      Go on a trip today to the Cu Chi Tunnels, which are a few hoursโ€™ drive northwest of Saigon. The Viet Cong used these winding tunnels as a vital supply route and hiding place throughout the war.


      In the afternoon, return to Ho Chi Minh City and explore the French-style General Post Office (GPO) and Notre Dame Cathedral. Reunification Palace, where the Vietnam War was formally concluded, is a sight to behold. Drive to Dong Khoi Street and look at the photo of the 1975 helicopter that was used to evacuate civilians from Saigon. Learn about the Opera House, the Ho Chi Minh City People Committee, and the War Remnants Museum, some of the must-see attractions in Ho Chi Minh City.

      After breakfast, leave Ho Chi Minh City for Mekong Delta. During the 1.5-hour drive, pass by green rice fields before arriving at the beautiful rural My Tho. Your morning trip continues from here by motorized boat on the Tien River to the Tortoise Islet. On the way, see the fishing port, boat-building workshops, and the Dragon, Phoenix, and Unicorn Islet.

      Next, walk into the village, where you can visit a local fruit garden and enjoy the tropical fruit while listening to Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by islanders. Here you also can join the daily activities of the local people and take in the atmosphere of this beautiful natural countryside. Visit the bee house, and take a picture of the snakes. Lunch will be served right in the heart of the orchard garden.


      The boat cruise will lead you through Bao Dinh Canal, entering Ben Tre province โ€” โ€œthe land of coconuts.โ€ Here youโ€™ll see a typical agricultural model called โ€œGarden โ€“ Pond โ€“ Cage,โ€ before visiting the coconut candy-making shop.

      Next, enjoy a rowing boat trip on the small canal, fully covered by the shadow of the water coconutโ€™s trees. After your boat ride, relax in a hammock or take a bike ride around the island before farewell time to return Ho Chi Minh City.


      Upon arrival, we will transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Hanoi where your next discovery.

      Today is your chance to learn more about and delve deeper into our thousand of year cultural capital. First, visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Presidential Palace. The next destination is the Temple of Literature, built in 1070 and known as the first university in Vietnam. Now this temple has become an essential symbol of Hanoi.


      After lunch, visit the Museum of Ethnology to learn about 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam and their colorful cultures. Next, return to Hoan Kiem Lake and start a fun 1-hour cyclo ride to witness the afternoon atmosphere in Hanoi Old Quarter followed by a Water Puppet performance.

      Today is set for an insight into the marvelous Ha Long Bay from Hanoi. 

      7:30 โ€“ 8.30: Pick up by shuttle bus at your hotel and head for Halong Bay.

      12:30- 13:00: Embark on a cruise after the check-in procedure at the pier and enjoy a welcome drink.

      13:00- 14:00: Lunch be served while cruising among wonderful limestone islandsโ€ฆ

      14:00- 15:00: Visiting Sung Sot Cave

      15:00:  Boat moves to Luon Cave area for kayaking and swimming, hiking Titop Island if permits, take photos.

      17:30: Return to the cruise, relaxingโ€ฆ.

      19:30: Dinner is served.

      20:00: Evening entertainment options: Squid fishing, karaoke, board games, movies or star gazing on the upper deck.

      11:00- 12:00:  Lunch will be served on the boat on the way back to Halong Harbor.

      12:30: Return to Halong Harbor and get back to Hanoi on a shuttle bus

      An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning almsgiving ritual to saffron-clad monks. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving this procession. Stop and visit fresh local markets and back to the hotel for breakfast.

      This morning, depart to visit Wat Visoun, the site of the impressive Thad Makmo stupa. The rounded dome is stylistically more Sinhalese than Lao.  Continue to visit Wat Aham. Then, visit the most photographed temple, Vat Xiengthong. Located at the end of the peninsular close to the confluence of the Mekong and Khan Rivers.

      This afternoon, continue to the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum. Visit Wat Mai, a temple renowned for its golden bas-relief. During Pimai, the Lao New Year, the Prabang normally housed in the Royal Palace Museum is brought and put on public display in this temple.

      This morning transfer to the pier where you board a traditional long trail boat, for a relaxing cruise upstream on the mighty Mekong River. Enjoy stunning mountain scenery and witness simple rural lifestyles. You will reach Pak Ou caves at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers. In these 2 caves are displayed hundreds of sacred centuries-old Buddha images which are the object of pilgrimages during the Lao New Year festivities around mid-April. Cruise back to Luang Prabang. Stop and visit Ban Xangkhong, a weaving village, where you can jump into wooden looms with a local expert for practice and experience.

      This afternoon, driving through green rice paddies and farms. On your arrival at the Kuang Si waterfall, enjoy your short walking on trails of falls to visit the bear rescued centre. Enjoy spectacular views and surrounding of orchids inside the park and falls cascade over many calcified tiers and down several hundred feet into a series of cool, turquoise pools. Return to Luang Prabang.
