  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival In Muscat - Half-Day Visit Of Muscat

      Day 1: Arrival In Muscat - Half-Day Visit Of Muscat

      Arrival at the International Airport of Muscat, where you will be welcomed by our guide (or meet your guide at your hotel directly). Meet and greet and starting of the city tour to discover the Capital. The first stop will be the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the most impressive architectural gems in the Middle East that stands out for its magnificent decorations and lush gardens. Leaving this enchanting place of worship, you will continue towards Muttrah and visit the typical fish market and follow the Bait Al Zubair Museum. Enriched with new notions about Oman, you will resume your journey and after a brief photo stop at the Royal Al Alam Palace, flanked by the 16th century Portuguese forts Jalali and Mirani, you will reach the splendid Corniche. Here you could take a break on the waterfront overlooking the Mina Al Sultan Qaboos Port and test your negotiating skills in the labyrinthine Souq, one of the most fascinating in the Gulf thanks to its characteristic wooden roofs. You will have time to negotiate the price of incense nuggets, traditional daggers (khanjar) and local goldsmith products. From the souq you will be taken to the hotel for relax. 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Nizwa Fort & Souq - Wahiba Sands Desert

      Day 2: Nizwa Fort & Souq - Wahiba Sands Desert

      After breakfast, check out from the hotel and meet your guide at the lobby. Today your guide will take you in Dakhiliyyah region, especially in Nizwa, once the capital of the Sultanate. First visit of the day will be the traditional Nizwa Souq, the ideal place for shopping! Youโ€™ll find  souvenir sellers, fruit, meat and vegetables, typical objects, terracotta dishes and various furnishings. On Friday mornings you can also see the sale and auction of live animals, such as cows, camels, goats and donkeys, brought for the occasion aboard pickup trucks and improvised cars to transport animals. Later entrance at the spectacular Fort with the massive circular tower dotted with cannons, a unicum in all the fortified structures of the country. Your journey will continue to Wahiba Sands desert. The 4WD vehicle will go off-road among the wind-blown red dunes and lead you to the desert camp, with air conditioning and toilets. In the heart of the desert, dominated by the majestic sand dunes, you will be greeted affably according to the famous Omani hospitality. To make the excursion unforgettable, a breathtaking safari on the crests of the highest dunes, with climbs of over 150 m in altitude and stop at the highest point to see the sunset. Delicious Arabic dishes and a bonfire under the stars will conclude the evening. 

  • Day 3 Day 3: Desert - Wadi Bani Khalid - Ibra - Muscat

      Day 3: Desert - Wadi Bani Khalid - Ibra - Muscat

      After breakfast, you will start an exciting excursion in the desert and visit the House of a Bedouin family, where you can enjoy excellent coffee flavored with cardamom and local dates, as usual in Oman. From the boundless vastness of the desert slopes you will reach Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the most stunning of Oman. Despite the easy access, the wadi preserves the magical character of the oasis and still constitutes a precious source of irrigation for the typical date palm groves. You will have time for a rest and have lunch immersed in the fascinating atmosphere of this colorful panorama, to then resume the journey towards Ibra. Return to Muscat. 


  • Day 4 Day 4: Free Time & Departure

      Day 4: Free Time & Departure

      Free time for last visits in Muscat or for relax. As per your flight choice, one of our AFAQ Travel and Tourism staff drivers will pick you up at the Hotel and escort you to the Muscat International Airport, making sure that your departure also proceeds smoothly.
