After Bouddhanath Stupa we will go to Pashupatinath, the most celebrated Hindu temple in Nepal and is located on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River, where Hindu holy men (sadhus) meditate, pilgrims bathe and on occasions, there are funeral pyres burning at the Ghats. Another highlight of todayโ€™s tour is a visit to the renowned Bhaktapur Durbar Square that houses a collection of pagoda and Shikhar โ€“ style temples strategically placed around a 55 window palace constructed in the traditional style of brick and timber. Medical experts strongly advise that you move around and avoid being idle. We may decide to visit the villages of Khumjung and Khudi to help acclimatize, which is a perfect place to stop for lunch.
