Day 1- Australiaโ€™s largest rainforest

Pickup Mackay we head up the Pioneer Valley passing the
small sugarcane towns, Pinnacle Pub for their famous homemade Pie, an
Australian Icon. Driving up the Great
Dividing Range to Eungella Chalet for spectacular scenery. That afternoon we go
to Broken River Mountain Resort nestled in Australiaโ€™s largest Rain Forrest. That
night a welcome buffet dinner to meet your fellow travellers. There are
rainforest walks beside the resort which has the best viewing of Platypus in
the World. After dinner we go spotlighting
in the Rainforest for any nocturnal animals.

Day 2-Wildlife Experience

Kangaroo and Wallaby tour on the beach with the national
park ranger. BBQ breakfast. Crocodile
Safari and Wildlife Tour, with an Australian Bush Billy Tea and Damper
Lunch. Commentary of wildlife fauna, and
the 70,000 years old culture of the Australian Aboriginal. Airlie Beach is a
very pretty town, it has the Conway National Park as its backdrop, the Coral
Sea and Whitsunday Islands for its spectacular views. A tour around the town showing the
highlights, stopping at two lookouts for great photos, pointing out some
restaurantโ€™s options while in Airlie Beach, Fish Dโ€™vine with its World-class
seafood.

Day 3-Whitehaven Beach and Snorkelling Tour

Optional a fast boat tour or sailing boat tour to Whitehaven
Beach, the number one beach in the world.
A bushwalk to a viewing platform that overlooks Hill Inlet, the 3rd
most photographed place in Australia.
Snorkel the fringe reef of the Whitsunday Islands. Lunch supplied.

Day 4-Explore Hamilton Island

Ferry past some of the Whitsunday Islands to the world-famous
Hamilton Island. Full use of Island bus
to explore, do some activities, go cart, clay shooting, a choice of 3 nature
bush walks and for the golfer a challenging and scenic golf course. Breakfast with the Koalas. Lunch
supplied.

Day 5-Bowen & Ravenswood

Bowen is our Winter Vegetable Capital of Australia. We will
have a seafood picnic lunch, overlooking the bay where they made the movie
โ€œAustraliaโ€. Bowen has beautiful
beaches, 360 Degrees Lookout, Murals on the building telling the history of the
town. That afternoon we head inland to
Ravenswood, a magical mining ghost town now a national trust treasure. It was once a thriving gold mining town. Today it is a beautiful presented virtual
ghost town, with a couple of pubs and some small businesses. In the boom era it had over 50 pubs.
Ravenswood is worth exploring, the mullock heaps, old mining shafts, chimneys,
rustic machinery and historic buildings, it is an informative tour into a once
thriving gold mining town. Accommodation
at the Railway Hotel, built in 1901, Historic listed, it is the way it was back
then, no en-suites.

Day 6-The history of Charters Towers

Charters Towers was founded in the 1870โ€™s when an Aboriginal
boy found a nugget of gold. We will meet
some of the local characters who are passion about the town and want to share
stories with you. Visit Allan at the
Miners Cottage which is overflowing with history and stories. He will teach you how to pan for gold. John at Venus Gold Battery, Australiaโ€™s
oldest remaining gold battery opened in 1872 and crushed gold bearing quarts
from Miners s. Erica, a tour of the
historic town its buildings and history, and the role it played in World War 2.
We visit Tower Hill with views over the town and the bunkers where the
Australian and USA stored their bombs to fight off the advancing Japanese. We head
into Townsville for a tour, the lookout at Castle Hill overlooks the town,
Coral Sea and Magnetic Island. A drive
along the Strand, Townsvilleโ€™s beachfront, the Casino where you might like to
come back for dinner and maybe a win of the pokies.

Day 7- Magnetic Island

A short ferry ride to Magnetic Island, a free day to explore
hop on hop off buses, there are beaches, bay and walks. It is the best place to see Koalas in the
wild.

Day 8 โ€“ Homeward Bound

Final breakfast to say good-bye, then at your leisure until
your plane flight out.

Deposit
A 10% deposit is required at time of booking the tour (this is in addition to the deposit required by your travel agent) Reservations will only be held for 7 days only without a deposit.
Balance of outstanding tour payment is required 30 days prior to departure.
When paying the required deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted the conditions of travel, which make up the contract between yourselves and Airlie Beach Transfers and Tours
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend our guests take out travel insurance prior to the start of the tour to cover anything unforeseen. We can assist you with this, please ask our team when talking to them.
Changes to the itinerary
Airlie Beach Transfers and Tours are responsible for supplying the tours as described in the current brochures except when circumstances or situations prevent this. Changes beyond our control such as delays or natural disasters for example could result in the itinerary being altered or changed. In such circumstances, we will do out best to provide comparable itineraries. There are no refunds in this situation.
Occasionally it may be necessary to alter or amend itineraries, accommodation and tours or use alternative suppliers from those published. This may be due to road, weather or other operational needs prevailing at the time, and is always made in the best interests of your wellbeing. Any personal expenses incurred by the guest as a result of any delays, alteration or curtailment of any tour, whether caused by mechanical defect or any other cause are the responsibility of the client (We strongly recommend all guests take out travel insurance)
Airlie Beach Transfers and Tours cannot be held responsible for any monies paid through unaccredited agents.
Reservations and Payment
Reservations and payments can be made on our website. For all credit payments a fee of 1% will be applied at time of processing.
Prices
Prices are in Australian Dollars and include GST and compulsory taxes where applicable and supersede all prices previously advertised.
Onboard Conduct
Food and Drinks cannot be consumed onboard the buses
Smoking, Alcohol and Illegal drugs are prohibited on the buses by law.
Intoxicated persons will not be permitted onboard and will forfeit their ticket.
It is the responsibility of the passengers to ensure Airlie Beach Transfers and Tours are informed of any excess baggage.
Cancelation policy
If you cancel with more than 30 days notice a full refund will be provided.
Cancelations of 7 โ€“ 29 days will be a fee of 50%
Cancelations of less than 7 days will not be refunded.
Illness or Nonattendance
In the event of your withdrawal from a tour after its commencement for reason of illness, a medical certificate must be supplied for any insurance claims. Airlie Beach Transfers and Tours can provide a written notice to support the claim. Unfortunately, no refunds can be made for absences from a tour including but not limited to, missed meals or tours.
Airlie Beach Transfers and Tours cannot guarantee reimbursements of funds paid by you under any insurance claim.
Errors
In case of a computer or human billing error, Airlie Beach Transfers and Tours reserve the right to re-invoice participants with correct billing.
Airport Transfers
Airlie Beach Transfers and Tours provide airport transfers between designated airports and tour accommodation at the start and end of the journey. Arrival and departure details must be provided at time of booking.
It is the passengerโ€™s responsibility to inform Airlie Beach Transfers and Tours of any flight changes including times to ensure they receive their transfer.
Its is the passengerโ€™s responsibility to answer texts or calls from Airlie Beach Transfers and Tours in case of flight delays or any other changes
No refund or compensation will be provided for missed transfers resulting form missing or outdated flight information.
Tour Participation
We request all guests to advise us of any physical, medical or other concerns that may affect your enjoyment of the tour or its enjoyment by others at time of booking. All guests must ensure that they are physical and medically able to travel and participate in the activities. A medical certificate giving clearance for travel may be requested.
Dietary requirements and accommodation requests
At time of booking please advise our reservation team of any special dietary requirements or room requests, such as, adjacent, connecting, ground floor. Please note this is a request basis only, Airlie Beach Transfers and Tours cannot guarantee the availability of special meal types and rooms requests are based on availability.

Mobility
Airlie Beach Transfers and Tours do not provide personal devices such as wheel chairs and Zimmer frames and unfortunately motorised scooters are not permitted on the tour due to available spaces and weight.
Luggage allowance
One medium suitcase per person plus one piece of hand luggage which may be carried onboard the coach
Seat Rotation
To enable everyone the opportunity of enjoying windows and front seats, guests change seats daily during the course of the tour

Tour leaving from Mackay

Mackay is a coastal city in Australia, known for its beautiful beaches and rich wildlife. It is also home to the Mackay Botanic Gardens, where various species of plants and flowers can be seen. Eungella National Park is another highlight of the area, famous for its wildlife, including the platypus.
