The experience begins in the city of Rio de Janeiro, and upon arrival you will be picked up at the airport. You must send the information of your arrival and departure flights (within the internal chat in your session) at least 30 days before your arrival and confirm that your guide has received them.

Do I need any specific medical records or vaccination?

Currently no vaccination is required to enter Brazil, but it is recommended to take the yellow fever vaccine. We suggest checking directly with the embassy for all travel information.

What happens if I get sick or injured during the trip and I cannot go on?

It is always important to have travel insurance. During your experience it is always necessary to notify the guide of any situation so that he can help you, but also depending on the case it is possible to reorganize the itinerary as needed.

Flights, travel insurance, departure transfer (hostel - apt), meals not mentioned in the itinerary, drinks, tips, other personal expenses. We recommend taking about $400 USD for general expenses.

On the day of your arrival you will be picked up at the Rio de Janeiro International Airport (GIG) and taken to the hostel where you will be staying.

At what time does the experience finish the last day?

This day, you travel from Ilha Grande back to Rio de Janeiro. You take a ferry, to leave the island and then a transfer in a van. The arrival time may vary due to the day's traffic, but it is estimated to be around 5:00 pm.

In what physical condition should I be to go on this adventure?

No specific condition is required, only a healthy and moderate physical condition is recommended.

Day 1 Arrival in Rio de Janeiro

A tour representative will pick you up on arrival at the Galeão International Airport (GIG) to take you directly to the hostel where you are staying. It is necessary to inform your guide of your flight schedule at least 30 days before your arrival. The location of your accommodation is in Ipanema, near the beach, bars, restaurants, stores, and public transport.

Day 2 Rio Janeiro
10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Rio Janeiro

After breakfast, you will be picked up at the hostel around 10:00 am for your tour of the city of Rio de Janeiro. You will meet your guide and leave in a van. The first stop will be at São Conrado beach. The view of the mountains surrounding São Conrado is wonderful, so we recommend that you try our hang-gliding tour while in Rio (not included - check out the extras section), which departs from Pedra Bonita. Afterwards, we will go to the Tijuca National Park, to get to know the huge forest in the middle of the city, the best point to understand how nature coexists with the urban area, where you will see waterfalls, plants, tropical trees and wildlife. You will also visit the "Vista Chinesa, o China", a beautiful viewpoint with a spectacular view of the southern area of Rio de Janeiro. Then, you stop for lunch in Ipanema (not included), before continuing the tour and visiting Christ the Redeemer (entrance fee included). The tour continues to Santa Teresa, a traditional old neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. This neighborhood still retains much of its original architecture. Towards the end of the day, you will go to Escadaria Selaron, the famous tiled staircase where Snoop Dog filmed the video clip of the song "Beautiful". Finally, you can choose to return to your hostel or optionally go to the Sugar Loaf Mountain (not included) and arrive just in time to watch the sunset.

Day 3 Rio Janeiro - Paraty

Rio Janeiro - Paraty

In the morning, after breakfast, get ready to leave for Paraty. Around 10:00 am, you will be picked up at the hostel, and you will leave in an air-conditioned minivan; the trip takes approximately 04 hours. Arrival at the hostel in Paraty, near the historical center and next to the beach. Rest of the day free so you can enjoy it as you like.

Day 4 Paraty - Boat tour

Paraty - Boat tour

Departure around 10:00 am to enjoy a boat ride. Go to the lobby of the hostel to take the voucher for your tour. You will go from island to island to see some beautiful local beaches. It will be a 5 hour boat trip, with 3 stops of 40 minutes in each of the beautiful places you will visit, which are perfect for optional snorkeling (not included), or simply exploring the beach.

Day 5 Paraty - Jeep tour

Paraty - Jeep tour

Departure at approximately 10:00 am to enjoy a Jeep tour, which will take you to explore colonial Paraty and Serra da Bocaina National Park. Go to the lobby of the hostel to take your tour voucher. This trip lasts approximately 06 hours, and includes visits to waterfalls, cachaça (Brazilian distilled drink), natural pools and easy excursions. In the afternoon, arrive at a local restaurant for lunch (not included).

After your breakfast, a guide will pick you up at the hostel and take you to Angra dos Reis, where you will take a one hour ferry ride to Ilha Grande, a rustic island just off the coast of mainland Brazil. Ilha Grande is a favorite of Rio's inhabitants. Arrival at the hostel near the beach in Abraão, the port city of Ilha Grande.
