Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu

Pass By: Kathmandu, Kathmandu, Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
You will be welcomed by our staff standing with your name-card in the airport arrival terminal and transferred to your hotel by the private vehicle. There will be a dinner program in one of the Nepalese restaurants with typical Nepalese cuisine. There will be a small meeting about the trip in the evening.

Day 2: Full Day Kathmandu Sightseeing

Pass By: Kathmandu, Kathmandu, Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
Today after breakfast, you will start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites, including the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous Monkey Temple Swayambunath and Buddhist shrine of Bouddhanath, which is one of the largest Stupas in the world.

Day 3: Drive or Fly to Pokhara - 6/7 hrs driving

Pass By: Pokhara, Pokhara, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
After breakfast at hotel you will drive or Fly to Pokhara. By driving it takes about 6 to 7 hours and by flight it takes about 45 minutes. Rest of the time you will visit Phewa Lake and boating around there. Overnight at Hotel (Breakfast Included)

Day 4: Morning Visit Sarangkot and day Pokhara Sightseeing

Pass By: Pokhara, Pokhara, Gandaki Zone, Western Region
Today is the most important day of your tour because you are going to Sarangkot, a significant viewpoint to see the Himalayas. Early morning you will drive to Sarangkot to view the magnificent view of the Annapurna Range, Machhapuchhre, Himchuli, Manaslu, and many others. After spending a couple of hours in Sarangkot, you will get back to the Hotel for Breakfast. After some rest, you will have sightseeing around Pokhara. You will visit Phewa Lake, the Davi's Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, Barahi Temple, and Hanging (Suspension) bridge, which are the most popular spots. Overnight at Hotel (Breakfast Included)

Day 5: Drive or Fly Back to Kathmandu

Today, after breakfast you will drive or fly back to Kathmandu and visit other remaining places in Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel (Breakfast Included)

Day 6: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (137km, 7 hrs)

Pass By: Syabrubeshi Departure Arrival Station, Balaju, Kathmandu 44600, Nepal
Our driver will pick you up in your hotel from 9:00-9:30 am. Then we will drive to China Tibet border. While driving near Mt. Himalaya, you can see the deep gorges, snow-capped mountains on the way. We will also drive across the Langtang National Park.
Stay overnight in the village guest house in Syabrubesi.

Day 7: Syabrubesi to Kyirong (Gyirong) (40km, 4-5hrs) (B)

Pass By: Gyirong County, Shigatse, Tibet, China
After breakfast, we will drive 15km to the border to enter China. You will meet our guide in China side. Then we will drive 1 hour to Kyirong (2800m) where is surrounded by lofty snow-capped mountains and dense forests. In the afternoon, you take a stroll to visit Paba Temple (2850m), a Gelugpa temple built by Tibetan King Songtsan Gambo at the proposal of his wife Nepali princess Bhrikuti. The Nepali style temple with delicate murals is only within minutesโ€™ walk from your hotel.

Day 8: Kyirong to Everest Base Camp (Chomolungma) to Tingri (480km, 11 hrs)

Pass By: Tingri County, Tingri County, Tibet
Today, we will first drive to pass through Peiku Tso Lake and grassland. Then we continue to drive to Everest Base Camp and visit the world's highest Monastery, the Rongbuk Monastery. On the way, you can view the splendid panoramic Himalaya Mountain Range at Gyawula Pass (5200m).
After visiting Everest Base Camp (Chomolungma in the Tibetan Language), we will drive to Tingri.

Day 9: Tingri to Shigatse (280km, 7 hrs) (B)

Pass By: Shigatse, Shigatse, Tibet
Today, we will drive from Tingri to Shigatse. On the way, you will visit the 5000m G318 National Highway milestone in Lhatse. After your arrival in Shigatse in the early afternoon, you will visit the seat of Panchan Lama - Tashilunpo Monastery, one of the most important monasteries in Tibet.

Day 10: Shigatse to Lhasa via Gyantse (375km) (B)

Pass By: Lhasa, Lhasa, Tibet
Today, we will drive to Lhasa via Gyantse. On the way, you can see many Tibetan farmer villages. After arriving in Gyantse, you will visit Heritage town Gyantse old street and Perklor Monastery, Kumbum stupa. Then you will also visit Manak Dam Lake, Karola Glacier and Yamdrok Lake on the way to Lhasa.

Day 11: Lhasa Tour - Potala Palace, Johkang Temple, and Barkhor Street (B)

Today's tour will first bring you to the Potala Palace, which is the winter palace of the Dalai Lama. It was put to use since the 7th century by the 33rd great king of Tibet. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.
Then after lunch, tourists head to Jokhang temple, which was founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century. Inside, you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve. Outside, you can see pilgrims making prostrating in front of Jokhang Temple. Around the temple is Barkhor street, where you can do kora (a religious circle of a building or mountain) with pilgrims and locals, and explore the old market.
Besides, We can taste Tibetan tea with locals in the tea house.

Day 12: Lhasa Tour - Drepung and Sera Monastery (B)

In the morning, you are going to visit Drepung Monastery, which is one of the โ€œgreat threeโ€ Gelug monasteries of Tibet, founded in 1416 by Jamyang Choge, one of the Tsongkhapaโ€™s main disciples. You can visit the most significant monastery kitchen inside the monastery and enjoy the Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop near Drepung.
In the Afternoon, Tourists will visit Sera Monastery, which is another one of the โ€œgreat threeโ€ Gelug monasteries of Tibet. The hot attraction is the Monks debating in the courtyard of SeraMonastery. Also, you will see colorful rock painting of Buddha and see the three sand Mandalas in Sera Monastery.

Day 13: Depart from Lhasa (B)

The guide will transfer you to the airport or train station and help you get on board. Our representative will pick-up you form Kathmandu airport and transfer you to the hotel and overnight there. We will provide a farewell dinner on this day.

Day 14: Final Departure

The Glimpses of Nepal and Tibet Tour comes to an end today! A Peregrine Tourโ€™s representative will escort us to the airport approximately 3 hours before our scheduled flight. On our way home, we have plenty of time to plan our next adventure.
