What temperatures will there be during this trip?

The temperature will vary depending on the season of the year in which you are taking the tour. Regularly from MAY to OCTOBER it is rainy season, so it is not so cold; from NOVEMBER to APRIL it is dry season so it is a bit colder.
In Acatenango, you can get from 0 to -5 ºC at the top and the campsite.
In Pacaya, you can get from 10 to 0 ºC at the top and the campsite.
In Antigua, you can get from 25 to 12 ºC in summer, and from 15 to 8 ºC in winter.

From Antigua to Pacaya Volcano: 1.5 Hour
From Antigua to Lake Atitlán: 2.5 Hour (sometimes more due to traffic)

Are there extra expenses? What currency do you recommend to bring?

There are not many "extra" expenses necessary, but you could optionally get help on the days of climbing a volcano. The cost of each service is the following:
- Porters in Acatenango: Q.200 one way - Q.200 return
- Horse in Pacaya: Q.150 one way - Q.150 return
- Transfer from airport to Antigua is not included, you can add it on &#x27;extras&#x27;.

It is advisable to travel with American dollars or Guatemalan Quetzal. You can change from dollars to Quetzales without any problem upon arrival.
