Camp (16,500), as strenuous, 6-hours trek over snow, rock and ice. As we start hiking from Concordia, we cross the crevasses of the Baltoro Glacier, then walk on the Medial moraine of the Godwin-Austin Glacier to Broad Peak Base Camp. When we look back towards Concordia, we can see the zebra-stripe Glaciers sweeping around the corner and disappearing into the Baltoro Glacier.

Day 13: Trek to Concordia (4500m)

Trek back to Concordia.

Day 14: Trek to Ali camp (4800m), 6-7 hours

Pass By: Karakoram Mountains, Pakistan
The first two hours of the trek are difficult as we leave Concordia and traverse the Baltoro Glacier and its crevasses. One on the Vigne Glacier. Itโ€™s a comparatively easy and gradual walk over snow and ice, Mighty Chogolisa (25,110) standโ€™s guard in the south. Camp overnight at Ali camp (16,600), a combination of small rocky platform between the cliff Face and crevasse. We turn in early, as we have a midnight wake-up call for the departure over the Ghondogoro La. Five to six hours hiking.

Day 15: Cross Gondogoro La (5585m) views of four 8000 metre peaks to Khuspang (4600m), Trek to Ali camp (4800m), 10-11 hours

Stop At: Gondogoro Pass
We leave camp at about 3:00am to climb the Ghondogoro La 5700 m. As we get closer to the pass we shift on snow until the base of the pass. The final ascent involves a steep walk on snow and, depending on conditions, the use of fixed ropes as well as crampons and ice axe. The views from the top of the pass are unparalleled with K2 Broad Peak. Gashabrum I to IV, Mashabrum, and many other mountains appearing at our level. The descent on the Hushe side is Steeper, requiring god balance on the rocks. Camp at khuispan (15,416), a level green spot that has wildflowers.

Day 16: Trek to Saiecho (3350m), 7-8 hour

Pass By: Hushe Valley, Gilgit Pakistan
As we leave Khuispang, we make a long traverse of the Gondogoro Glacier, first encountering small crevasses, then hiking over the soft ice of the Glacier. The last half hour is a pleasant stroll through wildflowers with commanding views of the Gondogoro Glacier, Yermanad Kangri, Masherbrum South and the Masherbrum La Camp by two small lakes. As we continue, we gradually leave the icy landscapes and descend to the meadow and pastureland at Saiescho. Although we have left the icy wilds, we still have tremendous views of the mountains including Namika Peak and Defo Khar. Four to six hours hiking.

Day 17: Trek to Hushe village (3050m), 6-7 hour

Stop At: Hushe Valley, Gilgit Pakistan
Descend to the Gondogoro River, enjoying spectacular views of K-6 (23,881ft), K-7 (22,744ft) and Link Sar (23094ft). We continue to descend passing through small summer settlements enroute to the green irrigated fields at Hushe (10,500ft). Three to four hours hiking.

Day 18: Drive the Hushe to Khahlu valley and onward beside Shyock and Indus rivers to Skardu (2500), 6-7 hour

Stop At: Khaplu, Khaplu, Gilgit-Baltistan
By jeep to Skardu. Meet with jeeps and drive six to eight hours to Skardu, passing through many picturesque villages perched on vertical rocks. This part of Baltistan appears greener and more prosperous than on our drive to Askole.

Day 19: Fly to Islamabad/Drive to Chilas

Fly from Skardu to Islamabad, conditions permitting or make a two-day drive on the Karakoram Highway. Afternoon debriefing in Ministry of Tourism Islamabad, The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the markets of carpets, rugs, handicrafts etc. Return to Islamabad. Transfer to hotel.

Stop At: Jaglot
If flight cancels, will drive via Gilgit Skardu road to Juglot, where we can have a brief stop at Jaglot to view the meeting point of three greatest mountain ranges of the world.

Day 20: Islamabad Sightseeing /Drive on KKH to Islamabad

Stop At: Rawalpindi, Rawalpindi, Punjab Province
Day at leisure or shopping in neighboring city of Rawalpindi or optionally have a day trip to Taxila or Peshawar. If we cannot fly we will travel down to Islamabad by road along the Karakoram Highway. If we flew up to Skardu this will be an added bonus as it is a fantastic travel experience in its own right. The drive down the Indus River to Islamabad takes two days so this is an important contingency day to allow for this. If we have flown to Islamabad this will be a further day for sightseeing in the capital and your leader will advise the group on the options available for today..
