Day 1: Bishkek City tour

Stop At: Victory Square, Bishkek Kyrgyzstan
Bishkek is the capital of Kyrgyzstan and considered as the main city of the country.
Bishkek is an interesting young city with shady squares and green parks, as well as a city centre rich with sights, will give many impressions to lovers of walks. Since it is the largest city in the country, the whole spectrum of entertainment is available here: theatres, cinemas, shopping centres, entertainment complexes, museums and much more.
One of the top visiting places of the capital is Alatoo square which will attract visitors with the triumphant statue of Manas, Kyrgyz national artistic hero. The interesting process on the square is soldiers change the guard beside the soaring national flagpole. Also, the state history museum is located on the Alatoo square, where visitors can get acquainted with the history of Kyrgyz people and state formation.
If you would like to see the place which will surprise with the most selection of national souvenirs, national clothes and food including snacks, fresh fruits, vegetables and sweet dry fruits all year round - Osh bazaar is recommended for visiting! Seldom any tourist excursion from far and near countries dispenses with visiting this place.

Bishkek is also good for outdoor enthusiasts. The city is located very close to the huge Kyrgyz ridge, rich in mountain gorges with lots of natural attractions. From Bishkek, many routes begin to the mountains of the Northern Tien Shan. Near Bishkek, there is a large number of ski resorts, and therefore it is an ideal place in winter to experience skiing and hiking with amazing surroundings.

Day 2: Hiking in Ala archa National Park

Have you arrived in Bishkek and would like to try hiking and sightseeing amazing alpine mountains and nature not far from the city? If you said โ€œyesโ€ to this question, it is a great recommendation to visit a place which is located approximately 40 kilometers south of the Kyrgyzstan capital. It is the Ala-Archa National Park!
It is established in 1976 and considered an alpine national park in the Tian-Shan mountains of Kyrgyzstan. It is a big park encompassing the area of 200km square including forested slopes, beautiful mountains, green meadows, interesting wildlife, and fast-flowing rivers. The name of the national park is โ€œAla Archaโ€ and it is translated as Striped (Many-colored) Juniper which is prevailed in the park and gives a pleasant scent around it. Archa means juniper in Kyrgyz is held traditionally in special esteem by Kyrgyz people. They are burning the juniper branches believing that they chase away the evil spirits as well as it destroys the microbes from their houses with the smoke.
The National Park Ala-Archa is a popular destination both for tourists and locals. In late spring and summer, locals love to drive away shortly from the city overwhelms and have a picnic or barbecue in the park surrounded by wonderful nature. The highest peak in the Kyrgyz Ala-Too Range of the Tian Shan - the Peak Semenova Tian-Shanski is located in the park. Also, you can find more than 20 small and large glaciers and some 50 mountain peaks that attract amateur and experienced hikers and mountain climbers. As for the rivers, Adygene and Ak-Sai are flowing from the glaciersโ€™ melting waters so you can try the crystally clear water.
The park is open year-round, so it is possible to visit it any season. Fact is that at any time the Ala-Archa National Park has a unique beauty that wonโ€™t leave anybody indifferent.

Day 3: Cholpon Ata

Stop At: Burana Tower, Don-Aryk, Tokmok 722201 Kyrgyzstan
Do you know that you can visit ancient Silk-road minaret in Kyrgyzstan only 80 kilometres from Bishkek? The Burana tower is the 11th-century minaret which was the part of old ancient city Balasagun, capital of Karakhanid empire. You can have a great short trip to this archaeological and cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan with beautiful sight from the top of the tower. The minaret is the 25 meters tall placed on the absolutely beautiful location surrounded by green fields and majestic Tian-Shan mountains. It is possible to climb to the top of the tower by a steep, spiralling staircase and enjoy an amazing view of mountains and countryside.
Different interesting legends of why the tower was built exist. By some researchers, Burana served as an observation tower. From its height, it was possible to notice the approach of the enemy.
Also near the tower, you can see a small collection of stone idols or balbals in Kyrgyz and petroglyphs scattered around the ground, which were collected from the ancient Turkic burial grounds of the Chui valley, Issyk-Kul region and the Tien Shan.
These sculptures are monuments with carefully crafted features of the face, headgear, jewellery, hairstyles, weapons. It is an exceptionally interesting experience to wander between these carved faces. Nearby museum of the Burana tower is small but special so it is worth to visit it to know more about history.
