  • Day 1 Day 1: Airport / Anuradhapura

      Day 1: Airport / Anuradhapura

      Welcome & pick up at the Bandaranaike International Airport, leave for Anuradhapura.


      Upon reaching, you will take off to the city of Anuradhapura.


      Anuradhapura is one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka, famous for its well-preserved ruins of an ancient Sri Lankan civilization. The city, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was the centre of Theravada Buddhism for many centuries.


      Overnight stay in hotel at Anuradhapura.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Polonnaruwa / Minneriya National Park / Sigiriya

      The next day you will  depart to Polonnaruwa for the tour on ancient city.


      Polonnaruwa is the second most ancient of Sri Lankaโ€™s kingdoms. The ancient city of Polonnaruwa remains one of the best planned archaeological relic cities in the country, standing testimony to the discipline and greatness of the Kingdomโ€™s first rulers and has been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO.


      Then you will be driven to the Sigiriya. On the way you will


      you will stop for a Jeep Safari in Minneriya National Park.


      Minneriya National Park is a national park in North Central Province of Sri Lanka. The reason for declaring the area as national park is to protect the catchment of Minneriya tank and the wildlife of the surrounding area. Large numbers of Sri Lankan elephants are attracted to grass fields on the edges of the reservoir during the dry season. Elephants gathered here is numbering around 150-200, sometimes 700.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Sigiriya / Dambulla / Matale / Kandy

      After breakfast you will visit for climb Sigiriya Lion Rock.


      Sigiriya is a one of UNESCO listed World Heritage Site for its best preserved ancient urban planning. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres (660 ft) high.


      Then you will be driven to the Kandy. On the way you will visit Dambulla Cave Temple.


      Dambulla โ€“ one of UNESO World Heritage Site, is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains.There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, three statues of Sri Lankan kings and four statues of gods and goddesses.


      After leave to Spice Garden and Hindu Temple in Matele.


      In the Spice Garden, you will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed and you will also be able to purchase spices.


      Sri Muthumariamman Temple is dedicated to Mariamman, the goddess of rain and fertility. One of the most visually dominant features of this temple is itโ€™s 55 m (180 ft) high Gopuram (โ€˜Raja Koburumโ€™), a large decorated tower located above the main northern gateway (โ€˜Vadakku Veli Veediโ€™) to the temple.


      Later in the day you will arrive to the Kandy. 

  • Day 4 Day 4: Peradeniya / Nuwara Eliya

      After breakfast leave to Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya. It attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is renowned for its collection of orchids. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres (0.59 km2).


      Next, you will be driven to the Nuwara Eliya. On the way you will come across several water falls. Ramboda Falls is one visit we have scheduled for you. Along the way you can also visit the Tea Factory and the luscious Tea Plantations of the country.


      Upon reaching, you will take off to the city tour in Nuwara Eliya. 


      Nuwara Eliya (City of Lights) is a resort city in the Central Mountain range of Sri Lanka. It is at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) and is considered to be the most important location for tea production in Sri Lanka. The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya is known for its temperate, cool climate โ€” the coolest area in Sri Lanka.


      Return to Kandy for overnight stay.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Kandy / Pinnawala / Airport

      After breakfast, you will take off to the city of Kandy.


      Kandy is a major city located in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. It was the last capital of the ancient kingsโ€™ era of Sri Lanka. The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is both an administrative and religious city and is also the capital of the Central Province. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988.


      You will visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Also known as Sri Dalada Maligawa, this golden roofed Temple houses the relic of Lord Buddhaโ€™s tooth.  


      Next, you will be driven to the Airport for departure. En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Established in 1975, Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala village, 13 km (8.1 mi) northeast of Kegalle town. Pinnawala has the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. In 2011, there were 88 elephants, including 39 males and 49 females from 3 generations, living in Pinnawala. The orphanage was founded to care and protect the many orphaned unweaned wild elephants found wandering in and near the forests of Sri Lanka.


      Depending on the time of your flight, you will be driven to the Airport two-three hours in advance.
