Itinerary of your trip 5-Day Galapagos Island Hopping Tour: 3 Islands Experience

  • Day 1 Santa Cruz Island + El Chato + Twin Craters
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Santa Cruz Island + El Chato + Twin Craters

      You will be picked up at the airport by your private certified guide. Then, you will take the public bus to the Itabaca Channel, which you will cross on a ferry. Subsequently, you will go in the taxi to a ranch (El Chato) in the highlands to see giant tortoises in the free environment. Then, we will visit the Twin Craters which are located in the highlands of Santa Cruz Island and are surrounded by lush and green forests, dominated by the endemic Scalesia plants. It is possible to walk along the rim of the craters to better appreciate the magnitude of the holes as well as the local flora and fauna. This site is also one of the most likely places to observe the endemic short-ear owl of the Galapagos. In the evening, you can choose among a lot of restaurants close to the pier for dinner.

  • Day 2 Full Day Navigable Tour

      Full Day Navigable Tour

      Depending on the dates and/or navigable site available, pick-up from the hotel will be early in the morning (6-or 7:00 am) to take you to the small vessel at the embarkation point in Puerto Ayora for a unique experience with Galapagos wildlife and endemic vegetation. The destination can be either Santa Fe, Pinzon, or Floreana. The activities will include hiking, snorkeling, swimming, and breathtaking sightseeing. After land and sea excursions, we will return back to the hotel in Santa Cruz where you can relax 

  • Day 3 Speed Boat To Isabela Island + Tintoreras Islet
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Speed Boat To Isabela Island + Tintoreras Islet

      At 6:30 am pick you up at the hotel and go to the harbor, share a speed boat at 7:00 AM to Isabela (approx. 2-hour ride). Once in Isabela, you can walk on your own to the tortoise breeding center or to the flamingo lagoon. After lunch, we will pick you up to visit the Island Tintoreras islet, a short hike, and snorkeling. You can spot penguins, marine iguanas, sea lions, and reef sharks, which are resting there in the lava channel. Snorkel in turquoise water and spot different fishes, sea turtles, rays, and penguins.

  • Day 4 Isabela Island / Cabo Rosa (โ€œTunelesโ€)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Isabela Island / Cabo Rosa (โ€œTunelesโ€)

      You go by boat to Cabo Rosa (45 min boat ride), where lava has flowed into the ocean and formed beautiful lava tunnels. There you may see penguins, blue-footed boobies, and sea turtles. However, the Highlight is snorkeling. You have the chance to see sharks, sea turtles, sea lions, rays, seahorses and many tropical fishes. The tour to Cabo Rosa takes about 5 hours. Then, take the speed boat back to Santa Cruz.

  • Day 5 Baltra Airport
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Baltra Airport

      Your driver will bring you to the Itabaca Channel, which you will cross on a ferry. For the last part of your trip to the airport, you will take the public bus. Your driver will accompany you to the check-in at the airport, where your program ends with the flight back to the mainland.
