  • Day 1 Santa Marta- Minca- San Elena Property

      Santa Marta- Minca- San Elena Property

      You meet your guide upon arrival at the airport in Santa Marta. You have to get there by 8 or 9 am. From here, you take the transfer to the Sierra Nevada mountains. Sierra Nevada is the worldโ€™s highest coastal range, you'll see the Caribbean coast from the heights.

      You are driven on terrain trucks from Minca (1 hour journey) to La Victoria Coffee farm. After tasting a cup of handcrafted coffee, you are driven to La Tagua, where you start the 2 hour hike to Santa Elena Property. Enjoy the warmth of the Colombian people during your homestay, where you'll get a special menu and a comfortable place to sleep and rest.

  • Day 2 Kennedy Hill Viewpoint- Taironaka Reserve

      After a typical Colombian breakfast with fresh fruit and coffee, you start the hike to the mountain viewpoint at Kennedy Hill where you will admire a beautiful sunrise over the Caribbean. Later enjoy a well-deserved snack as you relax, and then hike back to the Santa Elena Property.

      In the afternoon, you hit the road towards Taironaka Archeological Reserve, where you'll cruise through the river to get to the cabins, where you'll spend the next nights. Once there, rest at the beach and enjoy a typical costal meal.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

      Accommodation: Cabin at Taironaka Reserve, double room.

      Hiking Time: 2 hrs.

  • Day 3 Kayaking at Don Diego River (Taironaka Resrve)

      After a delicious breakfast, explore the area in the morning. This is an archeological site of the Koguis, an indigenous group that lives in Sierra Nevada.

      Then sail along the Don Diego River in kayaks (4 hr. activity). You might spot some monkeys and tropical birds as they flock to a canopy that hangs over the river banks.

      Arrive to a beach that is only accessible from the river and relax before taking a boat back upstream to Taironaka.

      At night, enjoy dinner at the lodge.

  • Day 4 Taironaka- Tayrona Park- Santa Marta

      Taironaka- Tayrona Park- Santa Marta

      Move from Taironaka to Tayrona National Park, the most amazing spot in the Colombian Caribbean. The park hides beautiful beaches and wildlife, which you'll get to explore on incredible hikes from the mountains to the beach.

      At the end of the day relax in the turquoise water and then, return to Santa Marta to catch your flight back home.

      Note: Your flight need to depart after 8 pm; otherwise, we suggest booking an extra night in Santa Marta.
