In the afternoon at 5.30 PM, welcome your first day in Hanoi with a unique walking street food tour around the Old Quarter to enjoy the local cuisine, and learn about the lives as well as the cultures of typical Vietnamese. Today is the chance for you to discover the city of Hanoi deeply. First, pay a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Presidential Palace. The next destination is the Temple of Literature, built in 1070 which is also known as the first university in Vietnam. Now this temple has become an important symbol of Hanoi. After lunch, visit the Museum of Ethnology to learn about 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam and their colorful cultures. Next, return to Hoan Kiem Lake and start a fun 1-hour cyclo ride to witness the afternoon atmosphere in Hanoi Old Quarter followed by a Water Puppet performance. Accommodation: Hotel in Hanoi (3*)

Today, we will take you from Hanoi to Sapa on a newly-constructed highway by Limousine shuttle bus. And now, get ready to observe a dramatic change from the hectic metropolitan life of Hanoi to the hilly rustic Sapa. The road trip lasts for around 6 hours. In the afternoon, start a cable car trip to explore the Fansipan Mount – known as the “roof of Indochina” at the height of 3,143m. There you can get a panoramic view of both Vietnam and China.
