      Welcome to your tour with Europamundo!Today, weโ€™ll journey to the heart of France, passing through the Bourgogne region, renowned for its picturesque vineyards and world-class wines. Our first stop will be Beaune, a charming town in the center of Burgundy known for its flower-filled streets, hospice, and wine museum. After some free time for lunch and a walk, weโ€™ll continue to Lyon, the former capital of Roman Gaul, located on the banks of the Rhรดne River. Lyonยดs historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Weโ€™ll take a cable car up to Notre-Dame de Fourviรจre, where we can enjoy a stunning view of the city. Youโ€™ll have some free time to explore at your leisure.Note: In some cases, part of the group will stay in Chambรฉry, a city near Lyon. In these instances, weโ€™ll travel to Chambรฉry in the evening for an overnight stay. In the morning, youโ€™ll have time to visit this medieval-style city, the capital de la Saboya, known for its beautiful historic center and impressive castle.

      Today, weโ€™ll travel to Switzerland. Upon arrival in Geneva, weโ€™ll pass by the Palace of Nations (the European headquarters of the United Nations) and explore the pretty English Garden with its flower clock and admire the Jet dโ€™Eau, the tallest fountain in Europe. Passing through vineyard landscapes, weโ€™ll reach Chillon Castle, built on the waters of Lake Geneva. Admission is included to this fantastic medieval castle. Afterward, weโ€™ll visit the picturesque walled village of Gruyeres, known worldwide for its cheese. Nearby, there are several major Swiss chocolate factories (including NESTLE). Weโ€™ll visit the Cailler Chocolate Factory, with a tasting included! Weโ€™ll continue traveling on smaller roads through bucolic mountain landscapes and picturesque wooden villages, arriving in Leysin, a beautiful holiday village. Dinner will be included.Note: At times, accommodation may be arranged in another Swiss town nestled in the heart of the Alps, often Martigny.

      Weโ€™ll experience stunning mountain scenery today, so be sure to pack your winter clothes. Weโ€™ll ascend to Glacier 3000 by cable car ride, one of the most spectacular spots in Switzerland featuring ice and snow year-round, and where you can walk on the suspended bridge between two mountain peaks, explore the Ice Cathedral, or enjoy the Fun Park. Weโ€™ll stop in Interlaken for lunch before traveling to the Aare Gorge. Next, weโ€™ll take the Susten Pass, one of the most beautiful roads in Switzerland between glaciers that will lead us to the Italian-speaking part of the country. Weโ€™ll stay overnight in Chiasso, a Swiss town on the border with Italy.Note: Occasionally, due to weather conditions such as rain or strong winds, the cable car to Glacier 3000 may not operate. Additionally, the Susten Pass Road is typically closed from mid-October until the end of May. In such cases, the journey will follow alternative routes.

      Weโ€™ll visit Lugano, the cosmopolitan capital of Italian Switzerland with its beautiful lake, where weโ€™ll have time to stroll. Continuing along the highway, weโ€™ll cross the Gotthard Road Tunnel and stop in Bรผrglen, the charming village where William Tell was born. Weโ€™ll see the 16th-century chapel adorned with paintings illustrating his life. If you wish, you can also visit the William Tell Museum. In the neighboring city of Altdorf, weโ€™ll find more traces of his history. Our journey will then take us to Lucerne, where weโ€™ll have free time to explore this beautiful city by its namesake lake. Finally, weโ€™ll depart for Zurich, arriving at the end of the day.

Here, youโ€™ll have the chance to explore the old town, with its standout Town Hall Square and the impressive Cathedral that overlooks the Rhine River. Next, weโ€™ll continue to Alsace, a French region historically contested between France and Germany. Alsace preserves its own German dialect, Alsatian, and features architecture and traditions with strong Germanic roots. Weโ€™ll stop in Colmar, a city renowned for its unique architecture, with colorful wooden houses and charming canals. Colmar is also famous for its white wine and excellent cuisine. Youโ€™ll have time for lunch and a leisurely walk through the city. In the afternoon, weโ€™ll visit two of Alsaceโ€™s most beautiful villages: Riquewihr, a medieval town with cobblestone streets and colorful houses that look like theyโ€™re straight out of a fairy taleโ€”and were, in fact, the inspiration for scenes in Beauty and the Beastโ€”and Ribeauville, known for its historic center and castle ruins that overlook the town. Weโ€™ll arrive in Strasbourg in the evening. We suggest taking a walk through the Cathedral and Petite France areas, both filled with charming spots and cozy restaurants.

Weโ€™ll include a boat trip through the canals of Petite France to fully appreciate this beautiful area. Afterward, weโ€™ll cross into Germany, passing through the scenic mountain landscapes and towns of the Black Forest. In Freiburg, youโ€™ll have time for lunch and a walk through this lively university city, known for its medieval center and impressive cathedral. Weโ€™ll then continue through the Black Forest to Triberg, one of the most picturesque towns in the region, famous for its cuckoo clocks. Weโ€™ll include admission to the Triberg Waterfalls, Germanyโ€™s highest waterfalls, which youโ€™ll reach via a lovely walking path. Next, weโ€™ll visit Gengenbach, a charming town with a beautiful central square, before heading to Baden-Baden for the night. This spa town, once a favorite retreat for European nobility and the upper bourgeoisie, still exudes an air of elegance with its casinos, architecture, and parks.

Our first stop will be Speyer, a historic city along the Rhine River. Here, you can explore the grand Romanesque cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and wander through the old quarter, where Alte Mรผnze stands out. Weโ€™ll then make our way to Heidelberg, where a cable car will take us up to the impressive castle, offering breathtaking views over the city (tickets included). Your ticket includes access to the castleโ€™s gardens, wineries, and the apothecary museum. Afterward, youโ€™ll have time for lunch and a leisurely walk through the old town, including the Marktplatz. In the afternoon, weโ€™ll arrive in Frankfurt, a bustling financial center known for its modern skyscrapers, historic old town, scenic views of the Rhine River, and vibrant nightlife.

Some of its highlights include the old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the cityโ€™s fortifications, the Grand Ducal Palace, and the Notre-Dame Cathedral. After lunch, weโ€™ll continue our journey into France. In the heart of the Champagne-producing region, weโ€™ll stop in Reims, where you can marvel at its stunning Gothic cathedral, the historic site of numerous French royal coronations. Weโ€™ll arrive in Paris by the end of the day.
